- In a gaggle with reporters Tuesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy tried to absolve himself and the House of responsibility for an impending government shutdown. He put the onus on President Biden and said border security would need to be a part of any short-term spending solution. CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion led the questioning of McCarthy.

What a pathetic attempt to shift the blame because of his own personal weakness.

if I remember government 101, the congress makes the bills and the president can sign or veto the bill. he is deflecting his responsibility for the boarder on to the president.
They ignore it when a Republican President is in Office, then they exacerbate the issue for political points when a Democrat takes over. Bush begged Republicans to work with Democrats over immigration reform. They refused. Even their "build a wall" under Trump was smoke as they went on to refuse to address immigration. They have been refusing to actually do something about it for decades. They want the talking point.
If Biden can approve 500,000 illegals the right to work and be protected then yes, the president can allow illegals to cross. It is Biden’s fault.

The Virgin Islands, where pervert Epstein had an estate, sued JPMorgan Chase last year, saying its investigation has revealed that the financial services giant enabled democrat Epstein’s recruiters to pay victims and was “indispensable to the operation and concealment of the Epstein trafficking enterprise." It had been seeking penalties and disgorgement of at least $190 million, in addition to other damages.
In effect, the Virgin Islands had argued that JPMorgan Chase had been complicit in democrat Epstein's behavior and did not raise any red flags to law enforcement or bank regulators about Epstein being a “high risk” customer and making repeated large cash withdrawals.
The bank also said it reached an confidential legal settlement with democrat James “Jes” Staley, the former top JPMorgan Chase executive who managed the Epstein account before leaving the the bank. JPMorgan Chase sued Staley earlier this year, alleging that he covered up or minimized Epstein's wrongdoing in order to maintain the lucrative account.
JPMorgan Chase had already agreed to pay $290 million in June in a class-action lawsuit that involved victims of democrat Epstein's trafficking crimes. JP Morgan Chase has also paid a $920,000,000 fine for manipulating the prices of gold and silver.
Democrat Epstein did NOT die by suicide in a federal jail in 2019. He is alive and well after plastic surgery. The video recordings of the elites banging underage little girls is his guarantee of a long life.

@@erikkengaard1894 According to the Separation of Powers, the House sets the budget, the Senate confirms/ modifies it, the President signs or doesn’t sign it. McCarthy’s job is to collect the votes from HIS party by getting them to agree. He hasn’t done that yet.
He is not worried about the American people; otherwise he would be talking to Hakim Jeffries and the Democrats to pass the bill (s). His OWN party is the obstruction. If he cared about the paychecks of government workers, the checks to Medicare and those dependent on government checks, he would have lined up the votes. Immigrants crossing the border is one topic of concern, it is not the sole concern. We have an epidemic of gun violence in this country that in most cases is in inflicted by US citizens. Vilifying illegal immigrants and focusing on the negative consequences of their immigration without taking into account the positive aspects is an unfair and disingenuous. Also, let’s be frank, our credit rating was just reduced to AA+, the citizens of the country and it s leadership are not in a position where there’s significant wiggle room to engage in personal ideological battles over immigration. Just as there are negative consequences to it, there are also negative consequences to globalization corporate exporting of jobs across both northern and southern borders to Canada and Mexico, yet is Congress acknowledging it? What is Congress have in mind about creating jobs and long-term prospects for economic growth that differ from the current standards?
