My hubby found out in July 2023, with multiple Myeloma, second cancer diagnosis in less than 5 years. This cancer has no cure but it gives you more time. May God bless you and your family.
I am a myeloma survivor 5 full years. It was very hard personally and mentally. Apart from having a good doctor, you must not let go of your faith. Faith is the power of this evel. I live without thinking of this disease in me. I went through transplant, then remission. I am now on secondline treatments. That is what keeping me from relapsing. Have faith
My Husband of 45 years in marriage, was just diagnosis with Multiple Myeloma in July, on his 70th Birthday. Tomorrow is oral chemo, and infusion, there is no cure at Stage 3, with this cancer there is no Stage 4. Im terrified for him, this was his second cancer diagnosis within 5 years. We are hopeful, praying is what we need, may God bless anyone going through this trauma.
Your story is told clearly, and I appreciate you for sharing your Mutiple Myeloma story. My daughter will be getting a Stem Cell Transplant in August. She will turn 50 in August. Thank you for sharing. It helps me understand the important things she must go through. May God continue to bless you.
I have amyloidosis and have had 6 months of chemotherapy, and I will be going through stem cell transplant in July. My biggest concerns so far are getting a port and losing my hair. You have been an inspiration. You are absolutely beautiful bald. Thank you for sharing your story.
Hi, my hubby is going to have transplant end of this month. He is very optimistic. He has had treatment since beginning of January. Hope you have a great outcome. Your hair will grow back don’t worry. Be positive 🙏🏻
Thanks for this video..has helped me..Im awaiting a date for stem cell transplant. You look gorgeous without your hair ❤ I shaved mine off as it was falling out but love it bald now and wear scarves in the hot sun. People notice other things about you..you have the best smile xx
I have had MGUS for 18 plus yrs. This is a precursor for Multiple Myeloma. I am scheduled for a bone marrow and Pet scan or MRI this coming January. Hopefully everything is status quo.
Godspeed! The bone marrow aspiration is painful. If sedation is an option do go for it. Due to your age try to push for a collection at least. That way if it develops to MM you have your own cells that can use. Otherwise the chemo regimens for conditioning may be very tough or take time.
This is a beautiful video. I was just diagnosed with MM and I am grateful having it found early, GOD BLOCKED IT. Just completed my first cycle of chemo, 3 more months to go, and I also have to have a total hip surgery so praying I can get that before the cell transplant... But I am grateful for your story... I know GOD did what HE did for a reason...
Your voice matters, too: 👇

Hey, does anyone know of anyone who's hair has not grown back after chemo/stem cell re-introduction?

It is interesting how important hair is to our ego
I think you would look great with blond hair!
This story is sad but not told well. Hard to follow and therefore hard to place empathy. But good luck anyway ❤
