    I totally watched this while pumping for my twins! Great video! I use an aluminum water container (Yeti knockoff) because I love that it keeps my water cold.

    First pregnancy, decided I want to exclusively pump.. so I’ve been watching so many videos trying to research as much as I can. Girl I’ve bought so much for pumping, cleaning, steam sterilization, boiling.. etc! My mother In law rlly told me I’m buying way too much for pumping when I don’t know yet if I’ll be able to.. not really understanding that because even if I have a hard time building a supply, I’ll work as hard as I have to if it means only producing what he needs! Idk it really pissed me off 😂 my mom is so supportive though! I just feel like it was an unnecessary comment.

      Its always better to be safe than sorry.. buy what you want girl. If you unfortunately end up not being able to you can always rehome what you bought.

    You can also put pump parts in the fridge through the day then wash them at the end of the day, just put them in a container or plastic bag. Though of course, it is nice to have extra on hand.

      You definitely can as long as you don't have a medically fragile baby! It's a time saver for sure.

    Thanks so much for this! I want to switch from nursing to EP sometime in the coming months and your information is so helpful! I just have to get a schedule down. Sometimes I want to pump and then baby boy wakes up or is hungry or I'm too busy with my girls to sit and get the pumping session done. It's sooooo hard juggling pumping and trying to build my stash back up. But I'm going to figure this out. I would love to be able to feed him breast milk until he's turns 2. I have 10 months left. 😳

    Great video! Have you tried the freemie collection cups? They are so easy to just pop in your tank top and pump. They works perfectly with my medela pump and are way more "hands free" than my medela flange/collection set up.I hated having to put a pumping bra on every time I had to pump. Definitely made my life a little easier lol.

    What is included in a day's worth of pump parts?

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  6 лет назад

      I single pumped (meaning one side) so I was able to use one assembled pumping parts and not a set like you would need for double pumping. I had 6-7 flange, 6 connectors, 6 membranes and anything else that my pump needed

    Is it okay to mix coconut oil into the breastmilk? You mentioned about putting coconut oil inside the flange.

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  5 лет назад

      The amount of coconut oil that may get to the milk will be so tiny it's not really a concern unless your child would be allergic. If you're talking about adding coconut oil to breast milk, I'd talk to your child's medical team first!

    Ok I need a new bottle brush... I do not like the munchkin brand and I have had the dr Browns I have not found my favorite yet. I do not remember which one you recommended I tried using the link on this video and amazon says they are not available right now. I want to add one to my registry

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  5 лет назад +1

      OXO is my favorite!!

  • @wf2018
    @wf2018 6 лет назад

    I always check your Amazon Shop too, and already bought off it from your recommendations! 👍
    Not sure if you still answer here, since the video is a year old?
    I checked into the recommended OXO bottle brush, and saw you tried a bunch and this one is your favorite. Other reviews on Amazon that posted pictures showed the brush getting "flat" on the top very quick.
    I was wondering, have you tried the Playtex SmartSpace Baby Bottle Brush? smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FZGLPDA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    That one has bristles that are "wide" on top, it gets in all corners and I have been using it every single day (multiple times) for 5 months, (and not very gently😅), and it still doesn't look that bad - also the little "nipple brush" inside is awesome; wide, with many bristles, good for wider nipples (like the Playtex, I think "Natural Latch" is the name) and ESPECIALLY great for cleaning pump parts, for example the tunnel of flanges on the Spectra.
    I just thought maybe you didn't come across this brush yet. 🤔
    Thank you so much for all your videos, tips and inspiration!!

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  7 лет назад +1

      +Stephanie Rodriguez After every single use🙂 I used to only wash them if I got a considerable amount of milk on them but with getting thrush I’m in the routine of washing them a lot more now

    The problem with the Lansinoh battery operated pump is that it doesn’t work. I’ve tried using many different batteries and none of them work. The pump works at about 40% when using batteries and also does not last very long. Waste of time. I wish I never bought that pump. I bought it for the battery option and doesn’t work.

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  5 лет назад

      I’d contact the company to see if they could send you a replacement because that absolutely should not be the case. My pumps have never had any change between wall adapter and batteries. I could get easily an hour and half of usage out of battery operation. They have excellent customer service so again, I’d reach out momma!
