    This is rustys wife Sherri. Rusty is having such a bad day today and well, these days that just happens. I read this comment to him and he teared up. This man never tears up. He is trying so hard right now and if only one person appreciates that ot makes it so worth while. I can't thank you enough for the kind words and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. So happy your done but keep updating it and make those changes as needed cause its a little sad when the build is done. Enjoy your journey. Blessings

      Sherri, I’ve had several friends and family deal with what Rusty is going thru, so is close to my heart. I do pray for a full recovery because I’ve seen it happen.
      And then how can one Rusty not support another Rusty. And Rusty’s caregiver.
      It’s hard on everyone I know.
      Blessings to you two as well and keep us updated.

    This is beautiful. The bathroom is the nicest I have ever seen! Bill would be jealous!!! I'm a subscriber to Bill and Deb's channel. I like your get er' done attitude. I made a no build travel boogie bus out of my mini van for short trips. I take stuff from my house to make it homey. I invested $300. in 3 USB fans, a cook stove, portable dvd player, large fluffy rug and a compact sleeping bag. I use a wood crate I made to cook on. Perfect fort. Necessity is the mother of invention! No hotels for me.

    I just get heartburn with everyone mounting electrical to wood. Your house breaker box is metal for a reason. A short won't burn it.

    • @mvrussisonline
      @mvrussisonline  8 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure what "electrical to wood" you are referring to in my installation? Can you expand? Thanks.

    • @TheMILVET
      @TheMILVET 8 месяцев назад +1

      @mvrussisonline Sure. I see most cargo builders mounting inverters, batteries, switches, etc. to plywood. If any of these short or overheat, wood being flammable could create quite an issue. These should be mounted in or on metal, not wood, IMO.

    • @mvrussisonline
      @mvrussisonline  8 месяцев назад

      Are you building a cargo trailer conversion? I'd be interested to see how you are mitigating this concern?
      All I can think of based on your concerns would be to laminate a sheet of metal between the components and the plywood mounting board.
      All of the components I mounted to plywood are designed to be mounted so with manufacturer's engineered standoffs from the mounting surface to deal with cooling/air circulation. Even the switches which are housed in plastic are still mounted with stand off spacers from the wall. And an my case and most other cargo trailer builders all of the components which include the wires between them are heavily fused, so that (fuse) should blow before anything got to the point of a fire.
      But of course anything is possible.
      I would compare mounting the inverter or MPPT Charge Controller to my plywood wall the same as mounting a house sub panel to a plywood mounting surface or a metal junction box to a stud in a house/garage.

    • @TheMILVET
      @TheMILVET 8 месяцев назад +1

      @mvrussisonline yes, I am building. Just got the trailer, 16L 7W 8' tall v nose with barn doors not a ramp.
      I will be mitigating by mounting everything in the electical compartment in a metal box, similar to a normal breaker box in your home but much larger. The shut off switches mounted externally. A computer fan will cool with a duct venting externally.
