I love how while Gordon gets a machine gun arm, bubby gets a displacement cannon, and Coomer gets The Big One, all Tommy gets is a propeller cap. Not that he needed anything else, he was already at peak performance with his trigger finger and Sunkist the immortal dog
We also know that Tommy singlehandedly created the most powerful character in the HLVRAI universe, Sunkist, under Sunkist's protection, Tommy is affectively invincible.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Gordon being a character that Wayne plays in the RP. There’s like two layers of role playing in this series, the first being the cast playing as the science team, and the second being Wayne pretending that it’s all a part of crazy new mod. When considering the second layer of the role play, the Science Team thinks of the world around them as ‘real’ more or less. What we see are genuine reactions from the Science Team AI. Gordon acts like everything is ‘real’ as well, but that’s only due to Wayne acting ‘in character to make the AI work’. So out of all the cast, Gordon is the one who’s fake, despite Second Layer Wayne treating the rest of the cast as not real, because the ‘Gordon’ identity has no thoughts of his own. His intense emotional and physical struggles in the adventure weren’t real. Losing his hand, having a son, never watching a flic or a film in his life. My headcanon for this is that the mod also made an update to Second Layer Wayne’s VR headset, which zaps his brain into thinking that he is Gordon, and through that, the experiences he goes through as First Layer Gordon are real. I’m definitely thinking too much about it
i love benrey immediately saying "I WAS RIGHT" when gordon randomly says he doesnt know if hes even employed here with no thought actually put into it, he sounds so proud of his passport senses alerting him that gordon wasnt supposed to be in the test chamber
Every character has a logical reason as to why they’ve survived this long Gordon has the HEV suit Bubby is the perfect lifeform Coomer is Coomer Tommy is the son of gman Benrey is a space god
you know what is really funny??? He originally was going to say "this is too much" after they went down the lowering platform, before they even started fighting or shooting anything
Total riff on Half-Life's "well, this is as far as I go" NPCs. What do you mean this is as far as you go? Don't wanna go back home? Escape the monsters and the army?

Yo! Just thought of something. Bubby uses the portal gun for the first time and gets sent to the train at the end of the game. When he gets shot by the Gman, he goes back, which explains his traumatized expression!! Or I just need professional help because it's 1 AM and I'm theorizing about this fucking series!!
That explains why dr coomer thinks the mini gun hand is normal, he said that it was just as he remembered because he saw gordon with it at the beginning.
I feel it’s more like a destroyed version of reality where it’s still the present and Gordon tries to teleport back to the first area, and since this is all a game it loads improperly causing characters to not load, however Benrey is a F****** anomaly and coomer remains since he some of the so that’s supposed to be there, the ai messes up because Coomer already is supposed to know everything else that happened but is back in an area where he’s not supposed to know anything yet so that’s why he starts of saying his default lines before the ai becomes fully self aware and realizes that it’s already said all of this and can help Gordon good back to the final map This is just a theory that fits everything into the lore

I think the constant failures in this stream is Benry trying to stop Gordon from destroying him but by the end he just accepted the inevitable and just tried to cause Gordon as much grief as possible.
Why was the last message from Dr.Coomer so sad? I actually had the feeling I was about to tear up and I don't know why this was a comedy steam not a damn drama. goddamn you science team!
It's a bittersweet moment because we just spent many hours with these characters, getting to know them and caring about them, laughing with (and sometimes at) them on their journey, so when that journey came to an end it was like saying goodbye to good friends. Dr. Coomer's final message encapsulated those emotions perfectly, and his character's self-awareness gave him doubts of what would happen to his program after the game was off, which, in a way, is the same existential dilemma all of us face when we stop to consider our own mortality and what waits for us at the end of our lives. So, there was the bittersweet parting with friends, the knowledge of the audience that this was the end of an epic journey and an existential retrospection to cap it off, all of which hit on different melancholy emotions that makes us feel very sad inside, and is also an absolutely genius bit of writing.
It would've been even more hard-hitting and poetic if Coomer had been the first NPC Gordon met in part 1. A cheery "Hello, Gordon!" to start the adventure, and a bittersweet "Goodbye, Gordon." at the end of it all.
@@edwarddavedson True, but back then they didn't expect this series to blow up the way it did so they weren't even thinking that far ahead let alone had anything planned. I'm sure they would have done exactly that, though, if the had a plan.

I know that Wayne wanted to use the machine gun arm but my theory for the in-universe explanation is that the reason Gordon‘s hand became a gun is because it got to the point where he began to associate needing his right hand for using his gun or just general attacking above all other uses (like how one of the first comments he makes about losing his right arm is that he can barely shoot with his left hand or even swing with it, and later saying to tommy that his ability to write is the least of his worries at the moment).

@@bitchwholikesrobots Exactly!! There's so many possibilities for how that could go down. Does something in the code of the game fuck up and put him in Benrey's role? Does he get tired of being the hero and want to cause harm to the people who drove him to this? There's so many possibilities!

@@wayneradiotv I saw this, and my brain didn't register the fact that that was you. Like, I didn't see your name. Anyway, hello Wayne! I give my thanks to you and your friends for making this amazing series!

And then he died? And then the Skeleton appeared and talked about passports.
I don't know his real name, to be honest. Wayne subbed his name as Benrey, his passport says BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY, he claims his name is Stong. Both Forzen and Benrey has interests in Videogames. I really don't know.

I love the absurdist humor of the ending, everything, risking life and limb, alien chaos, just for a damn birthday party, and the ending song is awesome. And then they blow up everything, and gordon looks so pissed off in a defeated, tranquil fury/WTF face. Mike (Stagehand) misclicked spawning the Nihilant while he was spawning the crew of Scientists near the locker room. Fortunately, his reflex saved the whole stream by undoing it immediately. Of course, the Stream would've ended so bad if the Nihilanth was there (I think).
Each character has a reason f or why t they can survive being shot and blown up and stuff Gordon has the HEV suit Dr coomer is part robot Bubby is test tube baby so maybe he was genetically modified to be stronger (to be honest this one is a bit of a stretch) And Tommy is the son of the Gman

47:09 Why does no one talk about this? I love this interaction, especially Gordon's sinister ass answer.
The fucking way he goes “Me too…”. He sounds almost… happy about it. Honestly makes me wonder how a Gordon villain arc would go down.
@@bitchwholikesrobots Exactly!! There's so many possibilities for how that could go down. Does something in the code of the game fuck up and put him in Benrey's role? Does he get tired of being the hero and want to cause harm to the people who drove him to this? There's so many possibilities!
this is an extremely late reply, but I've rewatched the streams and just noticed when Coomer says "well it's a good thing none of us are aliens!" in the background Benrey runs away from the group-
3:04:32 the true story
i honestly thought the technical issues at the begging were gonna be part of some elaborate bit
nope it was just that messy
@@wayneradiotv honestly made me even more hyped for when it actually got going!
@@wayneradiotv whats up wayne
@@wayneradiotv I saw this, and my brain didn't register the fact that that was you. Like, I didn't see your name.
Anyway, hello Wayne! I give my thanks to you and your friends for making this amazing series!
I already watched the main video but you know damn well im gonna sit through this in one sitting anyway
I think i have a theory boys
My theory is that there is multiple Benrys, the first one is also the giant one we see at the end, and the Skeletons represent the Benrys that have died, remember in act 2 Benry said his name was Stong? And then he died? And then the Skeleton appeared and talked about passports.
I don't know his real name, to be honest.
Wayne subbed his name as Benrey, his passport says BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY BENRY, he claims his name is Stong.
Both Forzen and Benrey has interests in Videogames.
I really don't know.
@@stnorocwzo Forzen said he was the best friend of Benry when they were kids, is Forzen also a god?
@@bitterman7258 I don't know. But managing to trap Sunkist without having Sunkist rebelling sounds like a God's power to me.
In case anyone is curious, the song at 3:07:54 is Flesh Maze Tango from the OFF OST, which is a highly underrated game if you ask me (they also have some really good songs in their soundtrack!)
Sky LS woooooooo!!!
I’ve played off at least 5 times
@@forganforge If I was any good at games, I'd probably play it too lol
Glad to have found another OFF fan, though!
Thought that sounded familiar!
I was going to comment kudos to whoever picked that song, it was a great selection
I love how gir slipped and addressed Dr. Coomer the character as "she" at 12:48.
lol that happened a couple times actually, I remember wayne doing it in the last part too
coomer was drinking the Gender Fluid
They are so dedicated to supporting Holly they accidentally broke the 4th wall. I love it.
Is comer voiced by a woman?
@@Nagasakevideo Holly is a trans woman, yes.
Every time i watch another portion of the video, it resumes with a "Gordon we should get moving" and i love it
1:26:11 that part almost killed me-
Love how he dies and tries to play it off as best he can.
I love how genuine he says what the hell 1:54:44
its now canon that Black Mesa created Dr. Pepper
Vanila, Cola, Anise, Cinnamon, Cardamon, Carrot, Clove, Tomato...I forget the rest
@@KingThrillgore you already know too m
Powerade too! And Evil Powerade!
@@guinevereemilysummers9945 this isn't my theory but someone said that black mesa Powerade is Darnold's attempt to recreate the Gatorade they found in Xen which is honestly exactly what it tastes like in real life
Hi danny cheezits its me skig from okbr
2:26:08 Don't mind this, this is just a reminder to me where I left off.
edit: Thanks to everyone for reminding me to watch this video, thanks to you, I managed to watch up until 2:28:13
Unfortunately, I'm a little busy, so I'm gunna have to postpone finishing the stream again, sigh..
Some person decided to like it and then 35 other people decided to like it too
@@realcanadian67 Wow! I had completely forgotten that I was watching this video and would never have gone back to it if it were not for your comment. Thanks, pally.
@@Pokshire did you forget again
@@Sunny-yw8pt Yeah :(
Ya finish the video yet?
I love the absurdist humor of the ending, everything, risking life and limb, alien chaos, just for a damn birthday party, and the ending song is awesome. And then they blow up everything, and gordon looks so pissed off in a defeated, tranquil fury/WTF face. And the chuck e cheese argument, making me wonder if gordon will get the bad ending cuz he can't agree to something so insignificant (although, to be fair, chuck e cheese is SO a restaurant!!!!!)
But man i wish i could've been here during the live to read the chat during everything.
Whoever voice acted the gman in this is actually spot on.
Mike was behind g-man
Sometimes, I dream about che-HELP ME GORDON
i know that it might have been totally coincidental, but gordon warning the scientists about benrey and then that one dude saying that at 1:57:15 was fucking odd
The technical difficulties and the multiple takes at the beginning gave me Stanley Parable vibes
**LOL IM DYING I STARTED WHEEZING WHEN GORDON STARTED DRINKING THE POTION THING AND BENREY SCREAMS **BRAZZERS** LOLAKAJSIJSHUNENJEMEKEOSIWUH.
"hemophobic" is such an underrated joke
29:26 self esteem fund my fav calming music
genuinely sad that didnt get repurposed into the scene for the video
Wayne: “I’m just marveling over the world, and men.”
*Same.*
59:48 blue means "I hate you"... got it got it.
52:55 Wayne shoots holly like 70 times in the back
It's just gunshots, you can live with that
1:47:20 i love so much the idea of scientific developments based solely on if they would be funny
(1:47:08 for full context on the bit)
"Does the left hand turn into a chain gun?" - Freemans Mind Ep. 2
1:57:14 it sounds like the coomer clone's saying "The alien species can't possibly all be hostile.... Kappa"
1:38:32 and 1:42:27 are moments that could never make it to the final upload but GOD they kill me every time, bookmarking these for future me to cackle at
Why don't i remember these
2:22:56 I love how they are talking about killing babies and then immediately this sad trumpet/piano song plays
blooper reel: wayne stumbles into the mines placed in the explosive ordnance section and ruins everything
The persona 2 music with gordon just waking up and talking to everyone pushes some buttons for me
aa heck i almost cried with that ending
Same why did they have to make that so emotional?!
This makes me wonder if the Nihilanth was gonna have a role of some sort
It was accidentally spawned in in Act 1
Mike (Stagehand) misclicked spawning the Nihilant while he was spawning the crew of Scientists near the locker room. Fortunately, his reflex saved the whole stream by undoing it immediately. Of course, the Stream would've ended so bad if the Nihilanth was there (I think).
So what if the Nihilanth was taking a dump in the bathroom the entire time?
I’m pretty sure by the end of the stream everyone could smell toast
1:35:46
“My peanus weanus is tingle wingles” -Holly 2020
No matter how many times I watch this series, that line makes me lose my shit every time
Each character has a reason f or why t they can survive being shot and blown up and stuff
Gordon has the HEV suit
Dr coomer is part robot
Bubby is test tube baby so maybe he was genetically modified to be stronger (to be honest this one is a bit of a stretch)
And Tommy is the son of the Gman
and benry is (potentially) more powerful than gman
the delay on the minions exploding makes me pass away. holy shit 3:41:12
*When you miss most of the stream because Wayne never said to open your eyes* 😭😭😭
The Rise of the Triad music during the potion scene is just perfect.
ROTT music will always be rad.
I love the way G-Man says "Doctor Freeman" at 2:03:16, it just sounds nice!
i'm sad it was replaced with a fresher line in the official video honestly
the chuck e cheese argument killed me
The fact that after everything they've all just been through, when Gordon wants nothing but to go home and be done with the whole ordeal, he has the mental energy left to get heated over Chuck e cheese of all things cracks me up. With a mystery man who apparently has the power to wreck his life, no less
