My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

I'm picturing Stihl, Husqvarna and the other big manufacturers dedicating a team of people to looking at all your videos. Congrats on the notoriety
They do, 100%. Most engineers also use those tools and are no different than a regular user.
there are teams of people looking. Trust me.

Dewalt Disaster!
is any of them really taking care about the Customers, or just profit-maximizing?
NEVER let Husq or ANY OEM pressure you, Chick! You have a solid, loyal following, and you don’t need them…they need YOU! 🇺🇸
I've been working with their power tools and sewing machines and motorcycles for decades, and I want you to know you're the first human being I've *ever* heard pronounce it any way other than "husk-a-VAR-na."
The best engineering comes from people with hands on experience
I went to school for engineering and I fully agree with you. They're a bunch of nerds designing flawless parts with a calculator and no perception of reality. I was hated in group projects because I constantly pointed out design flaws even though the computer model worked. Modern engineering is a modern disaster
You go girl! I so appreciate and respect you for your integrity. If you can help them without selling your soul, well that's a win for everyone.
Just curious what they will tell her in person privately on their turf?
Ditto
Too bad they are just smart enough to not do that with the truth teller.

I hope her husband's health gets better so they can get back to work.
What an awesome opportunity! My biggest concern for any company is that they always place quality above any other concern. I have watched so many companies let quality slide and try to continue doing business based on reputation alone, and it never ends well. You have to re-earn that reputation with every customer interaction.
When quality starts to slip it is usually the result of engineering by accountant.
I believe the term is acceptable quality. Let's take the extreme of quality, the Ford model A frame. The steel composition included a quantity of vanadium. Vanadium is a super additive to steel. It makes it stronger while while making it more flexible (stiffer and more bendable ... yup) and making steel more rust proof. This is why model A frames are still around outside while the rest of the vehicle decayed long ago. Imagine auto mfg's still using vanadium in all their steel parts. Great for the consumer, until the companies went bankrupt due to the fulfilled market. Then, you couldn't buy replacement parts which broke before the rest of the car because the business scale was unprofittable for any sized companies.
What's important is NOT ADOPTING the chinese business model which is, when it breaks (sooner than later), throw it away because replacement parts were never made AND newer models do not have the same part design. That kills the repair businesses plus, the professional quality products are sold at the non-big box stores.
I have found another chinese business model (zero quality) includes selling incomplete products, then, when discovered, offering a partial refund. The product was non-functional, worthless to me, while the customer service was claiming I was getting great service for my troubles. Buyer beware.
Sony electronics being a prime example. Every Sony product I bought before I wised up failed far sooner than it should have.
@@dbeelee8564 Imagine how well our country would do if we both made and sold all our own items, like we use to. But, that China money ends up in our politicians back pockets and that won't stop. Do you remember the body panels that Ford made from a hemp fiber and plastic?? Claimed they were stronger than steel and much lighter as well; can't sell consumers items that don't break easily though. We are so doomed...
Tell the truth rather than keep up with a lie! What a novel approach to life! There are a few in the lime light and news that could stand to try that for a change!
You are a treasure without a doubt.
For your husband: I've had both a right hip replacement (at age 50 years) and a left hip replacement (at age 67 years) and both changed the trajectory, both physically and mentally, of my life and gave me my life back. After rehab and healing up, I can get down on the ground and do almost every chore I need to do. It took 2-3 months to get completely back to normal so don't get discouraged. I'm extra, extra careful if up on a ladder or step stool. I no longer jump down off a wall or pickup truck bed. I don't run, but can walk really fast. I no longer snow or water ski. I'm too cautious to take chances with those activities. Get the surgery scheduled and done. Do the preop exercises religiously and do ALL of the post-op rehab without fail. Follow all the "hip precautions": they become second nature. Best wishes to you!!!!
My wife got her right hip replaced - it was her first joint replacement and we were both naturally concerned. Getting it done It was the BEST medical decision she could have made. The recovery went smoothly, and relief from the old joint pain came VERY fast. Her shoulder joint replacement recovery took longer, but was also worth it. Everyone I spoke to says that the joint pain relief was immediate, and they were so happy to have joint replacement done.
What a nice surprise for you! It’s pretty awesome you are getting recognition from a major manufacturer and it was super cool of Husky to invite you!!
is it "Husky" or "Hooskee"?
@gregstillman5197 - It depends. Aurgh yu Schvedish or Anglish? Ya, it's Hooshki if ure Schvedish! U betcha!
It makes sense that Husqvarna would turn on the charm ... taking a hard line is a losing position from both a PR position as well as a manufacturer's position. Honest, knowledgeable reviewers are a manufacturer's best friend -- listening to you will help them sell a lot more products.
exactly. i think it's a bad call on her part not taking products for review. im nobody and i get products for reviews and most of the companies want honesty. she should take everything that is offered!
There's always a concern that companies will take extra quality control steps for products provided to reviewers.
So happy for you to be invited from the manufacturer. You will be the perfect ambassador for the small equipment users that have done buisness with for however long you have, which in turn the word will spread to others about the product.
Love your work. Kudos for pronouncing "Husqvarna" so well. 😊👍
Bre, you have a wonderful time at the dispo.
I'm a vet and I've got that ptsd and I have a real problem with crowds. I feel suffocated when im around a bunch of people. I just opened a small engine repair shop here in talladega alabama. I have been using your tutorials as reference and I am gonna do my best to come to Kentucky and at least get a picture with you and shake your hand because I (like husqvarna) like how you don't beat around the bush.
I've been telling everyone about you.
Maybe I can give you one of my shirts and a hat.
Thank you
Congratulations!
I’m just a homeowner mowing my and my mother-in-law’s yard but I love to watch your videos. I try to learn from them.
THANK YOU!!
Your 1 in a billion for not selling your soul
Thank the heaven’s
I Believe this is your calling
Thank You sooooooooo
much
FANTASTIC!!!!! Well deserved.
I love you're video's on almost everything.
You give "constructive" criticism NOT "distructive" criticism.
You call it as it is and you offer practical solutions.
Great work
"destructive" .... and this comment is constructive.
Good luck, and have fun at the show. I’m sure you know more of the right questions to ask than we do, lol. Thanks for keeping it truthful and holding them accountable.
BTW thanks for representing women in this field. Girls can wrench good too!!!!
Hey, I am a 76 year ald Train Dispatcher that has worked on small engines for most of my life, along with my father, and have watched your videos for several years. I have enjoyed you and always find something helpful each time I watch. Keep up the work and the marvelous attitude. From South Carolina.
This is an awesome opportunity!! Looking forward to the follow-up on the tradeshow and how the Husky people treated you.
Congratulations on the invite. I expected to be really mad at Husky after this video, but turns out they made a really smart move. I hope it turns out to be a good partnership.
Truth and facts never need to be defended.
You Go girl ..well deserved !!
Congrats for the recognition. You deserve it. Never feel bad for getting free stuff, some equipment is ridiculously expensive and it would be nice to see you able to review some newer stuff coming out, particularly in this electrified future. As long as you have a contract clause that specifically states your opinions are your own and they can not sue you for stating them, rock on.
Glad to hear they aren’t angry with you but rather want to have you at their booth for the expo! That’s awesome!
Sounds like you’re more than famous now! You’re INfamous!!!
Hi their, We all say it Huskavarna over here in the UK. Great programme. Regards Richard 🇬🇧
I use Husqvarna brush cutters and chain saws and I am mostly satisfied with them, I enjoy your videos and learn so much I did not know about repairs, that has saved me a lot of money over time following your advice. Thanks for all you do.
Enjoy your vids. Just remember: "Everything works if you let it!"
Congratulations! You earned it. I hope they are picking up the tab for your travel and lodging and meals! Can’t wait to hear how it went!
Kudos to both, you and Husqvarna!
A gal that is honest and keeps it real and a company that is concerned with making a quality product and looking for input to try and make that happen!
What a great opportunity for you to be heard and learn!
Enjoy the expo!!
Getting an invite like that is so cool, I know you'll have a great time and lots of great video to post!
Don't change! Love honesty and the real world "this is how it is" approach of your videos😊 Take care/drive careful and have fun!
Congratulations. Proves being honest is the best way to get ahead in life.
Holy crap, woman! Look ay you getting the recognition that you deserve!!! I love this for you!
That's why we're here cause your real and tell it like it is. Keep fighting the good fight.
Interesting to see how this will play out. You've reached a point in popularity where they actually need to address what you are saying about them. They can no longer ignore you and will likely try to convert you to be an advocate or at the very least not an enemy of theirs! Keep up the good work Bre!
Well, you know what they say: Keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer!
I can only say this. I purchased a new Husqvarna TS142 a year ago. It gets a lot of use. And I absolutely love it.
Yeah , glad you are going to the show ! You need to be there, it’s really good news that a large manufacturer listened to you and actually made changes that needed to be done like the bearing , now if all the electric lawn mowers change the blade guide that snaps off to save the motor but we can’t get replacements hopefully they change the design or make replacement parts available. You are doing a fantastic job of repairing the hand tools that us homeowners try to destroy, where would we be without you!
Hell yeah, girl! The big wigs are fans! That's a huge leap in just a few years. You earned it! Keep up the good work!
You have an outstanding channel! Enjoy the trip, you deserve it.
First time seeing your video. Guess because I was looking on how to fix my Husqvarna line trimmer. You are spot on about getting / finding parts. Trying to get parts to fix my father's chainsaw from the 80's. I will need to watch some more of yours.
You work hard and deserve to be recognized. Godspeed on your trip.
You keep doing what you do, you don't sugar coat issues and that's why most of us watch your every post.
Enjoy the show and the recognition!! Can't wait to see and hear about your experience. Safe travels and God Bless.
Nice job congrats!!! Thanks for troubleshooting my gas problem I was wondering why my equipment wasn’t running right only to stumble on the fact that regular gas premixing on my own ran a lot better. You confirmed what I was experiencing!
Fabulous! It's not often that someone like you, who knows the "real world" pros and cons of a manufacturer's designs, gets the chance to give in-person feedback both to their design engineers AND their marketing/management! You go, Girl!!!
You have a great youtube channel and always look forward to them. I am a former big truck mechanic the old school trucks from the 60,70,80. You have taught me a lot and I tell all my friends about you & my mower shop guys that I go to . Wishing you a great time at the show safe travels.
Fellow Arkansan making waves in an industry. Dig it - congrats!
I have my ticket, but I can’t come this year. Going to Flordia to help my sister. It is a great show. I only live about two hours away. Have fun. It is mind overloading.
Congrats on getting recognized internationally!! Also a tip of the toque (yeah I'm Canadian) for pronouncing Husqvarna correctly!!! Way to go!!
If she is able to pronounce Jonsered like a Swede I’d be super impressed.
Most non-Swedes aren’t even close!
It will be a great trip! Ask them to make their equipment easier to work on so the consumer can fix their own equipment since it is so hard to find good service. They are always willing to sell you something but after the sale? Good luck getting help.
Have fun and look forward to your after the show report. Love ya!
Congrats! Don't forget to take all your shop notes so that the manufacturers make decent, affordable, and serviceable equipment!!
Being an Australian I really appreciate your "tell it like it is" attitude. Nothing worse than many of the sponsored channels sugar coating gear that is somewhat questionable in terms of build quality and reliability (not to mention replacement parts issues). I am all for the no b/s way. You are getting the message out and being noticed, and this is reflected in your increasing subscriber numbers and total views. I wish you were local because I have a couple of issues needing attention, however, you have helped me already address a couple of problems/challenges. Thank you and enjoy your weekend in Kentucky.
Glad you got the invite, hope they treat you well and you can come back with useful information for us , Thanks again for your help and advice videos
Hope for the best and expect the worst is my thinking
So happy to hear you are getting recognized. Well deserved! Ask them to be faithful to north American buyers and manufacture their product in the USA. I'm Canadian and if product isn't made in Canada I am always happy to support my good neighbours to the south.
Many of the foods we buy are from you good folks in Canada. Always pleased to purchase items from you as they seem more health concerned than with many other foods suppliers.
I don’t think it will end well 😢
Awesome !!!!!! Love your videos. I use them all the time at work fixing generators. Very helpful
I have enjoyed learning from your videos. You keep it simple.
This is so awesome!! It's so wonderful they are reaching out to an experienced woman in this field to get your opinions/expertise. Rock on Arkansas lady💃🚜🎉
Awesome news Bre.. You are deserving of the recognition. I would like to know if they are going to get better response time on their parts. I waited 2 months for a piston ring for a customer string trimmer. He wanted it fixed.
Awesome! I'll be there...hope to see you on that Thursday. Congrats on the recognition from the Hoooosqvarna folks. LOL!
Bre I love your channel! I just had a conversation with one of my daughters informing her about some of the great advice and teachings that you provide your subscribers with. Explaining to her that women like yourself, that have a high level of knowledge, skill set, the NO BS approach, and the ability to articulate your craft, is such a wonder find for me. So glad for you and your invite! Hope that you have a wonderful time getting your hands dirty! Looking forward your comments and insights!
I run a Husqvarna 545 20” bar and that saw has been nothing but amazing. Glad you get to talk directly to the development team! Sounds like there should be a consulting fee :) hopefully there’s a good relationship that can be built going forward! Congrats and looking forward to future content!
Husqvarna parts ordering has been an issue in Canada for over 10 years, not just lately. I would say, since their Global reorganizing. It makes it frustrating for the DIYer and smaller shops.
I've got hundreds of backorders some 7 months. They out source too many products which they have no control over
Wow!!! Your integrity and honesty earned you that invite... Don't hold back(as if...), your thoughts with anybody Ma'am!
I'm now living vicariously through you.
Go get 'em!
Congratulations!! That is awesome that you are invited. What an honor. Thank you for your all your content!
You go girl!!!!! So happy for you. Enjoy it and let them know how hard keeping up with all these changes is. The quality of equipment, quality of parts and parts availability. Thanks for what you do!
Good for you, I use Husqvarna chainsaw and weed eater on our homestead a lot over the last three years with no issues. Can’t help with questions but love your channel and have told people to check you out when they have issues
I don't think they could have asked for a better person to come out and pick their brain on what the people want and need. I love watching your videos and know that you are telling it like it is. I trust everything you say, and I have learned so much from you. There are times I don't trust what I see on RUclips, but you are the real deal!!! Keep up the great work, and have a great time in Louisville.
Congratulations girl. You deserve this. Your videos are absolutely amazing. Super educational, and very informative. You’ve actually helped me out on a couple occasions troubleshooting my own chainsaw issues by watching you. Keep up the great work. And thanks again. 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Thanks for giving your honest opinion on equipment hard to find these days, just found your channel and will keep watching . Thanks
That is awesome for you, congratulations on being involved with them at the show it shows your knowledge and experience in the business. Great job.
Absolutely luv your channel & content. Really respect & appreciate your straight forward no nonsense candor. Have a great time. Hoping you’ll be posting some videos while you’re there.
Way to go, Bree! Your channel is so informative, and you don't pull any punches. Keep on rockin' girl! ❤😊
Your a good honest person we need more of you in our world thanks from the bottom of my heart
This shows how appreciated you are by your peers and the producers of the products you work on. No one knows more about them than the one that sees and works on them everyday. You can be proud of the recognition.
@@DiabloOutdoorsshe's there to talk with their people about what's wrong or right. Not for advertisement.
Sounds like they are trying to buy your silence to me, trust no one 😂
What an honor! I love husqvarna they really do seem to listen to what people are saying and make changes quickly for the better. My crew (and wife!) Love the husqvarnas and redmaxes we have. I've done alot of work with stihls but they aren't top of the heap anymore.
Very cool. Enjoy your videos and learn something new every time I watch one. Thanks.
Love your videos. Fixed two small engines with your guidance. Best compliment I can think of. Keep up the good work!
That should be a sign of how well you do what you do. You actually got noticed.
Great job Bre.
Enjoy the experience. Possibly eye opening.
Keep the great videos coming.
Years ago I had a made-in-Sweden Husqvarna 250WR enduro-type bike. The 2-cycle motor was so precisely made that there was no need for a head gasket on top of the single cylinder. Instead, you used valve-grinding paste to seat the head to the cylinder, then you cleaned off the paste and torqued the head down to spec. I've never had a better-made piece of machinery. It had no speedometer/odometer nor a brake light. The headlight and tail light were powered by the engine (no battery) but I jury-rigged a brake light and switch using a 6 volt lantern battery, one of which would lasted about a year. I mention this, because I took my motorcycle driving test on it, and, in my state, a speedometer/odometer was not a requirement, just the lights and a brake light along with a license tag. The DMV examiner had been a trooper first, and knew all the laws and regs, and only wanted to see that it had the license plate, that the head & tail lights came on when running, and that the brake light came on and was bright enough. He cautioned me that I could still get a ticket if I went too fast, particularly in low speed urban areas and school zones. Later, while in graduate school in another rural town in a different, usually stricter, state, it was my daily transportation around town. One day at the post office a guy backed over it with his truck, but did no damage except to bend a spoke or two, which were bent straight on the scene. No real harm, no foul. Years later, had to sell it when I married - wife said "no motorcycle driving or owning" was in the vows, somehow I missed that part, but I did sell it. It's probably still being ridden on somebody's farm and surrounding trails in the rural county where I grew up.
Congratulations on being acknowledged for being honest and actually helpful to the consumer.
Congrats! You've just come across the Swedish DNA (I'm Swedish) and this is the way we want to handle things. We know what we are doing and why we do it, and if you can help us improve on quality and satisfaction, pls tell us! Now, of course I know that this does certainly not apply to everybody (maybe rather a few) from this part of the world, however I definitely expect Huskvarna to match the expectations from the market. Excellent pronunciation btw!
It certainly doesn’t apply to Volvo cars, now that they’re made in some third world sweatshop!
My question would be are they going to make getting parts easier? Last year I had to wait 4 months for a part for my self propelled mower.
Right now I'm taking a class in small engine repair at a career center and my teacher is going to that show. He goes every year.
Congrats on your trip that is awesome. I own a husky 350 chainsaw and a handheld leaf blower. Both over 20 years old and still kicking. Had a wonderful dealer in Cameron WI.
That’s very cool . Also nice to see a company listening and looking at comments to better their business .
I am so happy for you! You are getting noticed. I had a small husqvarna years ago I enjoyed for delimbing. You will enjoy the event. You might meet some famous people there. You never know.
You go girl. Just want to say thank you for your videos I've learnt so much from. Have a nice day.
Congrats and Awesome! Your honesty & free speech are huge draws to your channel imho. Have a Great show.
There right your no B S videos are what makes you great 👍. Have fun 😊
Good for you! Good for us! You do an excellent job of helping people and cutting through the BS! We know you will make the best of the opportunity and can't wait to see the videos! You go, girl!
You deserve VIP treatment. Learned a bunch from you. Wish I could make it butttt....... Have a good time!!!!
I think you present a fair & truthful Pesenter. I appreciate you. Go have fun learn and network.
So cool! I work for another Swedish company and I usually go to the city of Husqvarna once a week. I then drive by the Husqvarna Company and every time I think of your channel. The Husqvarna company has a really nice museum in one of the older factory buildings so if you are ever in Sweden do come and visit the museum!
I wonder how or why the city of Husqvarna was renamed to Huskvarna ?
Did the Swedish Chef have anything to do with that ?
Way before the Swedish chef…just the evolution of the Swedish language and spelling….Hus = house…in the old days this referred to a mantion/small castle and kvarn = mill…(in the old days spelled qvarn). So the name came from the old water powered mill located along the stream there i.e the ”Mantionmill”. Water power then evolved into industrial production in the Husqvarna Company. The company kept its name and the city changed to Huskvarna when the spelling of kvarn was changed.
…mansion…
@@bjornleidelof1406 👍👍 Thank you, There is awesome history behind Sweden's engineering skills, the worlds first & best steel, firearms, motorcycles and much more. I would love to visit the Husqvarna museum.
Europe really developed the world.
The Tatra T81 / T111 trucks, and Tatra T11 car and successive models were copied by Porsche & VW among others.
I've got your Legends of Fear hoodie Bree, I'll have it sent out as soon as I can get to the post office!
Love your videos. I always learn something.
