We did this tour yesterday, with a female guide. It was interesting, especially the maintenance hangar (no photos allowed there). I would say that if you want to video aircraft landing/taking off, or even generally, remember there is a loud commentary by the guide which is almost constant so that will affect the results. Also the bus does park quite close to the active runway, but you are not allowed to leave it so have to video or photograph from inside..again not ideal. Serious plane spotting is better done from the dedicated area on the North side of the runway, this is also closer than where the bus stops. The security check before leaving is the same as for flying, except for the drinks being allowed through.
