I lived hoodlife for decades, and couldn't regret it more. Grown ass men worrying about what the hood is playing.. Is ridiculous. I absolutely enjoyed Eminem sometimes. In fact the older I've grown, more I've learned to enjoy him music and respect him for what he stands for.. In terms of hiphop and being a father.
Good comment that's why all there favorite hood rappers praise eminem and eminem is hood wow he didn't sell Crack but lived in Detroit a dominated black community and helped more black artists than most black artists facts
@@keithdoherty7396 no they don't.
The hoods are playin Sexxy Redd more than Nas...What does that mean? Do we have to lower the status Nas has in HipHop now???
It's not the hood fault that industries promote sexy red over nas. most people don't even know that nas is coming out with an album while the industry makes sure sexy red is everywhere for promo purposes. Nas is a way better rapper but he's not played in the clubs, rave parties, and other events so it's just not the hood that doesn't support Nas. Knight be filling yall heads up with bullshit
It's not entirely accurate to say that Eminem's music is completely absent from "the hood" or urban communities. His talent and lyrical skill has earned him respect across diverse audiences, including in urban areas. While there may be skepticism about Eminem's reception in certain hip-hop circles, his talent and impact have ensured that his music is appreciated and respected across diverse communities, including those traditionally associated with "the hood."

@@hoodiemike210 that's a lie
@hoodiemike210 keep laughing. eminem is not a joke who's rapping at this level at 51🎉
They study his lyrics in colleges. Look it up
I have been bumping the Eminem album nearly every day since the release ha
Facts.
Sameee
Lucifer and guilty conscience 2 and there's other but those are next level with lyrics if people can understand it 😆.
Em isnt for bumping in the background, you actually have to listen with intention and no distractions. Em has the music my friends call me about privately to be like "yo did you catch this crazy shit?!".
Lol but as eminem fan since the age of 10, i may have big weenie and kill you play in the background as i work. Eminem's cadence helps me get in focus. Lol
Music is music. If it actually sounds good, you can bump it whenever, foreground or background.
What Em makes these days is generally lyrical exhibition, but generally not good sounding music.
@J-Hue well that's kind of what I'm saying. It doesn't really sound good/catchy or soothing. It's more of a mental exercise. Or like you said, lyrical exhibition. It's hard to appreciate unless you either really listen with intent, or are a lyricist yourself.
I was gonna comment something similar! Feel like people bump that modern rap that sounds live and hype, Em someone you listen to and just sit in awe at the lyricism.
A lot of old heads bump his shit but the younger gen on that new shit, or just what I see around me
Bumbing em since 99, every single day
It so wild watching Stevies perspective now. Ive been watching this channel almost from the jump. Hes done a complete 180 on Em. He literally became a Stan, when at first he knew zero about him, and prob wudda been one of the guys dissing him! Its funny AF. Ive been an Em fan since 99, greatest ever to do it, but i just find it interesting to see how Stevie over the years learned about Em. Also I think he realized his number of subscribers started to jump when he started to do Em videos, so that kind of pushed him in that direction imo.
Facts.
Anyone that dives into ems discography would switch. Most of the people that hate haven’t heard 25% of his music and just follow the crowd because they think it’s cool

"Dr dre was putting his sprinkles"
MFer probably doesn't even know em produced half of that album.
And sprinkles ain't half the cake so that doesn't not prove his point. It's okay to give Dre some credit.
Yeah as a Em Stan, i think the sprinkles were crucial. Both parts equally crucial for what we have today.
@@Mitsunari4Gunz it is. But people want to discredit anyone that Dre had a hand in with it. 50 wanted to work with both Dre and Em so they split production on the album. Both Dre and Em tracks were hits and classics. And that was 50's doing.
Only HALF. Now who's the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER? Dr. Dre. Who Mixed and Mastered the album? Dr. Dre. Try again goofball
@@GrooveGod256no one is denying Dre’s part goofy It was a joint project.
Lucky number 3! On fuel did anyone notice Anyone notice how Em rhymes his 1st verse with letter A scheme (decAde, sprAy, met drAy (dre), cAtch, stAy, plAy, essAy, SA etc) then goes to rhyme with B, (Biggie, Beef, beat,oBesity, Benz, Bitch, Balls, Base etc) then goes crazy with C while mentioning alphabet soup.
I actually just noticed that while listen to it last night. This man is a genius
It’s that “alphabet soup” 😁

@@biscotilet him breathe 😂😂
You are the most level headed common sense dude out of all the reaction content creators. It's just facts, there are a lot of emcee's that are talented, we've just never seen anyone else that's "THAT" nasty for that long with the body of work, and the seemingly endless ability to blow your mind time after time. The flow, the cadence, the delivery, the passion, the goosebumps that make the hair on your arms stand up. In 10 years you will hear a Eminem song and go " O thats what that means" because the depth of his rhyme schemes are so complex and deeply layered you can't possibly take it all in!
I dont listen to Taylor Swift, but im not blind to see she do big numbers either!

The problem is that in this era everyone wants to be so damn gangsta that if some aint "hood" then its whack. Ppl with this mind state dont dislike em bc they think he a bad rapper, they dislike him bc he dont talk about spinning the block on his opps every bar. That's not why most people don"t like Em. They don't bump Em because, sonce Encore, he has focused so much on largely pointless lyrical exhibitioniwm to the point that he's not actually making good sounding music. There's notuch soul or groove.

@x.Rhymiie.x u definitely not a hip hop head if u think anyone outside the culture or any country for that matter has any credibility to say who is the greatest. Popularity don't equal talent. Who is your favorite rapper and TV show?
Em is awesome I've listened to hip hop WAY before em but em is a lyrical genius, my fa v is outcast Cadillac doors
Stevie’s face in the thumbnail says it all…
Never understood the hood argument, the Hood is only a small part of the hip-hop fandom
They always single out Eminem as not being played in the club or cars. Like when was the last time people put Nas on in the car? or Jay Z?, there's a lot more people listening to Eminem in the car than them, and they're all GOATS, but they always single out Eminem because he's outselling modern day rappers, with his old ahh. lmfaooo
Your Damn straight Stevie👏 I F**k'n Love your reviews, calling out Bullshit. Thankyou from "down under" ✌🏼
I bump eminem. Better than radio music.
I was living in south west Philly when recovery came out , everywhere i went i heard that album playing . People say they don't relate ro Eminem music, I don't relate to biggie but i love his music , i dont sell drugs, I don't shoot people, im not in a gang but i still listen to mfs rap about the shit .
EM IS A GENIUS!!!
It's all slang for gatekeeping at this point. Played in the hood, on the block, in the club, and in the car. All just fluffy code words to not bluntly say that you want to gatekeep.
How can you bump into someone who like a lorchness monster, his like a mythical creature.
I am Angolan and I speak directly from the African continent / Angola / Luanda... in all neighborhoods of the capital city radios and cars, 80% of the people here listen to Eminem...
Is it legal to be this early to a Stevie Knight video?
Math usually is on our side. I just think he wants those voices to be heard and recognized. Even though it is a ridiculous narrative that the people in the Hood's opinion really matters that much.
"No One Bumps EMINEM!" ..Eminem has sold over 220 million records globally ...one of the most sucessful artists ever lol ... and by far the rapper with most albuns sold .. but ye .. "No OnE BuMpS eNiMeM
The problem I have about people saying this, is why are the drug dealers and the corners the bar that’s set to judge someone’s relevancy or not? Math wants the culture to grow and get better but he doesn’t want to let go of that simple mindset. Hip hop started as an outlet for the inner city black people to express themselves and should always be respected. In 2024 I’m glad I can listen to someone’s version of hip hop from Alaska lol. Eminem is one artist that takes the craft serious and should be respected and that’s it. I ride around bumping Em all the time
100s of millions of people bump Eminem... implying people buy his music and never listen to it is insane right? Right? Lol
Stevie is Eminem’s number one supporter ❤❤ same here btw. I’m just 19 and I discovered Eminem 3years ago.
Everyone bumps Eminem!
No one does buddy
@@GamerjavianYeah No One But You
@@Gamerjavianstfu do you see his streams? Do you see he is number 1 on on the Billboard?
@@Gamerjavian that's bs
@@Gamerjavian Well.. you obviously do, Since you're this early,
1 mins into an Eminem related content
As a biker who's routinely in Detroit you honestly don't hear much of his music being played... Especially compared to Tee Grizzley, who I hear on a regular basis in the D no matter what club I go to...
Not only a selfish point of view but racist...
In the 90's *Pac* was putting up Big numbers & it wasn't all black people buying *$16.00* physical💿copies (The country was more whiter back then) I'll also ad It to *Em* 2 Decades to surpass *2Pac* in the number of Diamond Albums📀(Ther's ONLY like a dozen Diamond HipHop Albums *2Pac has 2 & Em has 3)*
most of the time i play through the new album is my drive to and from work.
No one bumps Em like that frfr maybe a single here or there but definitely not no album. And not on no day to day
I have an hour drive from work and I was bumping nothing but Eminem the whole way home.
Maybe Math needs to define "hood" ...imho
Marshall has been my #1. Lyricist since SSLP. I cut my teeth on his music as a newly enlisted Airman First Class after graduation in '99. Gore vs. Bush was my intro to politics, Elan Gonzalez v. Janet Reno(U.S.), and of course 9/11 and the "War on Terror" in '01
.... Yeah I played Em...on repeat and still do!
i was waiting for your reaction 😁😂
