Thanks for this! I watched this last night and used one of your ideas today. Now, I have a tip for you. You don't need to go buy bobby pins in the color of the scarf. Do what I did and paint the ones you have with a similar color of nail polish.Slide them onto a folded index card and paint away. I have tons of the $1 polishes and it's a sure thing that I can get close to whatever color my scarf is. It took about an hour for them to dry because they took three coats, but they blend in great. Again, thanks for the scarf ideas, I'd love to see more of them if you have any.
M42064 Yay...love that! :D Thanks for the tip, I'll have to give it a try!
Great idea
I just have to say it. You're 3 gallons of adorable in a 2 gallon bucket! I'm new to your channel and can't stop watching. Thanks for all the great tips and ideas. You rock!
Oh my gosh...I'm literally charmed! :D
JUST discovered your channel and have been binge watching! You are a doll! I'm loving every video you do - so helpful, down to earth, and your personality is so bubbly! 😀 Thank you for sharing the dimensions of your scarves. I just scored a fab find of a whole box of vintage scarves - woot! - but some have seemingly odd dimensions. After watching your video, now I know how to use them! Cheers!
I've always loved the 60's side knot scarf and used to wear one often back in the 80s- just because I could. Pretty soon after I hit my 20s, my hair decided it would grow out longer then the top of my shoulders and I had great fun playing with it. Wearing a scarf like that was just a quick and easy way to wear my hair down but keep it out of my face.
You were vintage even back in the 80s...love it! :D
I just bought about 10 vintage scarves at a antique store and had no clue how to wear them except around the neck. Now I know how to change it up and try different styles. Thanks.
Awesome tip on the first one, putting the bobby pins by the bow! Thanks
Perfect timing on this one - my grandma just gave me a great collection of her scarves from the 40s/50s. I'm so excited to work them into my look!
Ooooo...how wonderful! :D
I've been so into this neck scarf trend and anything vintage.. I wish I wore glasses! You look so cute. So happy I found your channel! Love your hair! :-)
That dress is life!
Love that your kitty made a guest appearance on this video. So cute! I tend to do the open Rosie and 60s headband the most. Love a good hair scarf!
She was extra sassy that day! :D
I've been a subscriber for a while and I don't remember seeing a tutorial as to how you did your bangs for this video, they look fantastic! Would love to know how you did them :)
I'm seriously distracted by that amazing peacock top!!! I love your channel!!!! Thanks for all the great tips
Jessica Reyna Brogan i think is Victory parade dresses for occasion . Rosa dress x
Kitty was being super sneaky! Love looks and might i say are looking great. Super sassy as always!
tee hee...she was indeed! She was not happy I wasn't allowing her to walk on the table.
i went back searching for your channel again specifically at the moment for your closed rosie the riveter bcuz i really wanted to fo it the other day & couldn't remember how to tuck the flap in for the LIFE of me hahaha, good thing you have nice flashy lil channel name & an unforgettably adorable face because that's how i found it again! i LOVE how you go as far as to even show us how to fold the bandana/scarf for each look, you make it so much easier, thanks for sharing your tricks and for being so sweer, pleasant and wonderful 😍😉😘 You have an INSTANT fan, subscriber & friend for life, so keep doin what you do, Doll! You're the best 💋💗💕
+CuppycakesCreations Aw...yay! :D Took me a while when I first started wearing them to figure out how to keep them from slowly sliding off my head so I want to be sure to save everyone else that pain. lol 💗💗💗
I've always had trouble with the Rosie look since I have a big head! Now I know I'm folding it wrong! 🤦♀️ Thanks!
You took a classic video idea and went above and beyond! This was so great and informative! I tend to fold my scarves quickly and without reason, but now I have no excuse for not having my scarf neatly folded. :)
Oh yay!!! Thanks! :D
Omg I am 64 and did not realize I should put bobby pins in to help hold the scarf in place, I always wondered why I couldn't get them to stay. Thanks so much .
your fringe is doing something amazing !
So many fun ways to wear scarves! Your instructions were excellent!! ♥
I'm sure there are more that I didn't think of...perhaps I'll have to come up with some more and do a part 2. :D
girl you are working those victory rolls! lovely tutorial. now I'm going to go find some scarves lol
I just love the tips and enthusiasm in your tutorials :)
I wore a red nylon scarf '60'd style' the other day and people were gawking at me- not in the subtle way either! One woman actually stopped and turned around to stare at me not once but twice lol! I wish I'd asked her what she was thinking!
Ok so your front section/bangs look ah-maze-ing but I can't find a tutorial for them! Does one exist?
missdaydreamillusion Thanks doll! :D Love with when people gawk! tee hee She was probably thinking how fabulous you looked. One does not...I will have to see if I can re-create them with the new haircut!
Absolutely loved this. And I needed to know about using bobby pins with them . your personality is energizing coming through I love it. I'm beige watching you.
Bobby pins are the secret to life!
Love love loved this video!!
Yay! :D
These are great! I've got so many scarves but never think to wear them in my hair. Gonna try!
One of the many reasons scarves are so awesome! ;)
Have you done a video of how you have your hair in this video? I love it!!
PS - love your cat! I had a cat just like that as a kid called Sammy! :)
I used this video to create my look for a presentation at the office...open rosie the riveter with poof in the back and bumper bangs :)
Serina Papillon Yay!!! Bumper bang is a great look with the scarf...I bet you were the best styled person in that meeting! ;)
Good stuff! I usually wear mine trip-folded and tied at the top with a bow! Also I love wearing my nylon around the neck :)
Kathleen Raye Right...it makes me feel like a pink lady when I wear my scarf around my neck! ;D
Great!!! I got so many awesome tips from this, I've been waiting for you to do a video like this! Yeahhhhhh! I love how you even showed how to fold the scarves before you begin! Love the flower tip for the classic over the hair scarf and tie in the front under the chin, with the flower it makes it looks less like an elderly grandma (the look I kept getting) LOL! Can't wait for the next one!
Yay! :D I have to admit young grandma is one of my favorite looks! tee hee!
Me too its just so classic :)
loved it! I Just bought 3 scarfs and cant wait to try some of this ways in my hair
I'm so happy that you show where to pin. I can't ever seem to keep scarves or elastic headbands in my hair. :)
I used to think I had an abnormally shaped head...then I realized that everyone has to pin it down properly! ;D
XD I have been pinning my headbands like you had shown and they stay put! I hardcore (heart) you! :P
Tanya Labar Awwww...yeah! :D

Sarah B Woot woo...welcome to the scarf addiction! :D
AHH! I just sent the goody box to you and I included some hair pieces. After watching this I'm SO excited for you to see what sent!!
BTW, that moment when you say "tie it twice" towards the end? ROWR!!! I saw that look ;3
Ahhhhh....I'm SOOOOO excited! :D Happy dance. Tee hee...I was feelin' sassy that day!
Do you know how beautiful and fun you really are! I also am so desperate to try the updo with a bandana but I just feel I look ridiculous! Maybe it only looks good if you have a vintage style fringe to match. But I loved this video! Thanks xx
Aw...you are so sweet! ~hugs~ I'm sure you look amazing with the bandanna in...I've seen girls wear it with a modern cut and it looks great as well! :D
I giggled every time you said, "bobby pins". :)
;) My master plan is working then!
I fold my bandana the same way! Btw I love how your kitty made a guest appearance! So cute!
She was trying to see if she could catch a glimpse of Jingles! ;D
They should have their own channel! They could do reviews on food, toys, and grooming products!
Amelia, obviously! lol...I would totally watch that channel! ;)
i have been watching your great videos for awhile but just now subscribed. you are adorable and I live your videos. I am 59 and love the vintage look. I remember my mother sporting many of the hair and dress styles. I would love to go vintage 40s and 50s but not sure it's appropriate at my age. what do you think?
"the undercover starlet" ... you are adorable!
Charlotte King ~blush~ Thanks doll! :D

Ridgley River-Jedd sweeeeet! You'll have a lot of fun wearing them now! :D
Awesome! I have a whole basket full of vintage scarves that I never really knew how to wear. I've used them as a foofed ponytail holder before (tying them around an elastic, so the ends hang down on both sides, then teasing the top of the ponytail to give it more volume, and curling the ends so it's cute), but didn't know how to do other styles. Now I do! Thanks. :)
Yay for a basket full of scarves and double yay for me showing you a few new ways to wear them! :D
Your hair is gorgeous and the color suits you so well! Stunning and great video as always xo

Andrea Chavez The dress is from Heart of Haute! :D It's a favorite!

From Heart of Haute it's the Beverly dress in the Peacock Royale print, they are out of the dress but they have a skirt in the print. :D
Whoops Monique not Beverly dress. :D

This was a great tutorial . I love head scarves . I always have at least two on me ... in pockets , or my purse ... My kids tease me about being like a magician , always pulling them out , one , two ...... ;)
Also where do you find the different colored bobby pins please ? That is so great . I hate how they always show on my scarves , so the different colors would be great .
The yellow scarf was really beautiful , and looks great with your hair color .
I also love your dress . It's so beautiful .

YES :) this is what I need, but for a baseball hat.. lol :) just a happy friendly request from one os us in the food industry who have to wear hair coverings/hair nets/ and hats, who want cute vintage hair that is food safe, can last a whole 8+ hour shift of hard work, and is the cherry on top of cuteness :D haha
Can you make tutorial on how to make victory rolls with Sallys beauty hair curlers
I'm not sure if I'm entirely clear on what you're looking for? What type of curlers?
curl easy pro brush
Olivia Fields I think it was my second video EVER!! :D I've linked it to the section where the rolling takes place since the video is a bit long. ruclips.net/video/qMdKyDMdeTs/видео.htmlm50s
Love the vid! Very cute!! xoxo
Yay!!! :D
oh love this!
Aw thanks...it's still one of my favorites. ❤️
I love to do the open Rosie the Riveter but I don't know how to do the back of my hair to flatter it...tutorial? :)
I either do a fake beehive which is here: Rockabilly Hairstyle Done Quick and Easy - A Vintage Hair Tutorial or I just kind of pile up my hair in a mass of curls like in this video: Rockabilly Bumper Bang Hair Tutorial {Great for Hiding Outgrowth} :D
Great video, and hello visiting kitty!
:D She has been popping up in a lot of videos lately!
Is the number 3 1950s one only for outside or can you wear it indoors places too?
You can absolutely wear it indoors as well!
Where did you get your glasses!? They are super cute! And what brand are they? (It's really hard to find glasses that are like the 50s where I live)
Surprisingly I got them at Sears Optical they are part of the Kardashian line! ;)
Thanks! Love your videos btw!!
Just went and bought a lime green hankercheif :D
oooo...I bet that's pretty!!! Perfect color for summer! :D
Where do you find your vintage scarves?
Love it
:D
I cannot find any good hair scarves. What is a good website or store to get some like you have on this video.
+Debbie B This comment got lost on me...but I still wanted to respond. I usually find my hair scarves in vintage stores...I like to be able to touch the material before I buy. I know Unique Vintage has some and you can find some on amazon. I hope that helps.
Where can I find the nylon scarfs? I have looked on ebay and etsy. Any suggestions?
I've gotten some from Unique Vintage and I'll have a tutorial on how to make your own soon! :D
I'm glad you used the pins. most don't seem to and I know I have to, giant head.
+Roxanne Duty We should start a big headed girl gang...I know there are more of us out there. ;)
Lol, sounds good! ☺
I love how your cat is paying attention :D
lol...she is a funny one! :D
:) Cats are awesome~
I adore you!
Where can I find scarves like that? Are they only found online?
Janna Michaels I find most of mine at vintage fairs, but I believe pinup girl clothing has some as does unique vintage but if you look up nylon scarves in amazon you can find a bunch. :D
I used to wear hijab since I was a teen, until recently, because it became too difficult with all this ISIS stuff happening - i don't want to be associated with evil and crazy ppl who have naught to do with my religion! However I wanted to let you know that you can get fancy hijab pins and hijab accessories - they are inexpensive most of the time-- and use them for vintage hairstyles, like a brooch but in your hair! Also the hijabs that kind of loop in your hair (like a cap) and have a scarf attached are great because you can half wear it and then use the dangling scarf the way Clara bow did, kind of wrapped in your hair but then coming down to shoulders! It's a good slightly inexpensive way to look vintagious! :)
Naved Ansari That makes me so sad that you had to stop wearing your hijab :( I hope you'll feel comfortable enough to wear one again in the near future. I'll definitely look into those pins!
I bet you can dress of the classic open Rosie the Riveter look instead you can use a piece of black faux velvet or stretch velvet and use that as the scarf and then when you are done you can accent the scarf with a really fabulous rhinestone broach.
You can indeed! :D
I am guessing it would be really elegant.
tutorial on that hair! Oh my god
It's on the to-do list! :D
Hello does anyone know where one can find these 22" . 22" inch scarves . I've been searching everywhere?
DontExistanymore Most bandanna scarves are 22x22. I've found quite a few of them while thrifting, most modern chiffon scarves come in 28x28 which you can find and unique vintage and other places as well. I'll be doing a crafting video next month which shows you how to make your own scarf! ;)
A Vintage Vanity oh okay great. That video should be so much fun can't wait.
The names of these looks are hilarious XD
They probably have "real" names but I decided to just name them how I felt about them! tee hee
Is Vintage Vanity even still have a channel? Can't find any recent vids 🤔
I do indeed. If you go to my channel and click the video tab you'll see all the videos since this one. I have blue hair now...maybe its working like a disguise! :D
