Ikr. Jess wanted her to be whatever she wanted, he had the same interests as her, both their dads left them as a baby, and Jess actually treated her right. No he didn’t give her princess treatment. He treated her like his best friend with the bonus of kissing. Dean wanted her to be a housewife like Lindsay. Dean honestly couldn’t relate to her at all. All they ever talked about is how cute they are and then they kissed.
He was a brat. People just like his actor. They keep saying "but Jess had great character development and Rory just got worse.." She is growing up, she can't be the town angel forever. Yes, her growth is messy and she hurts a lot of people but Jess did so much worse. He shit on everyone who tried to help him and acted like he was the victim. He was constantly mocking Luke, when Luke stood up for him when his own parents didn't want anything to do with him. He is a bad boyfriend, he is continually gaslighting Rory, making her feel on edge because no one knows what will set him off, he even tried to pressure her into having sex just because he was feeling sorry for himself, and tried to blame her for it. He keeps making vulgar jokes about his girlfriend's mother and didn't even bother treating her respectfully for Rory's sake. Lorelai did try to reach out to him several times. And then he had the gall to come back and ask Rory to give up everything for him and run away with him to God knows where AFTER HE DITCHED HER AND RAN AWAY WITHOUT EVEN TELLING HER. Its lucky Rory is not an idiot or he might really have ruined her life. Rory was actually a great girlfriend to him, she never pulled half the shit on him that she pulled with Dean and Logan. And then he returns after a million years, and shows some character growth and the audience just melts.

It was an unorthodox way to meet with their soulmates since she was with Dean but it happened and it was MESSY. He did have great character development and she went backwards instead but I just can't with the way he's always looking at her, even after all those years in the reunion. I kept trying to put myself in Rory's shoes and I don't think I could forgive him. I wouldn't become a two timing ho sleeping with taken guys but yeah..🤣

The producers of GG have actually revealed that they planned to have Jess be in the final episodes of the last season (so, Rory was supposed to end up with Jess in the end) only Milo Ventimiglia didn't get to film for the last episodes. So this actually makes me feel better knowing that the original intent of the writers was to have them together (and that's why they didn't have her engaged to Logan).I like to think she and Jess get reunited somehow after she got on that bus.

In the reboot they set it up perfectly so that Rory has the same life as her mom. Has a kid with the rich guy who always shows up but is never the one, while the local guy is the one supporting her but she never sees it. I really hated the ending. And in the end they made Rory a terrible person where Jess was too good for her.

Later he proved to be a good guy who cared for her so much. I really think Rory would have become a better person with him. Logan had her on a string like a stupid puppet....I hated that. I could go on a while rant about Rory and Jess and how with time and therapy they could’ve been it by the end or year in a life 😭 In one of the later seasons when he showed up and she was with Logan :0 that scene where he says “this isn’t you, Rory!” Always has me tearing up. Man loves her with everything in him, but just wants her to know she’s slipping and she needs to find herself again.
I’m the kinda girl that would have said “you have a funny way of showing that” and walked away. I don’t remember this part to well but going off her speech she needs to walk away. A) because if she decides that one line is enough to undo the hurt it says she’s desperate to be loved and she’d endure anything just to be loved which opens her up for many cruel and poor life decisions. B) she needs dignity and self respect. But that’s just me

Why does this make me wanna cry, Jess was so perfect and after Jess, Logan came and stuffed up Rory’s life. I mean he was a good guy but Yale went bye bye because of him and his family (she cared less about school with him) and she never was herself after that and only Jess and Lorelei could really say that her life wasn’t going to well. Team Jess for life.

And he follows her motions to the tee as she's moving when they show his face for the first time here. He just bites his lip, recognizing how she's feeling, and listens without a word.
I could go on a while rant about Rory and Jess and how with time and therapy they could’ve been it by the end or year in a life 😭
In one of the later seasons when he showed up and she was with Logan :0 that scene where he says “this isn’t you, Rory!” Always has me tearing up. Man loves her with everything in him, but just wants her to know she’s slipping and she needs to find herself again.
I’m the kinda girl that would have said “you have a funny way of showing that” and walked away. I don’t remember this part to well but going off her speech she needs to walk away. A) because if she decides that one line is enough to undo the hurt it says she’s desperate to be loved and she’d endure anything just to be loved which opens her up for many cruel and poor life decisions. B) she needs dignity and self respect. But that’s just me
