I have been absolutely floored by Yuta performance, he's what I call a fundamentally sound player that does little bit of everything. Can't believe Toronto let him walk, you gotta love his his hustle & energy on the court night in and night out! Japan REPRESENT!! 🙌🇯🇵
Yuta Watanabe has been a big part of Brooklyn bench and he's worked very hard to put himself in that position 😎

Yuta is a solid role player BUT Toronto is stacked at the wing position with 2-way wing players with length that are much better than Yuta on both ends of the floor (i.e., Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barns, OG Anunoby, Chris Boucher etc.). Which one of those players is Yuta better than that would take their minutes??? He only fits on the Nets because the Nets were obviously STARVING for even a decent wing player with length instead of midgets like Cam, Patty etc. While Toronto is lacking in other positions including having a true superstar, it's definitely not at the wing position. You guys need to learn about the rosters of other teams before making nonsensical comments. I'm very happy for Yuta but he would never touch the court in Toronto for the reasons I stated so they don't regret letting him go.
@@smokesmitty1 You're conveniently forgetting about Siakam, Barns and OG all of whom are much better than Yuta! Even Bucher is a much better overall player than Yuta. Yuta doesn't have to do much on the Nets to be successful and that's only because of superstars like KD and Kyrie that takes all the attention where he's wide open all the time like the other role players. He would not be even close to being as useful on the majority of NBA teams that don't have the luxury of having 2 superstars like KD and Kyrie that allow the role players like Yuta to freely roam around and consistently take easy shots.
@@briannoble1022 bud the raptors didn't see the full potential Brooklyn did in him. Not to mention Kevin Durant has enjoyed Yutas hard work, improvement on defense and ability to be an energy rod to jolt up the team.

Replacing Steve Nash is a right decision
When Yuta said. " getting some minutes, playing with the greats" That humble voice of a journey men player getting on the floor with KD and Kyrie, winning in the NBA, it made it seem so real to me. And the end there with Kylian Mbappe watching Kyrie's jam with his teammates on the big screen, living the dream!
I’m Japanese, and I haven’t have no interests of basketball, nba, nets… But watching the highlight that Watanabe took, now I love this team, this sports.

People always talk about Yuta 3 point percentage only because he get wide open, but if you really look at those shots, some of them not really that wide open at all, not to mention there are lots of player can’t even hit those wide open shots, so is Yuta the best 3 point shooter out there, definitely not, but doesn’t means he don’t deserve all the attention and appreciation, just because you think wide open 3 point shots is not that difficult!!
I have seen enough, Vaughn should never be replaced, permanent nets coach until he retires. The way he brings the team together is such an important trait of his coaching that most other coaches don't have, and the trust and his ability to build up his players is outstanding. COTY for sure

Firing Nash was a big metaphorical step forward. It's true that in the last two seasons they had a good record, there was so much drama, not to mention Nash's inexperience at being a coach really started to show. I feel bad for him, but with his firing, all the past could be put behind them. I mean, I think any coach would have been better for the nets but JV really proved himself.
Yeah it's true they needed to move on from Nash just for the sake of vibes. He lost his voice in the locker room (if he ever had one) and you can't win when your coach doesn't have any influence over his players to hold them accountable

As a fan I feel teary, for 3 season this is the best shot we have, we have a lot of talent even before but now, the cohesiveness and the vibes are definitely different,way way better, it's been a rollercoaster in Kd and KY era but now it's all ball game, and i'm happy, proud and excited for what to come , way to go but definitely this season will be a different ride for us fan. The Pacers game is the game I definitely enjoyed. Despite having 7-8 players unavailable, the Nets showed that anyone can step up and have a big game. I don't want Kyrie to miss games, but heck, I'd know Cam would always be ready to take that explosive guard duties when Kyrie may need to take that short rest.
