Great review and a very good demonstration of accuracy and precision when the basics are done well. Easily the best review on this firearm. Highlighted the items one needs to be aware to get optimum performance. Too many you tubers follow the herd rather than think an "issue" through.
Had a play with one at IWA, fell in love. Obviously, the only thing you can't test is how it actually shoots, seeing a review from a fellow brit is very encouraging! Time to get that variation in...
With so many AR-15s out there and all the aftermarket support I'm surprised they didn't design the receiver and the bolt be able to use an AR-15 M16 barrel and the barrel nut and might have made it so they could have mounted the handguard a bit more secure
Thank you for the review. I recently bought the gun and put a 3x prismic sight on it. I shot this gun without a bipod on a bench having really good groups and becaus it is extremly lighweight you can shot it without support standing and still hit pretty good at 100m. Tbh, best investment since a very long time. The only downside is that the stock only really locks at the last position. If you have it further in you will pull it further out while handling the bolt.
@@redmudpei I use the Vortex Spitfire II 3x. Eye relief works for me with fully extended stock. Cheek on the metal not on the rest but works just fine for me.
Neat little rifle package. There are pros and cons to STANAG mag compatibility. Would like a longer mag for heavy projectiles, but the rifle isn’t designed for that with that length barrel either. Thanks! -Isaac 223rd Like by the way!
For the heavier 5.56 rounds the optimal barrel length is 20 in with a one-in-seven twist so the only other barrel length be good for that rifle would be a 20 inch barrel
I actually got too pick one one of these up in the sportsman, and as a lover of carbines I love this and may in the future invest in one , but probably would prefer the 7.62x39 but there’s none about yet , a cracking cal for this rifle would be the 6.5 grendel
You've sold me on the rifle ,it was a choice of Ruger American ranch, Mossberg MVP LC or howa 1500 oryx or this , I intend to shoot civilian service rifle at bisley with it,all the best from sunny Troon 😊
Jep that was my other Choice would be a nice Fungun but i have the 600 Ergo in 223 now and yes it is fun to shoot my first around hundred Rounds are through the Barrel i have now 3 different Bullets tested for reloads that have the same point of impact and groupsize 5 shots at 100m at round about 13-15mm (Barnes TTSX 50gn, LOS Hunter 52gn and Hornady VMax 53gn) think my next test will be something heavier propably i find the golden Combo for this gun like in my Steel Action in 308 which is around 10mm 5 shots when i have a good day 😉 it is allways room to improve 😀
People are going to be putting surplus and cheap fmj ammo through it for plinking, and 2moa is pretty much superb with that kind of ammo - and CZ likely suspected a lot of cheap ammo is going to be put through this rifle and changed their stated moa knowing this. Good review, haven't seen these in Canada yet, but should show up soon.
AR-15 I didn't think you were allowed to have those in Great Britain least not to semi automatic variant I heard they just worked like straight pull bolt action
@@MrWakeview when it comes to advise on firearms I never take it from the British there's two things Americans know and do the best that is pickup trucks and firearms
ever since CZ gained popularity in USA, the quality and style has been totally mutilated into a junk American style, instead of the classic amazing CZ that used to be. it is the originality, quality and style of the 452, 527 etc. that set it apart from the rest. what is replacing the classic 527 now... not a 600, thats for sure.
@@chrisparkin431 I like the AR mag compatibility, they are cheap and easy to get. Everything else CZ I have has relatively expensive and hard to get mags, so it'd be nice to be able to use cheap/available mags for once!
Watched a dozen reviews, you are the only one who took th e time to find out how to improve the zero, scope mount, suppressor, awesome.

I really liked the enthusiasm with which you showed this rifle to us, yep that’s probably going to be my next rifle, thanks.

This is the only model of the 600 lineup that I could see myself interested in. It IMO is a perfect little gun for hunting coyote.

Thanks for the review on the trail. Which optic were you leveraging on it?
I seem to remember i used it with a PARD 008 for hunting and the videos shows Element Optics TITAN on the screen if you watch
There is a 20 inch version of this as well.
Hi. What mount are you using to show the optics to be mounted further back?

Do you think that glass bedding or pillar bedding would improve the accuracy?
Not in this case because it's a fundamentally different kind of structure

Hello Chris
Please tell me what full height rifle tripod system you are using
Thanks
The Bog tripod is on my channel if you want to see a full review
@@chrisparkin431 thanks 👍
did you had case denting after closing the bolt on a loaded magazine?
no
Hi Chris..just wondering- can that cheek rest be moved over to the other side for use that shoot off left shoulder? Cheers mate
No
@@chrisparkin431 thank you for the response 👍
Can it hold 80mm at 200m in cold (below -20C) weather?
It's not that cold in the UK so I cannot test that
@@chrisparkin431 Understandable, and there's no comment about this from CZ?
Could the cheekpiece switched to the right side for lefties?
No
Was thinking that myself...
Nice tripod
I wonder what model it is.
(Sigh) When the hell is CZ going to release the 7.62x39 version? Never? 🤨
By now they did. Even in .300 Blackout.
I actually bought one in 7.62x39 but had CZ refund me for what I paid for it. Fkn thing wouldn't accept the Bren 2 30 round magazines. 😠😑
@@juncho1977 understandable. The reviews on this rifle are mixed anyways...
But be happy. Here in Europe where I live 30 rounders got banned.

Its neither an AR15 or semi auto LOL

I want one. I almost guarantee there will be replacement stocks for that rifle, which may address some of the niggles.
