Perpetual motion and free energy are NOT the same. Perpetual motion may not be possible, in reality because of various factors related to friction, wear and deformation over time. But free energy is different. Solar panel, wind generators and hydroelectric power stations CAN definitely be classed as Free, because their driving force is derived from Nature and the visible environment, with absolutely no input from artificial sources. These devices are merely converting these naturally occurring energy sources into mechanical or electrical energy. The only thing that needs to be paid for is the initial cost of setting them up and later on, their maintenance cost by way of wear or depletion. But in addition to this, Nikola Tesla was able to construct a few devices that were able to draw in energy from the Environment, using an OPEN setup. This form of energy is similar to wind and solar, but it is not taught about in colleges, for VERY obvious reasons. These machines also undergo wear, over time, but they can continue to run by themselves, without any normal known external energy source. Also, it is a fact that a normal ICE can be run on water, very efficiently. Since water is easily and abundantly available, we could say it is 'Free' but it is not free because water is the fuel and although water is comparatively easy to obtain, if you're close to the ocean, it has to be pre-treated before it can be used as a fuel source. But because this pre-treatment can also be done, using the mechanical energy from the engine, it can be considered as free. But here again, there is wear and tear involved and routine maintenance and spares will be required, to keep the setup going. That's why Tesla's lab was completely dismantled and whisked away from public access, because he had proven many methods from which abundant energy could be derived at very low cost and that is not what 'The powers that be' wanted.

Perpetual motion machines are not possible but if a machines works continuously even for 50 years continuously and then coming to a halt following the rules of physics it would be a great thing
If that's the definition , then you can take everything from the motion of heavenly bodies to the oscillation of atoms in a Caesium clock to be perpetual, but strictly speaking they are not, because there's a gradual dissipation of energy even though its rate is very very low (over centuries or even millions of years).

Actually, the rotation of earth is gradually slowing down. Since the volume of energy conserved is so high in this case, and the rate of dissipation is comparatively low, we are not able to "feel" it in our lifetime, that's all. But strictly speaking, it's not a perpetual motion.

Theoretically , Perpetual motion is possible , but you cannot get any useful energy for unlimited time, It is like saving a limited amount of energy in the form of motion .. Or we can say it's just potential energy .. Planets moving around a planet isn't perpetual motion, planets are getting closer and closer to their stars. Though Perpetual motion can be achieved in a super conducting loop of wire, it's not possible in reality.

It's just an object that converts its potential energy to kinetic energy and vice versa during each cycle. The moment we try to extract some work (i.e., steal energy) from it, it naturally stops. It's not a miracle. A more simple example could be a spinning wheel, if it can be built to work without any friction (ideally), it will just spin forever. There's an interesting book (2 volumes) named "Physics for entertainment" (ഭൗതിക കൗതുകം) written by Yakhov Perelman, that has a dedicated chapter which discusses such fictional machines & claims from history, in length.

I used to watch Praveen Mohan's Channel.... In each and every video he desperately tries to claim, the Saints who lived in India always had highly advanced thinking capabilities that rivals the scientists at present . Anyway, candidly speaking, I think his whole aim was nothing but Religious Propaganda.
Those indian scientists were definitely above his contemporaries in rest of the world but not to present day scientists Thats the whole crux of the statement
@@dktvm7679 Those planets (to be specific, celestial bodies that move w. r. to the stars) were not known only 1500 years ago, but was very much familiar to humans and they observed + studied their cycles of motion (compared to the constellations of stars) since days of Babylonia itself. But pls note that they could identify ONLY those planets that are observable by bare eyes, and NOT those which later was discovered using telescopes. This is because, they were also humans like us (same species & having very same brain), so they were as "intelligent" as we are today, but due to lack of technology & tools in that era, the "knowledge" could not be gathered, that's all (Note that these two are different! ☺️). Same case with stages of pregnancy etc.

Perpetual motion and free energy are NOT the same. Perpetual motion may not be possible, in reality because of various factors related to friction, wear and deformation over time. But free energy is different. Solar panel, wind generators and hydroelectric power stations CAN definitely be classed as Free, because their driving force is derived from Nature and the visible environment, with absolutely no input from artificial sources. These devices are merely converting these naturally occurring energy sources into mechanical or electrical energy. The only thing that needs to be paid for is the initial cost of setting them up and later on, their maintenance cost by way of wear or depletion. But in addition to this, Nikola Tesla was able to construct a few devices that were able to draw in energy from the Environment, using an OPEN setup. This form of energy is similar to wind and solar, but it is not taught about in colleges, for VERY obvious reasons. These machines also undergo wear, over time, but they can continue to run by themselves, without any normal known external energy source. Also, it is a fact that a normal ICE can be run on water, very efficiently. Since water is easily and abundantly available, we could say it is 'Free' but it is not free because water is the fuel and although water is comparatively easy to obtain, if you're close to the ocean, it has to be pre-treated before it can be used as a fuel source. But because this pre-treatment can also be done, using the mechanical energy from the engine, it can be considered as free. But here again, there is wear and tear involved and routine maintenance and spares will be required, to keep the setup going. But because the energy output is substantial, and the cost of energy nowadays is quite high, the corresponding maintenance cost is not very significant. Just because there a lot of crooks trying to make easy money on RUclips, by showing real nonsensical stuff, it doesn't mean that these things are not possible. The methods used are much different when compared to known, approved, so called standard methods, quoted by regular scientists and engineers. That's why Tesla's lab was completely dismantled and whisked away from public access, because he had proven many methods from which abundant energy could be derived at very low cost and that is not what 'The powers that be' wanted.

If that's the definition , then you can take everything from the motion of heavenly bodies to the oscillation of atoms in a Caesium clock to be perpetual, but strictly speaking they are not, because there's a gradual dissipation of energy even though its rate is very very low (over centuries or even millions of years).

Actually, the rotation of earth is gradually slowing down. Since the volume of energy conserved is so high in this case, and the rate of dissipation is comparatively low, we are not able to "feel" it in our lifetime, that's all. But strictly speaking, it's not a perpetual motion.

It's just an object that converts its potential energy to kinetic energy and vice versa during each cycle. The moment we try to extract some work (i.e., steal energy) from it, it naturally stops. It's not a miracle. A more simple example could be a spinning wheel, if it can be built to work without any friction (ideally), it will just spin forever.
There's an interesting book (2 volumes) named "Physics for entertainment" (ഭൗതിക കൗതുകം) written by Yakhov Perelman, that has a dedicated chapter which discusses such fictional machines & claims from history, in length.

But pls note that they could identify ONLY those planets that are observable by bare eyes, and NOT those which later was discovered using telescopes.
This is because, they were also humans like us (same species & having very same brain), so they were as "intelligent" as we are today, but due to lack of technology & tools in that era, the "knowledge" could not be gathered, that's all (Note that these two are different! ☺️). Same case with stages of pregnancy etc.
