You guys gotta remember that this is after they do a week of exhausting training and exercise. So their bodies are already tired, muscles are already pulled and more. They haven't eaten any solid food either. So they are dizzy and nauseous, and freezing water isn't helping.
Looks more like some adults can't swim...degenerate parents?
Exactly Pele - they're already in a weakened state from the prior tasks.
Thats why you need to send men to do hard tasks
They can't swim lol
@@jacobsaunders1092 no shit
I have a family friend who was a candidate for the Navy SEALS. A dude who at the time was 6’4” tall. 185 pounds with a 32” waist. Great shape. He could handle everything but the freezing water. He would have made it but for the water, just could not handle the cold.
Lol if he can’t handle the cold water then he’s no good as a seal love
@@MugStep7 XD
I’m the same, I have raynauds syndrome. A condition where I get cold more faster than the average person in minus temperatures, also leads to catching frostbite faster. It was painful to be rejected but No complaints, it is what it is, remember there’s always someone worse off than you
@@Oakland510 Exactly... sad but true. As a young kid i've always listened to my dad telling me stories about his army days (he was a gunner in M48 tank), like how their auxiliary engine burned down in winter while he was asleep inside the warm tank, how he was able to sleep while standing or even walking, how they sneaked up to him at night with a very quiet scout vehicle, how they shot off the barrel of a tank target from long distance, and so on. He told me, it would be a great learning experience and you would become a grown man there. In short, he made me want to join.
Been training my ass off, getting up early, going for a run while my friends were sleeping over, drinking and having fun. I basically never had any other interests (job wise, not hobby wise) because in my mind i was always gonna join and not going to leave early.
Imagine how bad i felt, when it turned out that they wouldn't let me join due to bad eyesight and a 90% deaf ear.
Probably would of had a better chance in Ranger School or Army Special Forces a lot less swimming in those.
Reminding someone to remember to stop calling him mate is pretty sound advice, lol
These series blow the celebrity ones out the water - way more interesting to watch than some tv presenter
Celebs should try & see if they can last 7-10 days
All those years playing Siege has prepared me for this

If anyone truly thinks this is what selection is like, you're wrong on so many counts. I never went for it, i knew i would never measure up, but i know a few who did and this is nothing like what they went through.
is it harder than this? I saw a video where they would leave you alone in the wilderness and leave you to survive and get to the base and cant let them catch you, can't remember if it was SAS or Spetsnaz
@@Pathfinding-earth a lot of stuff you are seeing here is the basic toughing phase. Selections also want to test you on your mental skills and toughness, and the basic military skills you possess.
@@Pathfinding-earth all special forces have that training
A lot of the physical aspect of SAS selection, you aren’t told what is considered acceptable. So you have to give your best every time
@@Pathfinding-earth part of sbs training by a paid up member was described thus. Half a dozen guys helicoptered onto a deserted Scottish Island in winter.and left there for 7 days with a large roll of rough hessian fabric. No equipment whatsoever and stark bollock naked. Now that is hard core.
'First into action' by Duncan falconer.
I wouldnt last a day doing this. Looks so tough
That’s the whole point
🤣
ene mn yuch bishee
I see a lot of these videos from that show "Who dares wins" and the other "SAS: Are you're tough enough" etc and.. I understand that the SAS selection and what they actually do is classified.
With these videos we can get a little taste of what this is all about but OMG I can't imagine 100% how HELLish is the selection process for real.. but at the same time how honorable it is for someone to wear the "who dares wins" beret after all selection and as many SAS ppl say, the training never stops. so true.
There is a reason why SAS are the best, maybe the only comparison from other countries are Russian Delta, USA's Seal #6 (aka DEVGRU) or Israel's "unit".
OK the techonology available to the Americans is way advaned compared to any SFs of any country, I just think SAS are more .. let's say "pure". and of course the "pioneers" of black ops.
for an SAS guy this psysical tasks / test are just a walk in the park.
Love this great drill to get use too. Cold water drowns lots of good swimmers.
Super. Army. Soldiers.
Shit. At. Swimming
Am I right in thinking a comedian came up with that title?
Saturday's and Sunday's
“Put over your right shoulder “….no mate, your other right shoulder
Thought this program was hardcore. How is someone jumping in cold water a shocking moment 😂
freezing cold water is a shock to the system, that is how. try it sometime just make sure you have a friend or two to pull you out in case you panic.
@@viperdemonz-jenkins I do ice bath on regular basis. Get your story straight 🤣
@@borarider669 what in the hell are you on about? nothing I said was directed at you, and my story was not two sided.
This show is like the werewolf version of Twilight, a bunch of military lads who became salesmen.
To go straight in and do special forces training without even going through basic training is setting the contestants up for a fall!
This is not real life sf selection.
They know what they're getting into.
Basic training is sure a nice thing to have in terms of experience. In the end is how badly you’re gonna want it and how well prepared you made yourseld.
It's clearly toned down a bit so it's somewhat achievable for an untrained person.

If you think that the average Joe could pull it off without any form of training or conditioning, you're living in dream world, lol
pretty weak for a gas hut. when I did basic, we had to go in, take off our masks, and do jumping jacks while reciting our service number for 60 seconds, go outside, and then do it again if anyone fucked up or stopped
The Team player liked to say "I" a lot 😆
'Shook to the core!?! I think you'll find it's shaken. This Channel 4's official account! You need to shake up your thumbnail staff.
Credit to her for sort of trying, but #21 was completely unable to pull her partner to safety out of the water.
That illustrates a very significant point. So what eventually had to happen?
Some guy had to jump in and pull the distressed swimmer to the edge of the water. Yyyup.
But no worries. Couldn't possibly imagine a simlar situation _ever_ arising in a combat zone, right? Where a 130-something pound female might ever _possibly_ have to move a 225 pound team mate or piece of equipment. Nahhhh....
what I would have done is pulled the panicked fool under bet he would have found the fire he needed to swim really fast.
Gotta feel bad for number 2. In his head it's saying: LET'S DO IT NOW! but his body says: NAH FUC THAT SHII!
Are these people civilians? This is the first time watching this and when I went through Airborne training when I served, That was a lot harder than what I see here.
I think a lot of them have basically 0 experience for this type of thing, yeh
It’s a tv show of civilians who want to know what small part of training is like
It's basically a reality show it would be bad press if they got the contestants killed lol might boost the ratings though.
Staz ia standing At Ease like someone in the Military......
swimming comes so natural to some....and a terrible challenge for others
Yes i wouldn't last a day😂
0:34 10 GET THE FUCK IN! 😂
The CS gas chamber phase in this episode is harder than British Army infantry training. All that is required in infantry training is to state name and number.
I dont get how you would even be allowed to do anything to do with the SAS, I would have thought that's like a basic requirement, am I missing something here?
Its a tv show, they’re regular people going through sas like training
It's nothing really like the real training
@@stevenroberts7568 yeh they have to adjust it for legal reasons and for the contestants, it's like basic basics for basic training.
It's not related to the actual SAS. All the people that run this are retired, they've just recreated basic training in their own facility.
What does your team. Think of the song mumma. Spike grils huh
Coyld you answer b4 the gov deletes all of u
Imagine seeing this guys fighting for our freedom in 1944
Here in Norway military service is mandatory(of course some get out but the majority of males do it) women can of course choose(so they not ruin or miilitary hehehe) so I have done all of this... even swam with skiies in 35 below zero in freezing water
makes me cry.
Ant and the others are not asking the trainiees .to do anything they have nt done or can't do .they are all highly trained military guys .regular army.paratroopzzers .marines .and of
Cource .SAS.THESE GUYS R FIT 2 TRAIN. Also command .and giveorders
all they had to do was float how do you suck at floating lmao
Titanic scene extras
Soooo there was no condensation coming from their mouths, so it can't have been freezing there. I mean it was a beautiful sunny day lol
🤣
Cold water bro. Big difference
@@myfavouritethings3187 yeah fair enough 👍🏼
You have to wear sun cream in the Arctic, lmao
Water is freezing can assure you
only one tablet of cs? Lucky lot
Black guy bad in the water living up to the stereotype
Ugh… any other former Soldiers get a laugh out of this?
@Holly Martin I assume becuase this is just a fraction of what really happens at sas training
yep many times in the CS gas chambers :-)
Yeah!
you guys should watch kitchen nightmares
3:24 try screaming at me like that I would beat the shit out of him
You better beat the shit out of your superior for good otherwise it will be your last time🤣🤣
What substance gives smoke
I have done the gas chamber in basic training in pirbright, horrendous,is the only word, horrendous
Lot of people think that these people are training to be SAS. Nope just tv show trying to show what it could look like. Special Forces around the world would never show the candidates and the training they go through out on public.
why is it only available in UK ? only
ive been in a cs gas chamber. you do it in basic training.
This is obviously completely scripted, the only thing missing is the rubber alligator with the jaws stuck in the open position.
Every SEAL I've met isn't as fit as their Hollywood counterparts. Body fat is critical in cold water!
Easy
Hilarious.
Cold water tolerance is a TRAINABLE skill. Anyone is going to die if they are soaking wet in a snowstorm on the side of a mountain during a gale ... but a pool of water is basically NEVER colder than zero degrees centigrade. Worst case scenario is -2c if its heavily saline sea water. You can literally train yourself to deal with this.
I dont want to be the keyboard warrior here, and I know its easy to sit at your desk and judge people. But Im a massive weakling that moved to an incredibly cold climate, so I had to train to deal with it. It is literally as straight forward as taking some regular ice cold showers, and exposing yourself to cold/hot cycles, and your body's metabolism does all the work for you and moderates your metabolic response to cold shock. It can be learned with just a little unpleasant training. Put it this way: Im not tough, and I used to have my heating set to 25 degrees. Anything less than 20c and I would feel cold. Now Im sitting here comfy and its 9c INDOORS.
If these guys are freaking out in cold water on a relatively clement day, that means they spent all their time in the gym, enjoying hot showers, and not exposing themselves to short bursts of the misery they would face in real situations.
There is a reason why there are so many Scots in the SAS. Exposure to harsh weather is part of the lifestyle.
that water is not much colder than 10 degrees. may be 5... There is no steam from breathing and its sunny with no wind - that temperature about the same as you get if you turn cold water in the shower. Really that is not cold. The fact that some people struggled so much is just pathetic, why were they trying to go on some SAS show? You should at least be able to endure that much if you want to go compare your fitness to SAS recruits.
So i just saw a video where one guy defeated this women, but here u see a women helping the guy even tho he is so big right ? So the conclusion is we are equal but we are different
bahaha these clowns wouldnt make through a basic training let alone special forces bahaha
thats so easy.....
it’s cold water so no matter who you are you will go through cold water shock
that one dude looks fit, but panicked right off the bat, ffs, do people in england never swim outside?
have you seen the water around the uk
@@officialJoebiden dude im from the far north in alberta, everything you guys have is like a swimming pool to me lol
@@kingryan69 ye it’s not about the temperature it’s that southern water dumps sewer water into the waters so not nice to swim in
Lol trying to figure out why she got all the things tattoos on her like that
Being a captain of a sports team does not make u a team player. It makes u a team manager. 😑
A bit like Christiano Ronaldo ignoring his whole team bcuz they are inadequate and he knows he can do just aswell alone 😂
This is would have been easy exercise in the communist red army as we had no heating in the barracks in --10 just vodka.
