When i first saw the suit i thought it looked kinda like body-armorish and was like "that makes sense" and then i doubled back said "wait, he's superman..."
I worked as a mechanic for 2 years.....that suit looks like a MECHANIC'S SUIT.......!!!! ugly ugly...

Imma go out on a limb here with what I think is going on. looking at the suit it seems to be burned/dirty. So he's obviously been in a recent battle. Maybe some form of Kryptonite/ Red sun energy was involved? I mean usually his suit is as invulnerable as he is. The fact that he seems to be moving at human speed getting dressed suggests to me he might not have his powers or they're slowly returning. So in the first encounter he got de-powered but survived. While sidelined Guy Gardner and others are trying to fight back. Now he's recovered a bit and he's about to get back in the fight?
Greg I just want to let you know, it's been one of those days where You're dreading the next one feels like a cloud is hovering over you. Saw this video in my mood changed, your energy is infectious as always and I honestly think you so much for it. You're that hype man of the friend group that keeps you positive.
Compared to how the Christopher Reeve, Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill’s first appearance suit looks really good. This looks more like cosplay compared to those ones.

It was elegant with fine pattern details the S didn’t look too much like human language It was alien and foreign like let’s not forget this dude is supposed to be not from earth so his suit has to resemble some foreign culture . but this shit looks like he’s coming from cosplay. 😂

I wish they would go back to the bright red cape and now that depressing dark red they have used in the last couple of versions.
Despite the logo change I was hoping James Gunn would give us the classic Superman outfit but alas it just looks like the CW show costume with some minor adjustments, & excessive amounts of lines, overall not impressed.
Although I will say, I’m really happy he’s got the red trunks, Superman’s suit needs the red trunks.
Im just going to say, were used to Henry's suit. Change is always slow, but I feel the more we see of it, and that it at least is separate from previous takes. We need a superman to break from Christopher Reeves portrayal, and redefine the characters. Let's see if Gunn can deliver.

Plus, guys he's wearing this suit fr shoot. James Gunn clearly wrote this is a real photo. And the background is perhaps LED volume. Now surely they'll further refine it in post production. It'll probably look more skin tight
Looks very new 52 inspired which I like. Seems like reactions have been mixed overall but I'm a fan of the overall look.
Greg has summed up my thoughts perfectly. I also wish the cape was a bit shorter, I like a DCAU-esque length for the cape personally. Also wish the image itself was more vibrant. This is supposed to be the return to a hopeful, bright Superman and the image does not convey that
The image looks like a cheap CW production (i know is a raw image with no Post-Production), but yeah he totally looks the part.

I especially love that you can see the folds and creases in it, unlike the marvel suits that have been annoying me because they cg the natural folds out of them and it looks, well, unnatural and weird

@@Luis56782 I think that works in his favor. Superman is supposed to be that kind of blue collar worker-like figure. The people's hero. I'm not a fan of the stupid live action super hero suit paneling and I honestly thought we were past that, but the general silhouette of the suit is something I can get behind.
Designs not bad. Was hoping for a more traditional look especially with a brighter blue, red and yellow. This looks closer to routh's suit in terms of color.

It looks ok but he doesnt fill the suit out like Cavill. Plus they made this big deal how they wanted Superman to be bright and fun after Snyders darker take. This doesnt look that different.
I like this tired look. It humanizes him for me. Like many of us at some point we just get tired. Can you imagine being him? It would be exhausting.

Why do every super hero costume has to have that weird hoarse texture nowadays, tho? Like every single freakin' one. I understand if it's Aquaman, ok, he always supposed to had a scale-like costume. Since Solaris is the main villain in James Gunn's movie. It would've been perfect to introduce the younger Superman, "David Corenswet." James Gunn would've gained Henry Cavill Superman fans and new fans of his Superman.

The design itself is not bad but its too loose and thick, that's why there are so many wrinkles. No muscle definition on his chest and abs makes it looks like a cosplay.

No offense to cosplayers, they put a lot of work into their cosplay and I would never take anything from that, but this looks like something from a cosplayer photoshoot at a comic con or something. Complete with the tacky low budget special effects in the background and all. Pretty sure I’ve been Jessica Nigri post higher quality cosplaying photos than this.
Suit’s pretty neat though. Just a weird way to reveal it.

I'm so disapointed by this suit. It looks militaristic and overdesigned, everthing a Superman suit should not be. The way the material folds looks like hes wearing a jacket and I hate those lines on the suit. The colors and fit are bad too. Still my most antecipated movie but this is a shame and did a disservice to David Corenswet who looks great as Superman
IT's a suit lol. What matters is is the actor. Has to be much better than Cavill for it to make any sense. Right now it doesn't.
I think Gunn's gonna start the movie with the DCU in this hopeless jaded "Golden Age" (meta commentary on current superhero films) with one foot in the Snyder aesthetics.
but then Supes is gonna finally take a stand and step into a leadership role, ushering in the "New Frontier" or silver age, forming his JLA, perhaps accompanied by a costume change to the silver age costume.
It looks baggy, stiff, creases galore, boots look like foam rubber, the collar looks tight on his neck; I honestly don’t understand how anyone could look at this suit (and especially with past suits to compare) and think it’s anything but poor. Oh and I HATE the S emblem. It looks fine in a comic but not real life. Literally speaking, it’s a thick diagonal slash! The curl in his hair is more of an S shape!

I'm not impressed with the suit... It must be the position he's in, but it looks baggy in some places and doesn't fit him well. I hate the high collar on the suit.. I just have to hope that the film is great and get used to this style.. Maybe with another image, I can see it better....
