I want you to stop saying “My HIV”. Just say HIV. Don’t get attached to this Dis-ease. It’s not yours. It’s just something you are living with. I love you,😘 and the fact that you are sharing so much with us.
We hear people say "my condition" all the time, but conditions that have stigma attracted to them convince us that we have to shy away from associating ourselves with them. HIV is now a big part of his life and identity. Our discomfort with attaching that to people is the product of decades and decades of conditioning that we have to unlearn and un-stigmatize.
Bad Bitch I really didn’t mean any harm. I just don’t want him to make a connection and or covenant with a disease. It can be healed and reversed but if he’s claiming it as “his” it will be difficult for him to get there. I believe in healing and that with God and a proper alkaline diet it won’t be an issue. The law of attraction is real. And we can have what we say. I want him to think in terms of healing. That’s all I was saying.

So sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I can’t say I know what your going through because I don’t but I can say being HIV positive is no longer a death sentence. There’s meds out there that’ll keep you healthy and strong for years to come. Take care of yourself physically and MENTALLY. Be blessed!

I was raped and a virgin before then, unfortunately they gave me HIV. I weighed 165 before then and went down to 148. I thought it was my lack of appetite or the drugs that my rapist snuck in the food. I remember my body trembling and me dropping on the bed letting out a loud groan. I’m on pills and feel great now but sometimes get in my head and can’t sleep at night. At this point it’s only up from here. I refuse to bow down to this situation but it can be really tough. My first time wasn’t my choice and limited me for the rest of my life at 20 years old. When I first got sick I could barely walk and even threw up blood in addition to the flu like symptoms. I stayed in the hospital for a week and didn’t eat but was starving I had no appetite. All I could do was focus on the future and all the good I was to experience. I feel great physically taking my medication which can make me undetectable within 6-24 weeks. However, a lot of doctors say I will live a long life but the chances of me getting terminally Ill are really high now, I have moments where I’m afraid of the future now but know that that gives me more incentive to be present. The mental toll is a lot but there’s more to life than the bad, there’s so much good to create for yourself and goals to accomplish. I hate when ppl tell me to be careful when I didn’t have a choice, I was just dealt these cards. I’m trying not to cry rn to stay strong but the loneliness and self disgust I feel sometimes can be a harsh reality. Either way life is great and can’t wait to accomplish my goals!❤

A lot of it is the immune system is compromised- just like when they say with covid, talking ab ppl who are at risk, also the endocrine system, the nervous system and particularly respiratory

My dad died of AIDS over 20 years ago. It's so heartbreaking that ppl are not taking this disease seriously. Please, please, please protect yourself every single time you have sex. It makes me angry and sad to know ppl are being so wreckless with their lives. Please honor all the ppl that died of HIV/AIDS by protecting yourself!!!

You are so so so right about getting test more often. I decided I wanted to get tested every other month whether I was sexually active or had a bf or whatever just to be sure I'm safe and keeping others safe. After my ex and I broke up I wanted to start a new relationship so I went to the doctor on campus to get tested she asked me if I was worried about anything and I told her no. She side eyed me and asked me why was I there. I told her I had a bf and we used condoms every single time since the last time I was tested and I just wanted to get tested more regularly just to be safe. But she and the nurses shamed me for that and thought I was lying. But really I just wanted to be safe. That was kinda the end of my regularly testing journey. They made me feel so bad and lectured me about safe sex. But that's what I was trying to do. They should make a way to make getting tested less judgmental. Any ways I came back clear but I shouldn't of had to go through that

I went w/ her to Planned Parenthood 3 months later, and the nurse was so damn rude. She basically called my frd promiscuous and said that's the only reason she'd need to be retested so soon. I am HIV Positive too. Be prepared for the liver, even though we are on tx, these meds cause a lot of liver problems. I tested positive for the Anti Muscle Smooth Antigen and I just had a liver biopsy. So liver and kidneys are a major concern today with HIV Treatment.

Since people living with HIV have to take daily meds to keep their viral load undetectable, daily meds take a toll on the liver and kidney’s as time goes on. The meds help their HIV for sure but liver and kidney damage are a big side effect.
@@theqman4136 Dialysis is horrible and Cirrhosis of liver is no better...This is why I just will stay alone if I'm not sure. It's sad because I know I would make a great partner but that isn't worth it in the long run.

Tyrese Blue it’s quite a rare disease now but now they can pick it up at HIV before it becomes Aids and there is no cure as such but there’s treatment that kills it right down so it is not as strong I mean that can cure it but you would only just of contracted HIV, but that’s why learn your partner and get tested every few months especially if your bisexual. While I know, understand and agree with where the premise for this comment comes from I MUST say that this type of thinking is part of the barrier to care that I/we see in this Field. You MUST own HIV to ever become adherent and live successfully with it. For the first year and 4 months I had HIV I prayed, believed God to heal me and barely took my meds. I ended up in the Hospital with Cryptococcal Meningitis that almost killed me. Hello I have symptoms like 1. Sore throat for more than 1 year 2. Right side swollen lymph node in my neck for more than 1 year 3. Acne on my back 4. And Tiredness I tested 5 times. 1 lab test and 2 quick test 2 years after exposure again 1 lab test and 2 quick test 3 years after exposure!! But still symptoms I'm stressed please reply how many times you tested? and is Hiv test accurate? etc... Please 🙏🏾

I think you should realise how lucky you are. My diagnosis after early treatment in 97 left me with chronic lipid dystrophy which stripped all the fat and muscles from my body which is something I've had to live with for the past 20 years , and you are complaining about a rash
