I left NYC in 2011 after living there for twenty eight years. I did not go back since then and do not miss it at all because I spent there the best years of my life..
Now retired in Spain 2024. It was nice to watch this video. It brings back good memories.
Departed Greenwich Village when I turned 17 for the Military ....and never went back except for funerals.........Today is Saturday and we are fishing on a remote lake in the back woods of Texas !!!
I love nightlife walking ,drinking, relaxing nice to watched your nice vedio new friend
This is what makes NYC great. If you love crowds, endless people watching and interactions, you will have that to no end, anywhere you go.
Yes, being Irish inspired ordering "Lucky Charms" dish at Irish restaurants in Manhattan. I wonder what I will get. It is an adventure don't know if they get Manhattan road kill!
Until you don't and want to be alone in peace young person
Imagine people watching this 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 years from now...The content seems historically valuable.
they'll have the advantage of seeing every single nuance and detail from the past. this would be super trippy seeing it in 100yrs time.
Noone will be around in 25 years and later. You must be pretty tuned out of the world from recent events and from how fast climate change is accelerating. We're 90 seconds to midnight.
@@TheDoomWizard There are global catastrophes risks. Asteroids, climate change, solar weather, supervolcanos, and pandemics as natural GCRs. AI, nanotechnology, pandemics, greater power conflicts, nuclear weapons, and geoengineering as anthropocentric GCRs. If we consider history after industry, we encounter many mass die offs of humans. As such and also given the risks humanity faces, then and now, there have been leagues of people claiming that humans will all go extinct in the next N < 100 years, and they've all been incorrect. Yet humans are still around. And yes, humanity will certainty go extinct at some point, but the likelihood of this occurring in the next 25 years seems quite low. You'd have a stronger argument if you said that you believe >= 10% of humanity will perish in the next 25 years during a
@@TheDoomWizard maybe thats just your hope since you will probably be dead by then. The living standards might not be great but humans survived 2 ice ages with primitive technology. Theres plenty of climate tech still to be developed. To pretend "noone" will be around is just incredibly cynical and pessimistic considering the number of plagues/wars/natural disasters humans have survived. Im sure people had the same doomsday view even during the Cold Wars and WW1 and WW2 but we are still here. Even in the most dark of scenarios pockets of humanity will survive. Humans dominate the Earth not simply bc of their intelligence but bc of adaptability
43:33 I can feel the warm summer breeze...the smell of pizza mixed with the sweet smell of honey glazed peanuts
hey man don't do this. i've started my diet one day ago 😅
...and sweet smell of feces and urine.
@BABYLONISDESTRUCTION710 I honestly agree
I’m sure it smells like piss, shit and weed now!
Thanks for doing this. It's good for us that want to see it but hate being around so many people in real life.
Worth noting that this was the beginning of Pride weekend in NYC, which is why there are rails being set up for the parade on the 30th + why there are a lot of pride flags out. It's also worth noting that the video starts on the west side of Manhattan where it's extra gay friendly (the video starts out in Chelsea and goes through the West Village to start). Just to the east is the Village + Washington Square Park. Lots of great comedy and jazz in the neighborhood. For those who think it's way too crowded, there are a lot more quieter neighborhoods in the city but it wouldn't be as interesting to walk through and make a video about. I really love hanging downtown but love coming home to my quieter Brooklyn neighborhood.
The gays are getting way too comfortable. The worst side of NYC is the most pro gay place lol😂😂 we need to bring back shaming
You capture the essence of the city. Watching these videos really puts me in my happy place. You’re so very talented.
Wow, thank you! 😊 ur comment changed my mood 💚
There is something truly magical about NYC ❤
Chelsea area? Less touristy and more of a ‘neighborhood feel’ than Times Sq (which is further north) and it has a nice, laid back vibe.
im moving to NY this year. spent so much time in Los Angeles and ready to call NYC home now. these videos have me excited. nervous but excited.
Is LA really that spread out or are they exaggerating?
@@andrewusa14 who is they? its no different than new york. Santa monica, downtown, The valley, etc are no different than traveling from manhattan to brooklyn to queens, etc.
@@FromTheHipp what are you talking about, NYC and LA are polar opposites. one is the densest city in the USA and the other is suburban sprawl that rivals Houston. obviously there's going to be similarities in traveling distances but that's every city on the planet.
@@andrewusa14 look at NYC on google maps then LA, there's almost no similarities at all. LA is horrifically bad when it comes to urban sprawl
@@h4f3ou5h "obviously theres going to be similarities in traveling distances"
stop there. that was my whole point. your diatribe about density was not necessary as that was not ever mentioned by me. i was talking specifically about travel distances because i was asked about it. Ignoramuses are always so loud and so wrong.
New York becomes a different city at night
Good or bad? Live in Denmark wanna visit some day.
Nah. /
Great video...rememeber to stay safe when filming.
New York is the safest large city in America and not even in the top 500 most dangerous cities in the world.
My first apartment was on Charles St. just west of Greenwich Avenue. 1972. Thanks for the memories!
Fun fact, Manhattan lost its coolness factor in the late 90's as so many small businesses left the area and residential luxury towers were built for the wealthy. As late as the 90's they actually had regular pizzerias which charged the same as the outer boroughs. I remember a Chinese buffet that charged around 5 bucks for a decent amount of food near 23rd and Lex. Those days are long gone.
I used to have breakfast at that place when it was called the Riviera! When the village was cool and places to hang out...The West Village was always a great place to walk around...
This is a wonderful video! Is NYC (or this part of Manhattan) like this every night? Or every weekend night? Or is it only like this on special occasions?
Great video. Now I know New York isn't for me. Looks dirty and too crowded. I’ll give that city a miss
Так, так, так 😊смотрим ночную жизнь, этого прекрасного мегаполиса друг мой.....
This is awesome. Great video and nice walking tour.
Excellent, excellent, excellent evening stroll stream. Made me somewhat homesick. ^ _ ^
When you from New York, you'll always return😎
@38:36 You actually passed the unofficial Cosby Show residence. 10 St. Luke's Pl. Three doors down after the annoying couple on the stoop engaged in their phone
I've been out in Berlin, Bern, London, LA, New Orleans, Melbourne, NYC, Boston, Nashville, Seattle, Atlanta, Tokyo, Dubai, and Ibiza. So far, London and the US cities are my favorite with NYC and LA at the top.
Excelente video ... La calidad dél entorno social es espectacular , las pizzerías, con el disfruté dél verano en New York.... Elegante.... Felicitaciones encantado por su ardua labor.... Cordiales saludos desde Bogotá ( Colombia )..
Nice video... Keep it up bro
이게 바로 자유와 즐거움이다
I was impressed by the number of Japanese cars, mainly Toyota. I didn't think there were so many
Like a theme park ride.
Great video! Miss walking around NYC at night
You mean midtown and downtown Manhattan
Interesting...
Beautiful City, keept it up bro share morr areas
New York City is amazing and I fell in love with it when I visited. However, as beautiful as this looks, I cannot get over the shoeboxes that these people have to live in just to be in that city. While I love the hustling bustle of a city, my home is extremely important and I would hate to feel so “closed in” to a teeny space like some of the apartments I’ve seen on videos.
I live in new York yes it becomes very crazy sometimes in the weekends at night, I don’t understand when is the weekend and no work it doesn’t mean for you to go out and go crazy it mean for you to relax in the city on a Saturday night a nice walk in Central Park or a nice dinner or a movie theater or maybe visit family for a family bbq, not to go to a stupid club and act stupid smell like alcohol and laying on a street floor drunk smh no way some people are very stupid
Yeah you’re right
im waiting for ZeroEnigma to come screaming past and yell "BAM"
Ennyi buzit már régen láttam! Hajrá Brandon! 😂😂
watching this...I really miss dirty filthy funky '70's NYC-it was magical
this is thy i was blessed to grow up in jersey anytime ur bored it was and is always no more than a 30 min train ride away
I get to do one of my favorite things without the sore feet!
Thanks to Mike Bloomberg, you didn't see anyone smoking near restaurants. I saw one guy take a smoke and try to hide it.
nice vibes
What camera setup do you use?

Looks like a beautiful city. I really dont get the hate.
😂
It’s hayseeds who hate liberals and want blue cities to fail.
It may look like that in the video, but if you live there that’s a whole another story…..
I feel like the vibe probably changed a lot since the plandemic and all the problems in the last year or two..
great video,great city.
In the 2000s there used to be WAY more hot women
Where did they go?
Well now their all men soooo
It is still the 2000s...😉
They still are, do you agree with me?
this video may help some with social anxiety... just a thought
People look so calm and enjoyed life , in other side people and a lot of media sayd New York and americsn people are depressing and this place are full of homeless criminality ecc ,,where the homeless are ?? Where the depressing people are ?? ,, I'm from Europe I never was in USA but I don't see any homeless or depressing people in this video ,,, the media sayd bullshit
I think the one dude had on padded drawers
Lol
Grand and majestic new York 🎉
If you have social anxiety or agoraphobia, this will either cure you or make you worse.
NYC is an old city, which is why it looks "boring" to many people
Wait! isn't nightlife more than walking around staring at your phone like a zombie?!
Well if you really want to see some New Yorkers, now would you a great time to see it,you got the San Gennaro festival going
I hope the little balloon in the beginning made it across the street without getting hurt
Man.. All those 304s.
Hello I love New York , please show the street name
you gotta tell me what camera you used
Better have a lot of money if you live here
Nice to see Americans what they do best throughout the video... eating 😂
And walking aimlessly😂
NYC night life is tricky. Unless you have plans like a concert/show/ art event of some kind it will just feel like you could be doing that shit anywhere in the world.
Insane comment
People on here with miserable lives are nasty with their comments. Very nice video in one of the worlds most influential city
For getting mugged. They live in a fantasy bubble.
Most influential city? You have to explain that one.
@@lornes7526 NY is the global center of finance, commerce, culture, technology, entertainment, media, and the arts. It's also home to the United Nations. NY is also the birthplace of many genres of music. Disco, Punk, New Wave, Hip-Hop, Freestyle, Salsa, Doo Woop. I also said NY is one of the worlds most influential city and not the worlds most influential city as you said. NY is also the most recognized city in the world due to TV shows and movies. During the 20th Century NY was the most influential city in the world. Today NY shares the spotlight with other Alpha city's as worlds most influential city's

The people in the video....where do they live ? Are they all local New Yorkers ?
The city has changed so much. If this was 20 years ago, there would have been three times the number of people walking. Parts of the video of the city look desolate to be very honest. It sure has seen better times. It lacks the energy it once did. Sorry just the truth.
Cars just ruin everything. How can you sit on the sidewalk while 5 feet away are cars blaring by, sirens, exhaust....I don't get the appeal. Eating on the street within fenced in barricades and construction barriers. Wow, so awesome! Every place is packed to the brim and loud af. So cool! Ban cars in certain areas and you'll have a bazillion times better experience
Why does the thumbnail say "New Yoek"?🤔
Thank you for letting me know 💚
called a typo. how absolutely miserable are you?

Hahaha. I would have done a triple take.
LoL
@1:15 noice @1:52 you see some people observing lolololol
Thank you for this footage. Every single day I am sending gratitude towards the universe that:
1) I am not an american
2) I have never been to america and I never will
3) I am an Eastern European and we don't have these modern diseases such as LGBTQ, GMO foods, anxiety, depression, 90% fat people ( 40% of whom - obese ), polluted air, blood-sucking inhumane capitalistic attitude towards people where humanity and sympathy are largely unknown words.
Thank you, God, for making me be born where I am born and game me the life I have! Amen!
