Unironically Dungeon Meshi is one of my favorite Animus/Mangos of all time. I loved the LAIOS WE HAVE TO COOK silly stuff but it just goes off the rails in a good way and becomes a fantasy epic with world ending horrors and literal existential nightmares/threats. unironically if you don't like the goofy cooking stuff then it gets good after like 9 or 10 episodes. But you should like the goofy cooking stuff too.
Such a lovely opening episode! Loved the cute lil opening! Less than five minutes in and I was already grinning like an idiot before it evolved into full-fledged laughter (at 11PM)! You both bounce off each other so naturally and it made everything feel so cozy and warm! Honestly felt like I was in the room with y'all just watching in amusement. About the anime conversation, I’ve also found myself having the same issue. As I’ve gotten older I find it harder and harder to connect with anime I don’t have a nostalgic connection to. Connor is so right, anime has a formula a lot of the time, and the repetitiveness of seasonal anime doesn’t appeal to me like it used to. After enjoying the podcast listening on Spotify prior I stand by my review on X. The animations and having the visual experience on set just adds to the feeling of hanging out with you two. I am still in stitches and smiling as I am having my breakfast. It's super HQ and yes I agree that if someone says "I'll swing over" I would assume they were heading over and wait at the door until the last possible moment. That being said I love how natural everything is and your humor. It's definitely a 5 star experience.
This was a fun chat and happy to hear from Kein again! The production is phenomenal. I- don’t think I’ve watched anime since before the pandemic. If you don’t like something from the start, I say just don’t bother - there’s no point forcing yourself, when time is limited enough as it is. Go do something you’ll actually enjoy! (Caveat, I don’t really care for trends or what’s popular though.) The ending… got me good LOL.

The smell thing is true, certain areas of the park even have specific smells (usually food related to influence purchases of treats as well as immersion, beignet smell in the new tiana ride queue comes to mind), they also pump smell in on certain rides (notable ex. the holiday overlay for the haunted mansion has a gingerbread smell pumped in the ballroom scene, the orange smell during the part of soarin' over the orange orchard), and while I've never exp the resorts I've heard resort lobbies have specific scents as well, besides the smell machines theres also things like the way water rides like pirates have a specific smell from the use of bromine in the water which is neat, the nostalgic smell of old building and AC

I can definitely relate to struggling with social interaction. This one time I was at a coffee shop and when I got my order the barista commented something about my jacket (it's decorated with various pins and patches) and I wasn't prepared for a social interaction so I hadn't really listened to what they said and I just smiled and went away with my order. I said to my husband who was with me when it happened that I had no idea what they said to me and I started to panic because I didn't even think to ask them to repeat themselves and I was frustrated that I missed an opportunity to gain some social exp. Apparently the barista had said something along the lines of "nice pins and patches" or whatever. I just panicked and practically ran away.
This was a great first episode! So many topics popped up, you kept a good rhythm and went from one thing to another smoothly but most important of all you guys really do have a good synergy and we can clearly see that here! I am kinda with Connor on the "Swing by" discussion, coz the way Lando phrased it sounded like an invitation to the cafe, and Connor thought "I'll swing by the cafe" so he wrote what he wrote
Wonderful first episode, loved everything from beginning to end! The opening with the little song and animation is so cool, the animation was so smooth and the song catchy! Barely started listening and was already laughing so hard, seeing you both grin is infectuous! You two have great synergy together, being able to create such engaging banter - it made it feel like I was coming along for the ride, sitting there watching you bounce off each other. Topic wise there is so much to cover, I'm still not over the first one about "swinging by" as a phrase; it piqued my curiosity as someone who has studied translation/languages. Along the way, the phrase formed such a vivid, silly image in my mind of "swinging by the end destination" in a manner of getting on a catapult and being yeeted. The rest was a mix of very relatable stories as well as stuff that made you raise your head in question, such as the Disney smell machines or driving a car into Target if there was a way to do it. The more you know! Loved the small Disney movie section, you both have great tastes in movies! That said, Lando's great at telling stories, he has a way of making you want to listen until the end. Very much enjoyed the section with viewer submitted questions, too! How has Connor never had a smoothie in his entire life, he's missing out on greatness. Also love the premise of crowning the winner after everything is done, Lando rightfully won this round. I loved the LAIOS WE HAVE TO COOK silly stuff but it just goes off the rails in a good way and becomes a fantasy epic with world ending horrors and literal existential nightmares/threats. unironically if you don't like the goofy cooking stuff then it gets good after like 9 or 10 episodes. But you should like the goofy cooking stuff too.

Such a lovely opening episode! Loved the cute lil opening! Less than five minutes in and I was already grinning like an idiot before it evolved into full-fledged laughter (at 11PM)! You both bounce off each other so naturally and it made everything feel so cozy and warm! Honestly felt like I was in the room with y'all just watching in amusement. Banter's top-tier and it's such a treat being able to see and hear how cheery you make each other! Thanks for this and I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes!

About the anime conversation, I’ve also found myself having the same issue. As I’ve gotten older I find it harder and harder to connect with anime I don’t have a nostalgic connection to. Connor is so right, anime has a formula a lot of the time, and the repetitiveness of seasonal anime doesn’t appeal to me like it used to. Maybe I should start reading manga too, seems like the perfect in between! Looking forward to what the podcast will bring in the future!! Loved the first episode y’all! 🙏🏻🧡

The best thing about things like the "I'll swing by" situation is that Connor is the type to not remember or overthink something like that at all, literally the second he's sent the text he's forgotten it exists and Lando is the exact opposite, he'll not only overthink it, but remember and analyze it for the rest of his life.

After enjoying the podcast listening on Spotify prior I stand by my review on X. The animations and having the visual experience on set just adds to the feeling of hanging out with you two. I am still in stitches and smiling as I am having my breakfast. It's super HQ and yes I agree that if someone says "I'll swing over" I would assume they were heading over and wait at the door until the last possible moment. That being said I love how natural everything is and your humor. It's definitely a 5 star experience.

I- don’t think I’ve watched anime since before the pandemic. If you don’t like something from the start, I say just don’t bother - there’s no point forcing yourself, when time is limited enough as it is. Go do something you’ll actually enjoy! (Caveat, I don’t really care for trends or what’s popular though.)

Congratulations you guys! The jingle at the beginning is so cute! Nowhere did it feel like you guys were first-timers at a podcast. The conversations were well paced and interesting, you guys turned mundane and awkward situations that we can relate to into hilarious narratives and of course, personally, I get to see my two favourite streamer boys interact and laugh with each other and have a good time. The smell thing is true, certain areas of the park even have specific smells (usually food related to influence purchases of treats as well as immersion, beignet smell in the new tiana ride queue comes to mind), they also pump smell in on certain rides (notable ex. the holiday overlay for the haunted mansion has a gingerbread smell pumped in the ballroom scene, the orange smell during the part of soarin' over the orange orchard), and while I've never exp the resorts I've heard resort lobbies have specific scents as well, besides the smell machines theres also things like the way water rides like pirates have a specific smell from the use of bromine in the water which is neat, the nostalgic smell of old building and AC

I'm with Lando on the "swing by" topic. Thinking about it, I understand where connor is coming from, I think. "wanna go to the cafe? "ok, I can swing by." (nonverbatim) makes me assume that connor was going to visit the cafe for a short period of time and meet Lando there. but because he said, "I can swing by?" with a question mark, that makes me think he's asking for permission to swing by your place, because what other reason would you have to ask to swing by? lol

I can definitely relate to struggling with social interaction. This one time I was at a coffee shop and when I got my order the barista commented something about my jacket (it's decorated with various pins and patches) and I wasn't prepared for a social interaction so I hadn't really listened to what they said and I just smiled and went away with my order. I said to my husband who was with me when it happened that I had no idea what they said to me and I started to panic because I didn't even think to ask them to repeat themselves and I was frustrated that I missed an opportunity to gain some social exp. Apparently the barista had said something along the lines of "nice pins and patches" or whatever. I just panicked and practically ran away.

Wonderful first episode, loved everything from beginning to end! The opening with the little song and animation is so cool, the animation was so smooth and the song catchy! Barely started listening and was already laughing so hard, seeing you both grin is infectuous! You two have great synergy together, being able to create such engaging banter - it made it feel like I was coming along for the ride, sitting there watching you bounce off each other.
Topic wise there is so much to cover, I'm still not over the first one about "swinging by" as a phrase; it piqued my curiosity as someone who has studied translation/languages. Along the way, the phrase formed such a vivid, silly image in my mind of "swinging by the end destination" in a manner of getting on a catapult and being yeeted. The rest was a mix of very relatable stories as well as stuff that made you raise your head in question, such as the Disney smell machines or driving a car into Target if there was a way to do it. The more you know! Loved the small Disney movie section, you both have great tastes in movies! That said, Lando's great at telling stories, he has a way of making you want to listen until the end. Very much enjoyed the section with viewer submitted questions, too! How has Connor never had a smoothie in his entire life, he's missing out on greatness. Also love the premise of crowning the winner after everything is done, Lando rightfully won this round.
