- Bo Diddley sits in with the band, later performs "Bo Diddley Put the Rock in Rock 'n' Roll," and then chats briefly with Dave. All preceded by a Cold Open with Bo, Jane Pauley, and Dave planning their trip to Disneyworld.
I met Bo Diddley at Gruene Hall. He was a very gracious man.
And super nice?
And Bo Diddley was the man.
is the man,,,still
Bo Didley is well alive...are you watching THIS video? Do you HEAR WHAT I'M HEARING?? If you AIN'T moving to the beat YOU'RE the one who's dead... With ALL due respect...✌️😎🤙🎸🎷🎹🎙️
This slaps hard. Bo was a genius. And Yo, let's show some love for Will Lee on bass.
The dancing is insane!!
Love this guy what a talent
Bo was touring with Ronny Wood this year.
They came to Raleigh, NC a few months later to the Long Branch Saloon.
At 20 years, this was the best and most interesting performance I still have ever seen.
I got to play with Bo a couple times. It's kinda like this. He doesn't like to rehearse, nor "repeat" himself.
You just follow him and let it rip. He's such a pro it always works. RIP
What you play? What tunes did you guys do
@@robertfeldman2417 Most of it was ad-libbed / "jammed" on the spot. Bo would start playing something and we would jump in and support it. We maybe might have played a speeded-up / "high energy" version of "Who Do You Love," but most of it was made up on the spot. Bo was great, and we just supplied high-energy support. Bo was a pro. We didn't rehearse one thing or song at the sound check.
Thanks man. Legend of a legend@@davequ
I've rehearsed with Bo lots of times. He loved rehearsing. He just didn't want to rehearse with you and was too polite to tell you he didn't want to play with you.
Glad to have seen him live several years before he died. Amazing show . A real fun entertainer and original sound. The best of the best!!
Bo was the real king !
no, Elvis was but Bo is "the boss" ?
This is priceless!
"i'd never met the Diddleys" what a line.
She didn't know Diddley
How much money are you going to pay for this line? Hollywood needs better writers. Both Black, white, Chicano, Indigenous, Eastern European, German American, Canadian American, it doesn't matter! It's all Taboo Now! Everything is about Victim ideology and identity politics and nothing is about expression of free speech. Writers are too afraid they will get sued by the people they work for or get a knife in the back for being honest and speaking out against powerful players who could ruin their lives. American culture is on a downward spiral because no one will take any risks and expose themselves to social media outrage and ridicule. Welcome to the Ice Age! Who wants to visit Hollywood when you have to bring your own piss can to piss in since they won't allow tourists to use the Starbucks!
Fine folks. Love their friend chicken.
🤣i thought so too

Wow, seeing him talk to a Bo is awesome. Reminds me of when dave letterman was almost cool. I can remember those days, but now i'm old.
So much is changed now.
So is Dave.

This definitely was a highlight in Paul's career.

Bo up there storytellin
Run DMC's forgotten guitar player ;) Hey Bo Diddley!!!
He was very genius and very intelligent with music on his own! It's very unpleasant that most musicians todays emulate music they never create their own and it's all thanks to social medias especially TT!
I remember when Bo was asked about R&B music. He said it’s Ripoff and Bullshit. I’m a Rock and Roller!!!
The King of Rock and Roll
Can U Feel The Funk!?
Keep in mind bo be in his 60'$ here...
Rock On!.
the first late nite band was the best in my opinion.
Bo knows…..
Wow
Just lays it down
Try to follow that if you dare !
That’s one badass mofo 🙏
Funny watching Hirams replacement - sorely missed
He makes me think of, “Bo you don’t know diddly.”
Outstanding!
Does anybody know who's playing drums?
Steve Jordan, the original drummer on the show. He left in the Spring of '86.
Don Giller Thanks Don. That certainly explains that! I thought Anton Fig was there a long time but didn’t realize Steve Jordan preceded him. Very nice. I appreciate the quick feedback!
he is good
He's also taking over for Charlie Watts right now in 2021for the rolling stones tour since Charlie is out with hip surgery recovery.. If you watch the Chuck Berry tribute concert dovumentary Hail Hail rock and roll put together by Keith Richards, he is also the drummer for that show too.
@@dongiller❤
This is sort of funky
2024 🤘🏼✨🇳🇦
Way better than the Red Hot Chili Peppers....
Jane Pauley was such a partner in crime.
Few people know this but Bo Diddley stole the whole sound from a ten year old Paul Shaffer.
Shaffer; Paul Shaffer. It helps the joke when Paul’s last name is spelled correctly.
@@dongiller Got it. Spell check messed it up. Thank you.
