This song should have been the title track of flower bookmark 2 album but was removed and was never officially released. It was only announced a week or few days from the album release due to the controversy surrounding the death of the original singer’s daughter that was going on that same week. So out of respect, they had to delay the physical release of the album because they had to reproduce a version without the song and took the financial loss that came with it. IU had already filmed a music video that was actually connected with the music video of Through the Night, she only released the video the following year on her youtube channel to commemorate the birthday of Kim Kwang Seok.

This song is related to Through The Night. The MV was released in IU's Official account (but someone made a subtitle for it). Was suppose to be released before but she did not do it because the original singer daughter just pass, so she didn't release it to give respect.

This song should be the title track of Flower Bookmark 2 , IU loves Kim Kwang Seok songs, she covered his songs many times before. Before the Flower Bookmark 2 release date, Kim Kwang Seok's daughter died news come out, her death suspected as murderer case, her mother become suspect of her death cause she hide her daughter death for 10 years (Kim Kwang Seok passed away in 1996 and her daughter actually died in 2007) and the prosecution started the re-investigation her death after that. IU concerned about the news, and take decision that she not including the song in her album even that time she already to release it, the physical album are ready to release that time, she cancel it and re-produce her physical album again (made her lost her money a lot) and delayed release date of her physical album. She said that she cries alot not because she lost her money but she is sad cause she made her fans wait more longer and make them dissapointed. She cried and apologized to her fans in her fanmeeting when release her Flower Bookmark 2. IU also apologized for the delay of her physical album to accommodate this change. “It’s a song I cherished a lot so it’s even more regretful. I want to officially release this song in better times, when everyone can enjoy it with a happy heart.”
She made me respect her more after that. She is a good and wise person.
