Love, love this technique. Can’t wait to try.
Thank you. It is so much fun. Thanks hope you love it.
Really nice effects you’re getting! Taking off masking fluid, I use fingers and keep what comes off, then use that rolled into a ball to take off future masking. It takes itself off better than anything else I’ve found!
Thanks for the great tip!
Love these techniques for the background especially❣️ Thank you.

What a wonderful tip on blotting the snow splatter with a tissue to make bigger splats! I have been using white Gouache for my snow effect, but many say the non bleed is much better. Going to find some. Love your teaching BTW x
Thank You so much!
Beautiful

Thanks…and you’re welcome!
I love it! Absolutely Love it! Thanks for your inspiration, and timely instructions!
Thank you!
The bleed proof white is an opaque paint made for watercolor and does not make your painting a mixed media painting. It would not be allowed in a Transparent Watercolor competition.
Great video! Subscribed! Awesome painting! Thanks for helping people create! May you and yours stay healthy and happy! Big Hug!
Thanks so much for your kind words! I hope you enjoy the process!! 😀
So pretty, I really love the Bokeh effect!

Magnificent! I have been trying to figure out the effect of "bokeh" I can't believe I found it with your channel... Awesome🥰 Thank you
Thank you! I’m so glad this was helpful.
Wow love this. You make it look easy. Still really tough for a beginner painter, but I am sticking with it!
Thank you. It does get easier!
I love this! The tip using the tissue is great. I’m so glad someone in a Facebook watercolor group shared their version of your painting giving you credit so I could discover you here on RUclips. Subscription done! Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

I'm new to your channel! So glad I subscribed!
Thank you and welcome!
Great tutorial. Very helpful to a beginning watercolor artist.
And I’m definitely trying the Bokah effect.
Thank you! Happy painting!
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ESPECIALLY IN 2023 !
Thank you so much. May He bless you also!
Thank you very much.
You are most welcome.
Love these!! Just subscribed. We look forward to more and also that we might be able to hear enough in order to know what you're saying. (We can hear your voice some but not enough for any words. Thanks for listing supplies too!
Thanks you. I’m sorry you can’t hear me well. I’ve tried several different mics but they all made the brush sound and rinsing of water sound drown out my voice. They were even good quality mics. Hopefully I’ll be able to solve that problem!
Bokeh or Boke is pronounced like bōké. Lovely picture. Thank you, I just joined.
Thank you! I did learn how to pronounce it a few weeks later! 🤪
Thank you
You’re welcome!
Super :-).
Thank you!
If you want to prevent your circle template from bleeding, use tiny bits of masking tape. It raises the template slightly and prevents the bleed…an old drafting trick we used…way back when.
Thank you!
Just found you. Great tutorial. Subscribed.
Thank you so much!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you!😁
Becky, I really enjoyed this tutorial. You do a nice job of explaining what you are doing and why. I was really excited to hear you mention Spokane Art Supply, as I have recently moved to Spokane. I would love to know if there are watercolor groups that get together and paint-for fun, not profit! I’ve taken some classes with Stan and learned a lot, but would like to network with people that aren’t quite as detailed and intense, because I took up watercolor to break away from the intensity of perfectionism and photo realism. Your work is lovely and more of the direction I’m going right now. At least trying to. :) Shannon Hicks
Oh dear!! I just looked you up and your work is beautiful, and your more refined work is what honestly makes my heart sing and want to paint. I will surely be taking a class from you in the future and so look forward to meeting you!!
Thank you so much for your kind words. If you would like to be on my mailing list to hear about future classes just go to beckygromlich.com and send me your email address. Im looking forward to meeting you too.
What brand of watercolour paint do you have ! They look gloriously translucent! Thanks for your patience in explaining your ‘moves’ so well!
I use MGraham paint for the most part. I do have a Becky Gromlich Teachers Choice palette available if you live in the United States. It includes a palette with 15 colors in it, and three brushes. It is a great price, curated by me but offered by Spokane Art Supply. If you live elsewhere there will be other professional quality paints available than this brand. I too just found your channel while looking for Bokeh effects. This is very fun and turned out so well. The Pebeo mask fluid is my favorite because I find it is easier to remove, though I’ve never tried the tape method, just the gum eraser. Is your photo available for sharing?
Sorry. I used a free photo reference from Paint My Photo but then I changed it pretty dramatically so I don’t really have a photo.
What is BLEED THROUGH WHITE??? Is it consider Mixed Media if you use it to make snow? I’m a beginner that was tod too ‘save my whites’…is this cheating, or just labeled as ‘mixed media’ ? I am a bit co fused! Thanks for sharing…I love your Bockeh demonstration !
Thanks Lynda. There is a certain charm to paintings where the paper is used for all of the whites , but there are times when the paper which is usually slightly off white, is not white enough. There are famous watercolor artists like Andrew Wyeth from the past and Stan Miller from the present who use white. These days your art can be totally your own and you can do what you want.
Thank you so much, Becky! This tutorial was wonderful and I loved every minute of it. I’m so glad I found you. I tried to find you on Instagram but couldn’t. Do you have an account on there?
Thank you Britt! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I do have an Instagram account called Becky Gromlich Watercolor.
@@thewatercolorclassroom-bec7040 Thank you! I’ll go follow you.
@@britthartart Thanks Britt! You have inspired me to catch up on my instagram!
