Wow, this is the best video I've seen in 2024 so far lol. Seeing your bookshelf got me really excited, as we have a lot of the same tastes! I thought I read a lot, but you run circles around me with the amount of books you read, many of which are still on my to-read list. Casually reading Russel's history of western philosophy lol, what a beast. You're the type of person I'm trying to be. This gives me inspiration, thank you for the amazing book shelf video.

Congratulations on 2,000 subscribers. I have so enjoyed your channel since discovering it last year - I look forward to watching your reading journey in 2024 as well!

Oh gosh.. I started House of Leaves 3 times and got so scared every time that I had to stop. It's crazy what this book can do. So eerie. I remember the visceral experience I had when they measured the house. That's when I had to stop. Good luck with it *sweat*!
Also I love that you have Gödel, Escher, Bach! Did you read it yet?
Also yey for Robert Musil. *Austrian pride activated*
Overall fantastic taste. Loved watching this! And congrats on 2k! 🙂

There is a Rodin Museum here in Philadelphia. His works were first exhibited here for the centennial in 1876. It is still located in Fairmount Park and the grounds are beautiful. The complete history of the museum is on the website.

Awesome tour! I’m a fellow Joyce lover, and I can confirm Multiple Joyce is excellent. Would love to see a video of your thoughts when you get to it.

Very nice collection! I love nonfiction but I'm always looking to widen my reading.
I love Penguin Classics 👍🏽I have a small collection so far and slowly expanding. Cheers!

Awesome shelves, man! I'm interested in getting to Sterne at some point soon as well. Jealous of that copy of Codex Seraphinianus -- someday I need to splurge and grab a copy to put next to my facsimile of the Voynich MS!

That looks like a cool edition of Anatomy of Melancholy. Have you read any of it? I’m tackling it now, I’m only 150 or so pages in. It’s truly great but man, is it dense lol. I typically only read a page or two of it at a time. So on that pace, I’ll finish it in in like 2026 lol

The Anatomy of Melancholy is my favorite book of all time. It is a "desert island" book for me.

Just a reminder to not let Bertrand Russell put you off of reading Hegel. He's just a hater because the PoS begins with a critique of math. PoS is a top philosophy experience.

@@readreadofficial I apologize for my rudeness. I shouldn’t have said that. I wish you the best with your channel and your guitar-playing.
