I cracked jee adv 2022 with 9539 rank and jee mains 2022 with 33516 rank and i can proudly say that i am non iitian but i am happy that i made thru jee adv.
The main problem with this country is because most of the parents want their child to become engineer and doctor through IIT and AIMS and I can understand why they want to because of middle class and to overcome this money problem but people only see yeah it's IIT and he/she get placed in a big company and so this and that but they forget that only 22% in IIT b-tech CSE get placed in Tech companies and rest of them get placed in FMCG and other industries that's why Entrepreneurship is not much get appreciated in the society because we are afraid of taking risks. And I know people would say in reply that most of the IITians are entrepreneur and that's true in most cases but not the full true at all compare to best entrepreneur with billions of net worth who not IITians compared to our population and the best thing is that the rise of content creators and free knowledge on Internet soon the education system is gonna be obsolete and people are now exploring new fields and yeah Jeetu bhaiya said true that tough battle gives confidence but why only JEE is the tough battle dude look around and see there are more tough battles in life than mere exams like jee and neet , I'am saying this because in 2020 i completed my school with PCB with CS and the funny thing is everyone around me telling go do NEET i'mean 80% of them and I wanted to do something different and I don't want to become the part of this rat race and I did it i didn't gave neet because i don't like this education system and I'm interested in Cyber Security in computer Science and I found a field known as Bug bounty which is very hard and competitive in it and I worked very hard to learn Hacking and now it's 2022 and I earn 45,000 usd in a year sometimes even 71k usd which is better than most of the employee can earn in a year and I am doing B.Voc Software Development along with it and I'am happy with my decision and also starting to open a startup so keep looking don't stuck in this rat race.
I wasn't happy with my mains rank. So I decided to try better for advanced and I got 4016 AIR and I chose seat in CSE at IIT Dharwad. I worked my ass off, now I live some of the worst days of my life.

Yes. I have seen many people from local colleges making a very good living. IITians have the benefit of the brand name. It's very easy for them to negotiate their salaries. They can just say that I'll leave your company and update their LinkedIn to unemployed and they'll be employed with a better package again. But non IITians can make it too, with a bi more difficulty
People who say iit is the fair competitive exam they forget that there is something called reservation exist in jee and iit, more 45 percent seats are reserved for obc, sc and st a general guys needs a rank of AIR below 300 for cs in iit bombay but sc Or st students need a rank under 3k and if a girl with st or sc reservation just need a rank below 15k , soo people don't they that iit jee is a fair competition exam. Thats why iit is not at all necessary there are Institutes like bits and iiit which on par with top 5 old iits and miles better then nits
