I was in a private high school and wore very little makeup. I used to wear the Maybelline Shine Free Pressed powder, their clear Great Lash mascara and the Almay concealer that had Salicylic Acid in it, before I switched to the Neutrogena one. I also used to wear Watermelon flavored lip balm.
I think it would be really fun if you did a video on your high school make up look! I also really love celebrity or character inspired looks/videos. Also, I have used that foundation before. 😁 It always looks really good at first, but it gets very cakey later.
i think you can do something like a glam look.But you must know what style you are prefer,because you can do what you want.I would use a kind of gold or rose eyeshadow,but everyone like something different

I've been out if high school a LONG time, but I still use a few things that I used religiously in high school. Cover Girl Clean Foundation is all I wore then and I still like how it makes my skin look. I also used the CG Clean powder (brown compact) and I still use it for touch-ups, and CG French Vanilla eyeshadow single, loved it, and I still use it to highlight my browbone. And I used Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, that iconic pink and green tube that every girl had lol ill buy it sometimes to use on my lower lash line. My mom sold Avon so pretty much everything else I used then was from them, and I don't use any if it now, not as easily accessible. I loved this video idea, it's fun to take a walk down memory lane sometimes. ;)

Love how this turned out! For me, the Wet N Wild Comfort Zone eyeshadow palette was my go-to in high school and I still own it for sentimental value haha. A couple ideas I had was doing a 20s or 40s inspired look or every now and then doing some looks inspired by a movie you've been loving (like the Greatest Showman)! 💕
I used to LOVE the lash stiletto in the red tube with the “S” shaped wand. When they first discontinued it I would buy it on amazon, but I can’t get it anymore. Still miss that mascara!
I started with Covergirl Clean Makeup at 16 and as I've gotten older, switched to the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless. It's an awesome make-up for 40+ age group. Very moisturizing especially for those of us post menopause, who need more moisturizer. My T-zone still gets oily but the make-up doesn't make it worse.
I like the way your makeup looks! The eyes really looks great with the complexion to me. What I wondered through the video was when were the makeup products popular? I know you said HS but time frame? I graduated in 2008 and wore bronzer since I started HS.... but also had a bff that was a makeup genius. I'm a senior in high school right now. Every day I do my brows with NYX brow powder. When I have time, I use my Maybelline nudes or graffiti palette, or the NYX birthday palette for eyeshadow. Typically I wear some type of NYX lip product. I have done winged eyeliner since last semester.

Last year I bought a Bonne Bell Lip Lites gloss and a Lip Smackers gloss that I used to use in middle school for the nostalgia, although I wear more lipstick now. I also remember really loving the Healthy Skin foundation in high school! I applied it with one of those disposable white triangle sponges.

When I was in high school there was no highlighting or contouring and most bronzes were liquid. We used those little brushes that came in the pallets or Q-tips...Lol. I love how far makeup has come.

I used the Loreal True Match Lois Powder foundation and loose powder blush. I also used a Maybelline mascara. I didn't have a go to for eyeshadow. Just whatever was inexpensive and caught my eye. I definitely used only drugstore because I purchased all my own makeup.
Lash stiletto was my jam too! But I was already out of HS when it came out. Lol.... HS was Covergirl everything except for mascara Maybelline in the pink tube with the green lid...

I went to highschool in 1993 and yeah brows ,bronzer,contour,highlighter,matte liquid lipsticks and primer were not actual things we knew anything about lol makeup brushes were minimal...makeup is a beast now
Oh my goodness I'm so old that very few of my high school favorites are still available! My foundation was from Max Factor, gone, my eyeliner and mascara were from Maybelline and I know the mascara isn't available any more. The eyeliner might be because my i saw my sister in law was still using it! It was black liner in a red pencil and you had to use a lighter to soften it up, but it would stay in the waterline all day and not budge! My favorite eyeshadow was from the department store called Ultima II, gone. I think I used Cover Girl blush and powder. I wasn't big on lips so I used a tinted balm. When I got a little older I used Avon lipsticks which are actually very nice! This was fun to watch, great idea for a video!
On another note, I used to get so frustrated doing makeup using the stupid sponge applicators and the tiny blush brush that came with the blush. By the time you hit pan on the blush the brush would be matted and flared out, completely unrecognizable. They didn't sell beauty tools to consumers that I know of... maybe in department stores but they certainly weren't readily available like they are now.
Robbie Gleason you can order the max factor stick foundation on Amazon! Someone done a review on it and they actually loved it lol it was my favorite! If you like full coverage cake face max factors was definitely for you lol I would like to order and try it out again. If I can find the review I will let you know who it was .
Ava Vicente I found what I used to use on ebay! It was called Whipped Creme foundation and is $69.99! Hahaha! I see the Pan Sticks, too, much more reasonable!

I loved it so much! 💚 Then I always paired it with the maybelline define-a-line eyeliner & the Dr. Pepper flavored lip smacker bc I thought the red tint of it was the perfect "your lips but better" shade on me! Big fan of your channel and I had a question even tho this video isnt new but u used the powder I just bought cuz u recommended it (Maybelline loose fit me powder in light) just to set my under eye concealer ... my question is do you a recommendation for a loose setting powder that is NOT matte but also does NOT have glitter in it but has a luminous finish ? My skin is dry and matte formulas just flat out dont work for my skin... I'm almost done with my Becca loose setting powder in luminous but looking to try a new one if you have any recommendations!!!

I definitely remember using covergirls shimmering sands trio for my eye shadow and I used maybellines soft and full mascara(still one of my favorites). I'm pretty sure I used a clinque super balanced foundation because my mom was bad about buying the wrong shade and just giving it to me 😂. Not to mention I would always use the blush and what ever lip product came with the Clinique or lancome free gift when she bought one of her gazillion products at the mall.
I didn't wear much makeup in highschool. What I can recall was either Maybelline Great Lash or Covergirl lash blast. I had this lip gloss from Covergirl that also whitened your teeth. As far as skincare back then had a brief time using Proactiv lol

My foundation was from Max Factor, gone, my eyeliner and mascara were from Maybelline and I know the mascara isn't available any more. The eyeliner might be because my i saw my sister in law was still using it! It was black liner in a red pencil and you had to use a lighter to soften it up, but it would stay in the waterline all day and not budge! My favorite eyeshadow was from the department store called Ultima II, gone. I think I used Cover Girl blush and powder. I wasn't big on lips so I used a tinted balm. When I got a little older I used Avon lipsticks which are actually very nice! This was fun to watch, great idea for a video!
On another note, I used to get so frustrated doing makeup using the stupid sponge applicators and the tiny blush brush that came with the blush. By the time you hit pan on the blush the brush would be matted and flared out, completely unrecognizable. They didn't sell beauty tools to consumers that I know of... maybe in department stores but they certainly weren't readily available like they are now.
Robbie Gleason you can order the max factor stick foundation on Amazon! Someone done a review on it and they actually loved it lol it was my favorite! If you like full coverage cake face max factors was definitely for you lol I would like to order and try it out again. If I can find the review I will let you know who it was .
Ava Vicente I found what I used to use on ebay! It was called Whipped Creme foundation and is $69.99! Hahaha! I see the Pan Sticks, too, much more reasonable!
Omg what a blast from the past! Lol I used to use the maybelline define-a-lash mascara in the green tube! I loved it so much! 💚 Then I always paired it with the maybelline define-a-line eyeliner & the Dr. Pepper flavored lip smacker bc I thought the red tint of it was the perfect "your lips but better" shade on me! Hahahaha Such a trip!
Hi allie !! Big fan of your channel and I had a question even tho this video isnt new but u used the powder I just bought cuz u recommended it (Maybelline loose fit me powder in light) just to set my under eye concealer ... my question is do you a recommendation for a loose setting powder that is NOT matte but also does NOT have glitter in it but has a luminous finish ? My skin is dry and matte formulas just flat out dont work for my skin... I'm almost done with my Becca loose setting powder in luminous but looking to try a new one if you have any recommendations!!!

I didn't wear makeup in high school except for like a dance. I didnt get into makeup until my 30s and now I might have a "problem". Anyway I had been searching for that lumi bronzer since you introduced it, and after 3 walmarts and 2 targets found it. And I'm obsessed too.

I instantly got the SMELL of the Cover Girl liquid makeup and powder I used to use in high school (uhmmmm, that was 40 YEARS ago!) and I can say that the smell of that does NOT go well with coffee at 4 AM. Ha Ha Ha! Thanks Allie, for the trip down memory lane. Your makeup today was rockin'! :-)

I definitely remember using covergirls shimmering sands trio for my eye shadow and I used maybellines soft and full mascara(still one of my favorites). I'm pretty sure I used a clinque super balanced foundation because my mom was bad about buying the wrong shade and just giving it to me 😂. Not to mention I would always use the blush and what ever lip product came with the Clinique or lancome free gift when she bought one of her gazillion products at the mall.

I didn't wear much makeup in highschool. What I can recall was either Maybelline Great Lash or Covergirl lash blast. I had this lip gloss from Covergirl that also whitened your teeth. As far as skincare back then had a brief time using Proactiv lol

I’m still in high school but my makeup has changed drastically. I used to just pile on eyeliner with nothing else but foundation but now I have eyeshadows and lipsticks to actually finish my looks
I would love to see a "how I used to do my makeup" video. If you did it in the style Jenna Marbles where she kinda took us through her journey with makeup from beginning to end, that would be hilarious. That video is still one of my favourites she's ever done and i like it better than just the "How I did my makeup in highschool"
