Sisters, I assure you, it is absolutely vital to the survival of the imperium that you be barefoot at all times. -Doge Vandire unveiling the newly discovered “wikifeet” stc.
A slight correction: The Sisters don't HATE ALL psykers. Sanctioned inquisitors and ship navigators and Space Marine Librarians are quite revered. They HATE the rogue psykers that run around and set things on fire with their mind and open warp gates.
That depends significantly on the Sisters in question. There's plenty of them who revile Space Marines as being approved mutants that the Imperium would be better off without, and Librarians are even worse because they're psykers.
Like in any group, opinions vary from subgroup to subgroup, many spacemarines are higher than thou assholes and have that attitude when interacting with other imperials, but It depends on what chapter we are talking about.
That's kinda similar to how the Black Templars often think. I think the biggest reason they get along even if one looks down on another is both their religious zeal to the Emperor as the Eternal Crusaders of the Black Templars and the devotion of the Sisters
My favourite part about Morvenn Vahl is that the "Chosen by the Ecclesiarch in the vain hope of securing a malleable and inexperienced pawn" part makes it clear the Ecclesiarch has never ever actually talked to a sister of battle in their lives.
They literally thought they could use her due to being young and therefore more naive when they chose arguably one of the more battle hardened orders of the whole organization
because heavily indoctrinated youth are /obviously/ the most likely to listen to outside influence and /never ever/ feel they have something to prove by being younger than everyone else in a position.
They could've pitched this idea to the most idiot member of the Imperial Guard. An Ogrynn that needs to be reminded to put on his boots, a misogynistic Catachan, or some backwoods derper. And he'd have told them how fucking retarded that idea is.
Plus they picked a sister from Argent Shroud, the "deeds not words" order of the Adepta Sororitas. Your mealy-mouthed politicking from the safety of your bureaucratic headquarters is not going to sway her.
Personally, I like the theory that Orks and Sisters are tapping into non-chaos warp energy. The reason the Warp is synonymous with Chaos nowadays is because the War In Heaven fucked it beyond all recognition and turned the realm of Chaos into almost the whole thing. Ork WAAHH energy predates the rise of chaos, and Sisters are diametrically opposed to it as their starting point, so I think it's very plausible that their powers are derived from the fragments of the warp not enveloped by Chaos. In fact, it could be that "psykers" as we know them are simply Warp users who are predisposed to the Chaos part of the warp, and Warp users in general are far more common than we think, but they're unable to use their ability because the power source they're predisposed to is atrophied, meaning that only the most dedicated believers can touch the scraps and pull power from the non-chaos parts of the warp.
The way I see it is that sufficiently powerful warp entities create their own pocket areas of the warp, so the chaos gods each have one, the Eldar gods used to have their own but they were fucked over when Slaanesh ate most of them, the ork gods of Gork and Mork have their own (probably just one to be honest, because while they don't hate each other like the chaos gods do, they are going to be beating the shit out of each other 24/7 because that's what orks do for fun) and the bits of Big E that did end up in the warp, the entity or split entities the Neverborn refer to as the Anathema probably have their own. So basically, most psykers just access whatever bit of the warp is closest to where they are for the moment, but some of them are locked to just one of these sub realms, which means the dominant power of said sub realm can let them tap power from that place without necessarily accessing the rest of the warp. Then again, the SoB miracles even work through Necron ECM, and those ancient pieces of drek built their tech to shut down anything even remotely warp adjacent. As in, Emps sent in his flaming boys to wreck face and this shit murked them, but the Sisters were still manifesting angel wings and burning heretics with zero problems.
Actually, as of the book "Brutal Kunnin' " your idea about the Orkz is pretty much spot on. We even get a minor POV from a Demon of Khorne and learn that they *FUCKING HATE* orkz because even the psychicly inclined orks don't tap into the Warp.
The way i see it, the warp is influenced by local reality and shape local reality as a result, its a two sided interaction. Lots of murder and death, for example, was what slowly destabilized reality around the hive city of Vraks during its siege, eventually causing the heretics forces to create a full blown warp storm for deamons to flow through. The sisters do the same, essentially through pure weight of faith, the local warp is distorted with the energies of beleif, eventually it will start having a distorting effect on reality as a result. There is aslo the fact that many saints inherit their powers from free floating shards of the emperor's soul, which grant them great influence over reality, in the same way a cultist may imbue himself with the powers of a deamon, though posession is far more of a one sided trip ususaly ending badly for the cultist

"I'm curious about the chalice" Considering the black color and its anti-psyker powers, I'm guess its actually Necron tech of some kind. Sounds like something they'd make.
@@trazyntheinfinite1150 could you at LEAST replicate it and sneak it into the sister’s room? You probably don’t want them to go screeching into your vaults and breaking your shit, anyway.

It's a "psy-negative" liquid derived from the emperors golden throne. It comes up in a book, i think legion of the damned, but it's like liquified null, in legion of the damned it's dried into a powder and kept in an orb and is very good at killing demons and will send psykers into a deep coma that makes them immune to demonic possession while comatose.
It's pretty much that GW won't move a budge of adding female space marines that looks like today's female hulk since they just say "well we did, but people are not interested, and female SM won't fit the lore" excuse. It feels incredibly petty to whine about a male only army, when it is the ONLY male army that the Imperium has while every other Imperium army are either female only (Sororitas, assassins) or mixed genders (such as guardsman and knight pilots having both female and males). Even Eldars have a bit of matriarchy in there, and the Tau has female soldiers there.
@@iwillzpwnu5686 exactly if they force sisters into astartes then i want battle brothers in the sisterhood to dismantle the matriarchy, because muh equality.
@@dovakeen1179 I mean that's not really the same thing at all. Being a sisterhood is kind of the factions WHOLE identity. Its the schtick of the group: being nuns in space. Being dudes is not a vital part of the Astartes. Its part of the lore and its a part of them to a degree but only as a side plus lore thing. Just say Belisaurius cooked up some shit and now female space marines sometimes. They'd still be linked genetically to the primarch. They would be sons and daughters but still a "family" and inheriting the same traits. That's the important part of the astartes identity. That isn't changed. Don't get me wrong I like that bit of the lore too but its not more important than having 40k potentially grow by a lot and be a lot more enjoyed by chicks that already like it too. But of course the Brotherhood of Adeptus Astartes is totally different and must absolutely be entirely replaced by women. Seriously though, saying that Sisters of Battle entire identity is based "wholly" on them all being Female, is a rather shallow view of them, and Is a disservice.
Canonically, there's only one Sister of Battle who fell to Slaanesh, she's called Miriael Sabathiel. But I'm happy to see that the meme of Sisters of Battle being really repressed and easily getting swayed by Slaaneshi things is still very much alive. Also, the Sisters in the right side of the thumbnail looks like Dora the Explorer.
"You detestable mutants dare to fill your Minds with such Vile obscenity!? Die Heretic!!!" *purging noises* *picks up Slaaneshi drawing* "Maybe..... Just one look......"
Many Sororitas have fallen to Slaanesh and Chaos over the millennia, but it is almost invariably by corruption or daemonic possession, meaning they were forced into it. Miriael Sabathiel is unique because she is the only Sororitas in recorded history to forsake her vows and take up the worship of Slaanesh out of her own free will. This is such a stain on the honor of the Adepta Sororitas that they had another Sororitas change her name to Miriael Sabathiel and pretend to be her in order to denounce the real Miriael as a liar and a pretender. It's actually kind of hilarious.
My personal theory on "The Emperor becoming a god due to belief" is that the 1000 psyker sacrifices/day is slowly creating a Chaos God of Fanaticism/Ideology/Principles. When it comes alive, it's going to sort of be/sort of not be the Emperor, perhaps more like a reflection of him. After the huge psychic shitstorm that arises afterwards, we'll have some in the Imperium who believe that the true Emperor has returned, others believing the true Emperor is still on the Throne, and both accusing each other of heresy.
The God emperor literally eats a thousand souls a day and here's this order of gun nuns killing people in his name. Yea I think this counts as blood sacrifice by warp rules. 'Kill 50 heretics and the 'warp' god emperor can eat their souls and grant you a 'miracle'.
@@elitemook4234 So like Call of Duty? Just camp for kills to get the miracle nuke lmao. But IMO the Emperor will become just the God of Mankind, a sort of combination/collective afterlife for all humans.
Bricky: "I hate it when the Sisters are anime sexualised" Also Bricky: (Produces and sells an anime Sister in a bikini with abs as a design for a shaker cup) Hm.
Just to comment on the "Sisters hate Space Marines" they don't really hate them, but they are not on good terms mostly because SM largely follow Imperial Truth and don't believe Emperor to be a god and that's where the main conflict between them comes through. However Black Templars and Sisters are on good terms because they both believe Emperor to be a god. Also Sisters are on good terms with Blood Angels because Sanguinius is the second holiest icon in the Imperium right after the Big E himself and they are glad to fight alongside with the scions of "Emperor's most holiest Son" That's and actual quote from the "Dante" book. So I think that "hate" is a little to strong of a word to use when describing the relationships between Space Marines and Sisters of Battle overall.
@@velphidrow But Space Marines aren't mutants. They are Engineered humans and in fact a creation of Emperor himself. In fact, Space Marines do tend to LOSE mutations that they had before becoming Astartes, as yet again shown in "Dante". But I do consider that their relationships vary from chapter to chapter, because it is clearly shown that SoB LIKE Blood Angels and say that it's an HONOR to fight alongside them.
Some Sisters believe that Space Marines are holy, like his "Avenging Angels." Others just believe that Space Marines don't believe Big E is a god because they are on a level of closeness and divinity to him.
I always found Sanguinius being called the "holiest son" funny considering Dorn is skipped over IMMENSLY in that claim, but to some extent thar could probably be blamed on imperial censure of great crusade era knowledge and that of the Heresy. Emps spent most of the Crusade aboard the Phalanx with Dorn, and Dorn took up the role of Warmaster after Istvaan and Horus betrayal. The man held the imperium together nearly by himself for 7 years and seems to get no credit for if

I can't believe Bricky forgot some of the coolest shit about the Bloody Rose. 1) When St. Mina died, she wrote her order's tenants in her own blood, as well as the blood of literally *thousands* of defeated foes. 2) Bloody Rose sisters don't whisper or say their prayers normally. They scream them 3) Some BR Sisters get so riled up in combat, that they begin to cry blood and create localized storms 4) Some BR Sisters forgo regular weapons and instead go into battle without weapons, purely to beat the everloving shit out of whatever they happen to be fighting.
If I hadn't already decided to go with Bloody Rose when I do eventually start collecting Sisters of Battle, these little tidbits would have absolutely swayed me.
ayyy that hot take is exactly why I've been praising the new range of sisters and why "female space marines" is the most low effort complaint about them. Imo the sisters are both diversity and faction theme done perfectly. solid lore with a clear place in the lore that does not feel shoe-horned yet with powers and weaknesses. Now if every faction aside from Sphess marinos got this treatment then oh boy would 40k be even more of a masterpiece.
If anything I blame more the people back then who didn't accept the woman space marine, now we have something else that I too prefer to the space marine and I'm not sure going back would be a good thing
@@TheAnimaAnimal Noone cares what you want. Female space marines are bullsh*t for the same reason male sisters of battle are. There already are two female only and several mixed military organisations in WH40k. Why shouldn't there be at least one male organisation?
Fully agree we need to expand the Sister of Battle also the sister of silence rather than bringing femal space marines. Adding detail like 41:03 is quite extreme but i get it.
If they ever do something with female space marines, I dont want them to be Imperium OR chaos. I want it to be some other perpetual, possible Urde, doing a "Well emps ya fucking blew it. Guess if I want humanity saved, I'd better do it myself" only to have the rest of the imperium go "I think the F not!" And it be some huge human but non imperium faction introduction with their own whole set of culture and subgroups (maybe including men of iron, maybe also bring them back into the setting in a big way), perhaps aligned with some remnant of the OG human empire that survived either on the farthest fringe or outside the galaxy for all this time, and is now out to reclaim their rightful place of primacy from this horrific usurper of their legacy calling himself The Emporer. Would hope this would coincide with a primarch return to lead the defense against this new threat. Obviously with the grim dark nature of 40k they wouldnt be good guys per say, but DIFFERENT evil than the imperium
@@Prodzick or just a resurgent and vengeful human Federation. Their evil is that they would have been broadly responsible for the state the imperium found everyone in durring the great crusade. And if they get their way it might get that bad again. But it could also lead to pockets like the Interex who were better off before imperial contact, so like every faction they're still morally grey
Another hot take While I dont think that creating female space marine is such a big deal (maybe because I am kinda sick and tired of SM in general) I think it would be far better if GW expanded on the Sisters of Battle lore AND released more female miniatures of the other factions of the Imperium that canonocally use mixed gender troops like the guardsmen and Ad Mech. Heck they can even take it one step further and do it for the Tau and Necrons as well
I'm completely behind him. I think its infantizing how people treat women and minorities these days. Its just benevolent sexism/racism. The white hair was most likely caused by the sheer shock of seeing the emperor. I forget the medical name but its a fairly rare occurence in real life. Someone goes through such a shocking exeperince in such a short time that it causes their hair to turn stark white from the sheer stress
in the movie Come and see, when the main character is held up to the screen his hair had turned a slight shade of grey, I've seen people claim it was natural from the mental toll the young actor took from the scene where he escapes a barn filled with villagers that's about to get lit up, or that it was just grey hair dye

I'll be entirely honest, I'm all about the more "pristine" versions of the Sisters' aesthetic. It just hits harder how nasty of a group they are that way, especially compared to the worn-out and grimey Guardsmen that are all the more human while both being unmodified. Also, I think the "pristine" look fits the "holy" aesthetic and the idea of religious fervor and devotion even to the way they would present themselves, but hey. Then again, I just am not the target public for the Sisters, I just kinda like the look of their equipment (for the same reasons I like the Bretonnians in fantasy basically), so screw my opinion on this. Also, I'm all about contrast, and there's nothing better to me than a sweet face hiding deep-seated hatred.
I absolutely feel this take. I LOVE their aesthetic and looking good for the Emperor is part of the appeal. Of course there are different Orders with different priorities so there will always be something for everyone.
I agree with Bricky on pretty much everything, however: I feel like the sisters can be pretty too, you can have scars and still look good, though the BATTLE sisters definitely shouldn’t prioritize looks (and I am glad they don’t, power armor should never have cleavage). In the same way a guardsman can be handsome without going out of his way to do it a sister should be able to be beautiful without going out of her way to do it. The diplomat and nurse and scholar sisters can actively try to look pretty but those aren’t the point here. As a side note: maybe their faces wouldn’t be so scarred up if they wore their helmets more often. It’s not like they’re all named characters who need to have their face showing for plot armor to work.
Apparently the Helmet things is something to do with the sister's belief that the emperor will protect them anyway. The outcome is always more dead sisters, although they were always more of a blunt instrument.
@@Havermeyer7908 they’d be more effective blunt instruments if they wore helmets... buuut, fair, I suppose I shouldn’t expect them to be rational or anything like that Edit: I read back through this comment and it came across as way snarkier than I meant for it to be... I can see justification for the "boob plates" from a model perspective. On the tabletop, you have to really exaggerate any distinguishing features to make them visible. A reliable way to get across the gender of a model is whether or not they have breasts. Then, when you make art depicting them, you have to stay reasonably close to the established design, so they keep the "boob plate."

To understand the powers of sisters, you should start with Imperial Saints. Basically, they are people who had SUCH tremendous, such blind, utter and complete faith in the Emperor, that they could literally shape the Warp itself with it - warp is emotion incarnate, it’s the realm of souls, the immaterial plane. So an emotion strong enough can indeed affect it, change it. That’s how the Chaos Gods appeared - the negative emotions of mortals (anger, fear, ambition, and obsession being the primary 4) have manifested in the Warp for millennia, and then shaped these four terrible psychik entities (and many more lesser ones). However, the Warp is not limited to negative emotion. So, like I said, people of tremendous faith could literally shape warp with their faith alone. Through that many of them have been reborn into Warp entities, sort of like many Chaos followers are reborn into daemons in the warp. Except that the Saints are “positive emotion daemons” (well or at least “less-negative-emotion-daemons”). The miracles the sisters perform on the battlefield are of the same nature - they literally believe things into existence by shaping the Warp itself through sheer faith.
Actually, þe chaos gods are double edged swords. Korne is war but also tactics, honour, and being a good soldier by simply following orders. Slaansh is excess yes, but also artistry and creativity. Tzntch is well, Tzntch, but he's also rational þinking and innovation. Nurgle is rot disease, but also life and nature. So þere was always light but ever since þe war in heaven, þe gods were corrupted. Except Slaansh, þey weren't even born. Þe four original chaos gods were more likely a lot more benevolent þan before (except Nurgle, he was likely just more easy to be around *wiþout* instantly dying), þe original fourþ, often referred to as þe fifþ, had died, but was supposedly malice as well as righteousness and independence (lets hope þe Americans don't chase me for saying þeir favourite word).
When I got into Warhammer 40k, I was and still am extremely Catholic. As I got into 40k, I fell in love with the Sisters of Battle and Black Templar Space Marines. I have a small Black Templars force and might cop myself some Sisters of Battle to maximize FAITH!

Based take from Bricky on Hollywood's lazy method of being "inclusive" by taking existing IPs (i.e. ghostbusters) and lazily going like "lol ok they're girls now xd give us money1!". I'm all for inclusivity but do it in a way that's actually interesting. It's sad to see stuff from my childhood being ruined for the sake of "inclusivity" because it's not even the fact that a woman, or minority, or whoever is now the main character, it's that they're usually poorly written, shoehorned in, use male characters as a punchline, or are even just too perfect to be believable. And the fact that bad writing is acceptable just because the main character is a woman and it's "empowering" or whatever just doesn't make any sense. Most well-known and deeply appreciated characters in fiction (male and female) are only loved so much because they have flaws and a character arch, and cause the person watching or reading their story can relate to them. A character that starts out perfect and stays that way is just boring, flat, and stagnant. Male or female. Cheers guys, another amazing episode of this podcast, loving every second of it so far.
So far the best theory i have heard of the Miracles is that it comes from a Warp entity known as "The Emperor". And depending on your point of view this could either be part of the real Emperor or a greater daemon born from Humanity's beliefs that thinks itself as the True emperor. This is mainly due to the Saints behavior a lot like Greater Daemons and the Legion of the Dammed being basically Emperor Daemons

They focus too much on the grim dark aspect to the point it just makes Warhammer look unappealing. Heck they even retconned a lot of the bullshit and grim dark plot holes that has plagued 40k. Some good and some really unnecessary. Like for real I have tried to introduce Warhammer 40k to people and showed them Bricky' video and they absolutely did not like it. They asked what is the point of caring for the universe and the people in it if they all act like assholes for no reasons. I had to show them other Warhammer media like the fan animations of Sodaz and Astartes and some clips from the Warhammer games. To show them that there is humanity and good people in this universe despite all bad stuff that happens. They were more willing to try to look into the franchise. Which is why I am irked with Bricky at times because he seems to act like an elitist at times who shit talks people's interpretations or preferences of Warhammer and really goes too hard in the memes. The difference between a Kriegsman and a Sister of Battle is that a Sister of Battle will die fighting a hoard of Daemons alone in a rubbled city. A Kriegsman on the other hand will wholeheartedly accept dying by Mortar shell from his own side while marching in the middle of No Man's Land.
@@jirojhasuo2ndgrandcompany745 that's the meme. Kreigsmen would never wholeheartedly accept a friendly fire shell if said shell won't accomplish anything. Kreig boys love to throw themselves to death but only if said death would add to the success of said mission. Kreigsmen are not just "haha I'm suicidal" lot like the memes tell you. They seek atonement and worthlessly dying won't get them closer on said atonement.
Got around to watch this and I 100% agree with the ending bit with Bricky and the sisters. They deserve all the love and to expand their lore and what they are about. Don't change something that already works. Keep it as is and let it flourish.
Im leaving a like just for Brickys take on female space marines. The debate on the topic is so needlessly vitriolic and divisive so its nice to see another nuanced take
I honestly think in general the sisters have both the horribly scared and just beautiful sisters in all the parts of it since not everyone is like the same so i think the way they are you can have both in the orders.
I think it's better to treat them as diverse as Guardsmen in looks, mannerisms, conducts, and doctrines. You can have beautiful & spotless anime-style Sisters who will never have to fire a bolter all their lives and generally serve as bored glorified elite icons in convents inundated with Order bureaucracy, indoctrination & management. You can have battle-hardened, scar-ridden sisters who know nothing but war, who's just the ugliest, rudest & most unhinged. You can have charming & shrewd tacticians/diplomats looking like no-nonsense businesswomen who use people for their Orders' benefits & expansions, and will casually outwit lords/governors on a daily basis. All of them can exist together in 40k, bc people are shaped by their designated environments & functions.
Back again for a fresh listen. The solution I want for the female space marine issue is giving the Sister's their own primaris upgrade aka Primaris Sororitas where they are augmented sisters and NOT astartes. They are bigger, faster and hella jacked women but are limited by requiring proximity to battle hymns and prayer that allow their blood to flow with holy energy and without it they fall into a coma. Functioning on table top and lore of being crack elites but breaking their source of power cripples them. Thus making them a risky but valuable option without replacing normal sister units.
Even if there *_were_* female Space Marines: you wouldn't be able to tell if they have their helmet on. They'd essentially get stuffed with testosterone prior to or just after beginning puberty, their vocal chords would deepen, and their muscle-mass would render them physically indistinguishable from their battle-brothers, anyway. And the gene-seed is literally the genes of a male primarch, which transforms an initiate into a mini, half-clone of the Primarch, in question. And Hell: being a Space Marine or becoming one isn't very fun. It's quite horrific, your ability to have sex and reproduce is taken away, and you will almost assuredly die a very painful death, in battle. I would choose to be a Sister of Battle over a Space Marine, any day.
@Razorbitz Blurglenerf The militant arm of the SoB are only one part of the organization. There are dialogues and Hospitallers who aren’t primarily combatants.

Wasn't it that useful psykers are like objects to them?
Something to function, something to exist in order to do the Emperor's bidding.
The Sisters are zealots to a one and likely are schooled on where they come from. Why did they think any of the sisters would go with them?
You put more thought into this than games workshop has lol
Actually, as of the book "Brutal Kunnin' " your idea about the Orkz is pretty much spot on.
We even get a minor POV from a Demon of Khorne and learn that they *FUCKING HATE* orkz because even the psychicly inclined orks don't tap into the Warp.
@@zigmus00A To be fair ANY daemon of Khorne hates EVERYTHING.

Idk, a "centrist" opinion is still a position on things. It's only natural for some form of interaction to occur.

There is also Asenath Hyades, from Requiem Infernal
Many Sororitas have fallen to Slaanesh and Chaos over the millennia, but it is almost invariably by corruption or daemonic possession, meaning they were forced into it. Miriael Sabathiel is unique because she is the only Sororitas in recorded history to forsake her vows and take up the worship of Slaanesh out of her own free will. This is such a stain on the honor of the Adepta Sororitas that they had another Sororitas change her name to Miriael Sabathiel and pretend to be her in order to denounce the real Miriael as a liar and a pretender. It's actually kind of hilarious.
@@Brutalyte616 Sounds like something insane religious fanatics would do.
Dude.....thats smart
The God emperor literally eats a thousand souls a day and here's this order of gun nuns killing people in his name. Yea I think this counts as blood sacrifice by warp rules. 'Kill 50 heretics and the 'warp' god emperor can eat their souls and grant you a 'miracle'.

A lot of the SoB do hate Astartes. They are mutants, but are tolerated ones much like psykers
@@velphidrow But Space Marines aren't mutants. They are Engineered humans and in fact a creation of Emperor himself. Some Sisters believe that Space Marines are holy, like his "Avenging Angels."
Others just believe that Space Marines don't believe Big E is a god because they are on a level of closeness and divinity to him.
I always found Sanguinius being called the "holiest son" funny considering Dorn is skipped over IMMENSLY in that claim, but to some extent thar could probably be blamed on imperial censure of great crusade era knowledge and that of the Heresy.
@Preston Henson Yeah, that's honestly the more marketable answer.
Both exist (probably just different orders), have fun.
I absolutely feel this take. I LOVE their aesthetic and looking good for the Emperor is part of the appeal. Of course there are different Orders with different priorities so there will always be something for everyone.
One thing I really like about the armour of the Sisters of Battle is the Gothic Fleur De Lis you often see incorporated in to it.
@@Havermeyer7908 they’d be more effective blunt instruments if they wore helmets... buuut, fair, I suppose I shouldn’t expect them to be rational or anything like that
Edit: I read back through this comment and it came across as way snarkier than I meant for it to be... I was trying to agree that “okay, fair point, the sisters aren’t the most rational group out there. Makes sense”
@@blackdragonxtra while that is a good justification, I still think it is an awful idea to have cleavage showing (boob plate, while silly, is fine I think, I mean the cod piece was a thing...)

Saint Dominica be like “This is an extreme thirst” and add a dash of liquid void

I think the Female Space Marine thing got started was because it just felt like we were NEVER going to get Plastic Sisters of Battle. (You could only buy them in terrible metal and only online.) So fans wanting SOME lady rep in their armies pretty much said "Hey! You're ONLY ever updating the Space Marines anyway so can we just have some plastic lady heads?"
Then GW FINALLY gave us Plastic Sisters. And it was Good.
"I'm a Battle Girl in a Grim dark World.
Life in plastic, it's fantastic"
Nah, plastic sisters were already out when people started asking for fem marines.
My theory is that the people asking only have a surface level knowledge of 40k, as in they just saw the space marines and went “no female marines? SEXIST”
Back before the dark days of Matt Ward I had a GK/Sisters army, still have it, though not legal now sadly. But my only complaint with them was the price tag. Now they are at least a little cheaper, but it brings back old memories of the army that died at the alter of dumb.

I really like Bricky's take on the Sisters.
I do like Bricky's idea but I do not like his interpretation of how the Sister should be. I mean personally a problem for GW and a lot of people on the fan base like Bricky. It depends upon people though and I am happy Bricky managed to expose more of Warmeme but personally and with how I tried getting friends into the hobby they feel more annoyed than anything.
@@toledochristianmatthew9919 Grimderp should be retconned, Grimdark must be preserved. 40k is the only remotely popular grimdark sci-fi setting, and it doesn’t matter if your friends can’t find it in them to give a shit after watching just one video, plenty of people can. More and more every day in fact.
@@brilobox2 It not the grimdark they don't actually like. It is a lot of the other stuff that is grim dark just for the sake of being grim dark. Where a lot of time characters act edgy out of no reason and do a lot of stupid stuff or there is a lot in the lore that just contradicts that was established. Like for example like that time Grey massacred a bunch of Sisters of battle to prevent themselves from falling into Chaos despite the fact it had already been stated even in the Codex that time that Grey nights were uncorruptable. Or how GW doesn't freaking understand logistics and statistics where major battles do not seem to have the right amount combatants like it is supposed to have. Not all the writers and authors can be like Dan Abbett so you varying degrees of quality in the lore. I don't want 40k to lose it grimdark themes, i just want GW to do better in the writing department and for the community to stop acting edgy themselves and convince more people without resorting to memes all the time. My friends are now into Warhammer after some convincing (although they aren't getting into the minis because screw GW for overpricing their models) and has gotten more into Warhammer lore even bought more of the video games. I think it is the type of content people watch that convinces them to look into Warhammer more. I show them other RUclips content besides Bricky like Baldemort and they became more intrigued.

This was neat. Makes me want to get that Artel W Tzeentch sister now.
i love their large grenades on their chests well rounded
