DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Top Sights, BEACHES & Waterfalls in PUNTA CANA & SAMANÁ

- The Dominican Republic has the best beaches, mountains, lush green jungle, waterfalls, salt lakes, vibrant culture and beautiful colonial towns. It's really worth it to escape from the luxurious hotels and explore the country. With our little family we first settle down on the beach in hotspot Punta Cana, but after that we are road tripping the entire country. From the East we head up North to Samaná. We stay at the best nature resorts, go on a whaling expedition and hike to the most awesome waterfall El Limón. On the country's best beach we are one with nature, at Playa Rincón. After this video you'll see more episodes where we drive along the North Coast to Puerto Plata and Monte Cristi, before we head on South to Salinas, Barahona and the supreme waters of Bahía de las Águilas. Of course we'll also visit the Dominican capital Santo Domingo on the way.
Our trip to the Dominican Republic is part of a great tour along all the Caribbean islands. We'll continue island hopping all the way down to Trinidad and Tobago. First you'll see us cruising around the Dominican Republic for another two weeks. Next up will be Puerto Rico, Saint Martin, Anguilla, Saint Barth, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago.

It’s actually one of our favorite countries in the world. We visited twice to travel around the country. In the next two parts, it get’s even better. The West and South are incredible too! And after that this series goed to all Caribbean islands from North to South 😄👍🏻

Last time I went to DR We stayed at Bahia Principe, really nice hotel, but the beach had a lot a sea weed, no the hotels fault of curse.

Yes you can, if you stay in Punta Cana. For us it was the only way by car 😁👍🏻 Because after this video we drive to Puerto Plata, Monte Cristi, Barahona and Bahia de las Águilas too!

My aunt was often in Dom Rep but unfortunately she and her boxfriend died in a motorcycle accident!
It’s does not mean sugar cane. It got his name after the fan-shaped Cana palm leaf that flourishes in the area.

All I keep hearing from others is not to travel off the resort because you can be pulled over by the police and they will scam you out of money for “fines” and the locals can crowd you with hustles trying to get money off you.
And I’m the one like “nooooo let’s go see the country!!!”
Traveled around twice, never had this anywhere. We had totally easy and safe travels.. I also don’t understand the warnings, but probably people do have trouble.. 😅
The hotels tell people that so they stay inside the resort spending money the whole time. Please go out and adventure. There’s so much to see in my country!

I hope they used insect repellent because yes, our country is a tropical paradise, but there are many insects, especially mosquitoes.
During the dry season we didn’t see many mosquitos luckily 🤙🏻 the entire trip from Dominican Republic to Tobago was in February to April. But yes of course we always take the right measures everywhere in the world. 😄 cheers from the family!
