He created such a legendary character out of such an ordinary model it was insane imho.
For me, I was so in it for his previous model fully since the beginning. The reference sheet were insane and detailed. It wasn't ordinary at all to me. I was so looking forward for more lore or official rendition of it 😭
So, basically, that last one left him with a super unsatisfactory result on the potential he thought he could achieve. And he's trying to tackle it again from another angle, now that he have some experiences and connections huh.

Thanks a lot for the long clip! I hope Lando does got to a counsellor or a therapist, specifically because he's bound by confidentiality. Having baggage that he can't discuss and process is obviously hard, so talking through and feeling those emotions in a confidential setting with expert guidance could help. And if I may overshare for a bit, I've been talking to a counsellor to sort through all the problems that I've accumlated since childhood. Progress is incredibly slow and I don't know if I'll ever reach a point where I can be the normal person I want to be. But being able to (gradually) recall past events without overwhelming anger/sadness/despair is... somewhat liberating - and I hope Lando will be able to feel that relief too.
i think that it's the feeling of "i know i could have done that better, but people didn't think that way and still think that i failed", it makes him angry and now he wants to prove that he can do it, for him and all other people.

Thank you very much for the clip! Although no details were dropped, I feel like I finally got some closure as well. I think in the end, he's angry about the "what could have been" and that he never got to explore this character to the end. In a way, I understand that, as I had to give up on passion projects as well and get angry whenever I think about the what ifs. I hope him giving vtubing another try will let him beat his demons, and finally get to do the creative things he wanted to.

He probably just preferred streaming rather than that part of the job.
While it might not have worked out the way he thought it was going to, at least he didn't end up with that black company who's been repeatedly in the leg for the last 2 months.
as someone who became a fan of his from when he was doing the other thing, i'm really excited to see him get a vtuber model made!! him explaining how the true story of what happened is not what we think and there's a lot of pent up emotions and anger meant a lot to hear, even if we will never know the full story. i remember back then i felt quite sad, and slighty bitter about it if im being honest. but him finally touching on it means a lot. ill support you prof
yeah i was bitter about it for a while too but over time I got over it and it was for the best I think. learned a lesson to not put too many eggs in one basket and to realize these guys have their own lives to live and i cant control that.

So I was hoping this video would bring some sort of closure for myself, and I would say it didn't. Not that it wasn't enlightening/appreciated, but like Lando said, "You'll never know." And that's okay. I do wish I could know, if only for closure sake, but there are many things in life that don't have satisfying or happy endings. That being said, I am glad that Lando is taking another run at Vtubing. He definitely has a knack for it, and I'm excited to see the freedom that comes from being an Indie. I do like the corporate structure of generations, mostly for the themes and collaborations that come from that. But then at the same time, the fact that the talents are restricted on what they can say, who they can collab with, and what they look like; does sort of sour the experience when I think about it too much. Lando himself said it best, Vtubing is playing a character. Nothing wrong with that, even most streamers have a different persona while streaming. But if being an Indie means that Lando is able to be more authentic to himself, then I'm all for it. I will always miss the sense of brotherhood that came along with a generation of Vtubers debuting together, like they "belonged" together. But based on Lando's trip to Japan, those bonds are unbreakable. And who knows, never say never. I know the circumstances are different, but the fact that Doki collaborated with Han-Byeol and Lloyd gives me hope, maybe one day. 🩵🧡💜🩶
A huge part of what made his Vtubing amazing was the chemistry he had with his friends, not the goofy models they were dealt with, not the vtubing itself. What really made it stand out was the bond the four of them had and then this bond was sheared in half abruptly. To this day with ALL of the new generations of Vtubers and such have NEVER even gotten close to how close the original four were. You can tell that the newer gens are work buddies and don't have the same comradery that they had or how Myth had their comradery. I remember Lando saying in his past form that he wasn't expecting to find a group of friends in his generation but was genuinely surprised at how much he enjoyed the other boys' presence. That company had struck gold with their male branch and now that a chunk of the pillar is removed, the male branch is now all but abandoned.
oh no. just when i got used to his flesh form. But, I think Lando will create an amazing character. I have a feeling it will unlock his full potential. Just think of all the possible merch he could create! I can't wait to see his vtuber alter ego.

Gramps had fights with his superiors so he might’ve gotten axed and professor followed him out. I don’t think any of these theories tell close to the full story

Nothing made me happier than hearing he finally decided to take these roles, especially after the events of last year. I know he had talked about it during Offkai, especially with joking about how he was the only fleshtuber amongst all these Vtubers. Hell, I remember asking him if his model would be a femboy wwww. I have friends that enjoy anime but absolutely want nothing to do with vtubers. He knows that there are folks who can't blend the mediums and will leave. As IntenseFoolishness put it, I see it as a promise to not expect the base to blindly support him, and to potentially treat it like a big reset button.

Your therapist cannot legally share what's been said outside of informing law enforcement of criminal activity. A court would have to subpoena them. It is protected info and it is in their own best interest to not disclose anything. You are supposed to have full confidence. So yes, it is generally fine to talk about NDA stuff unless you're dealing with state secrets.
I was thinking that Prof's new future VTuber persona could potentially make him able to collab with the "boys" (in company or irl) but probably not because some circumstances. One can only hope.
i mean tbf he collabed with them irl bunch of times too but he has the creativity, and now no rules binding him, to be an incredible vtuber if he wanted to.
I really wonder what his anger is directed towards. Is it internal? Is he mad at himself for things he did or didn't do, anger borne of regret? Or is he angry at a person/persons/an organization? A huge part of what made his Vtubing amazing was the chemistry he had with his friends, not the goofy models they were dealt with, not the vtubing itself. What really made it stand out was the bond the four of them had and then this bond was sheared in half abruptly. To this day with ALL of the new generations of Vtubers and such have NEVER even gotten close to how close the original four were. You can tell that the newer gens are work buddies and don't have the same comradery that they had or how Myth had their comradery. I remember Lando saying in his past form that he wasn't expecting to find a group of friends in his generation but was genuinely surprised at how much he enjoyed the other boys' presence. That company had struck gold with their male branch and now that a chunk of the pillar is removed, the male branch is now all but abandoned.

@@louissanchez6864 i wanna keep it respectful, but certain people don’t like gramps so its possible he left because of that and professor followed him, another is that the pay simply wasn’t high enough and both of them just had more lucrative careers to focus on. Gramps had fights with his superiors so he might’ve gotten axed and professor followed him out. I don’t think any of these theories tell close to the full story
Now here's the question why did they apply and join in the first time? Did they research about the company in the first place?

The old place was already the best place you could go for corpo vtubing yet it was to the extent of punching a hole through his gloves. Some people are simply not cut out for corpo, some are and i can see he's much suited indie

I think with everything he said he made it pretty obvious that both him and Randon got wronged in some way that led to a situation where they couldn't see the possibility of moving on anymore. This is all we will ever know. I wish them all the best.
Nothing made me happier than hearing he finally decided to take these roles, especially after the events of last year. I know he had talked about it during Offkai, especially with joking about how he was the only fleshtuber amongst all these Vtubers. Hell, I remember asking him if his model would be a femboy wwww. Also kinda surprising bc that con was shortly before AX, which was near the big event that happened.

I have friends that enjoy anime but absolutely want nothing to do with vtubers. He knows that there are folks who can't blend the mediums and will leave.

Your therapist cannot legally share what's been said outside of informing law enforcement of criminal activity. A court would have to subpoena them. It is protected info and it is in their own best interest to not disclose anything. You are supposed to have full confidence. So yes, it is generally fine to talk about NDA stuff unless you're dealing with state secrets.
I was thinking that Prof's new future VTuber persona could potentially make him able to collab with the "boys" (in company or irl) but probably not because some circumstances. One can only hope.

I really wonder what his anger is directed towards. Is it internal? Is he mad at himself for things he did or didn't do, anger borne of regret? Or is he angry at a person/persons/an organization? Or is he angry at forces completely out of his control?
