- guys, I'm going to need happiness for more than just five seconds of my life, you feel me?? we started off so strong with that phone call, it was giving me all the feels, I was swooning. Wille joined the choir and Simon was so happy and giggly and I was swooning. Wille stuck up for Simon and DROPPED august, and I was SWOONING. anyway. that song that Simon posted 😭 guys, I love him. I really love him, he's so pure. and revolution!? I'm so sorry, I'm losing it over here. anyway, I thought this camping trip would bring so much fun and happiness and it did, but of course, we had to end with a fight and now that phone call, WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR FUTURE!? I'm scared 🩶

I think Wille was trying to diffuse the tension and include Rosh and Ayub in the group somehow, because Fredrika had just talked about travelling and all, so he tried find some common ground between them. And I truly think in his mind it's the same, because it's also some kind of work and it's also something he has to do, even if it isn't for money. I can understand why he mentioned it, but I can also understand why Simon didn't like it. I think it was one of those situations where they both failed to understand where the other one was coming from. The shushing was wild though! Though I'm pretty sure Wille's parents have done the same to him several times, maybe his brother as well, so he's just reproducing this. The way he was worried people would hear them is also very telling of the way he was raised.
You are right, Edvin confirmed that in a tweet answering a fan, that the shushing was reproduced behavior of how Wille has been always shushed by his mother so that people wouldn't hear them fighting and the way he's been raised to always keep up appearances.
yes! I totally agree with everything here! I see why Wille brought up the 'work' thing, trying to make conversation and relate to them and I also think that simon was also valid in why he was upset about it but again, they weren't really hearing each other out and seeing it from the other's perspective! 🩶
I was fuming when that “shush” happened. If I was Simon in that moment we would have really been fighting then. I feel like Wilhelm was channeling his mother in that moment. Also, all the people bullying Simon online, on the bus, sending religious pamphlets to his house, need to get their asses kick.
right!? simon handled that SO much better than I probably would have!! I totally agree with it being a learned behavior from the way he was treated by his mom but it felt so personal 🤣
I think you forgot about Wille's dad's call at the end... It's crazy how Wille's dad basically sais to his teenaged son that because his mom is very, very sad Wille has to be strong and be ready to take over some of her duties. Well guess what dad, your teenaged son is very, very sad because of Erik too, who is going to be strong for him? 🤯 It's royal duty and the royal roles before everything and it's destoying everyone in that family 💔

According to the newspaper article that Henry reads in ep1, it was a former student who leaked the initiation thing to the press after Wille spoke in his speech about not stubbornly continuing traditions but rather rethinking them. Nils had nothing to do with the leak.

i think something this episode (but this season really emphasises in particular) is that it's the class differences between them (specifically him being the prince) that is a major strain on everything
I would like to thank you for all your reactions bc this is the only way I can watch certain shows (really anything lgbt related bc I’m a teenager so I don’t have my own accounts for things and my family is very slightly homophobic and definitely transphobic so I can’t really watch that stuff without being terrified that they’ll see [heartstopper reactions are especially deeply appreciated bc we don’t have Netflix and bc it’s heavily focused on specific struggles which they don’t like lol. I’m fairly certain I’ve watched all of heartstopper through various reactions but yours are especially nice]) sorry for rambling about my sh!t but the point was that I appreciate you and everyone else I’ve watched shows through vicariously lol
