its been years since Ive been to New York. I miss walking the quieter streets like these... so many people don't realize there is this kind of New York City to enjoy as well.
Thanks so much for posting this. My best friend lived on 25th and 8th. He passed away from cancer a month ago The fun and hysterical times we’d have in Greenwich and the East village. Miss him so much.
Wow so captivating. I’ve never been to NY but Greenwich Village, this place is legendary and I feel like I actually got to see it. Beautiful and very interesting! Thank you ❤😊
This is the West Village. The brownstones are amazing especially on West 12th street. There's MacDougal Alley, Patchin Place and Bedford street. Can't leave out Jane Street! All so beautiful.
Merci pour cette merveilleuse promenade. Les constructions sont belles, et les rues sont calmes ainsi que les gens. C est un lieu a visiter a New York.
I usually can't wait for the summer heat to go away but now that it's the fall chill I see people walking around in their breezy summer outfits so seemingly carefree on such a glorious day it makes me feel good. ☺☺
I am going to visit New York this month. I usually shoot walking videos in Kyoto, so I am nervous because it has been a long time since I have walked in a city with so many buildings.
Ohhhhhhh Yes ! Brings it all back home - 19 years of age English bass player - meeting Ron Carter / Richard Davis - sitting in Washington Sq. - when it was BLISS to be alive !!!🥰🥰🥰
New York was always my favourite part of the states and This has always been my favourite part of New York. And watching this back home in Britain I’ve only just realised that it’s because it resembles London so much in the old architecture , the tree lined roads and the more human scale of the place - the roads aren’t 8 lanes wide taking ten minutes to cross like in la 😂 Makes me miss NY all over again…
☝️😁,, THANK YOU ❤️.. being an old grumpy guy now, I enjoy watching slow walks through interesting neighborhoods.. good camera work, slow panning, clear details... 👍 NOTE: ADD CAPTIONS, LOCATIONS ETC
I'm really, impressed with all the lovely, attractive, neighbourhoods in this city. Not what I was envisioning at all. It's too bad the place seems to be beyond any average person's ability to live here, anymore. IE: How criminally expensive the place is, apparently. Both the city and State need to try to find some way to change this around, desperately.
Hello from New York City! I hope you and daughter can visit here ! If you check hotels for special deals, you can usually find some that are offering very good affordable rates! New York is best to visit in spring, summer or fall. Winter can be harsh and not enjoyable to be out since NY is lots of walking . I live in Brooklyn part of NY 🥀
At 35", isn't that the house on the left where BobDylan and Pete Seeger used to live in the 60s? I was there a year or so back. Really enjoyed it, more than I expected. Thank you New York!
It's interesting to see so many people who are single (meaning out and about by themselves). You really have to be perfectly ok with being alone and comfortable within yourself. I spotted people eating alone, walking the their dog and just living life. I personally don't like to travel alone or explore a day out by my lonesome. I'd much prefer company, but big ups to those who don't mind flying solo. Anyway, the sidewalks and living quarters are so close together. You literally step outside the door and your car is within arms length. NY is extremely populated and busy. There's, Harlem, Brooklyn, Scarsdale, Queens, etc. A far cry from life in TN where I reside. I love that there are so many eating places and shops. So many things to do.
Thanks for this tour! I've seen others & thought all of New York was an unpleasant, third-world looking city. I pray that this area stays safe from that madness.

There was a story on-line in 2018 about a woman who died in the Village. She was 84, I think, and had been living in an apartment there for 63 years. She first moved in in 1955 with three other young women. She wanted to be an actress and she needed a cheap place to live. The apartment was $15 dollars a month, and lacked amenities. They had to buy a tub and heat water on the stove. Roommates came and went over the years. I think she lived in the apartment alone at the time of her death. Her rent in 2018 was just over $28 a month.
