Found the screws I needed thanks to this video. Never would have found them otherwise. Thank you very much for saving me yet another trip back to Lowe’s lol
Glad to help
Droping more gold nuggets! Thanks for posting.
Lol thanks.
Many thanks for posting this. I dropped a screw on my whirlpool duet dryer. The 10-32 thread screw was the perfect replacement. Saved me $32 bucks ordering a screw set online!
Glad to help
So I bought a used dryer and had to replace the electrical cord and I'm missing a screw. These particular screws have a blunt like tip on the end of them. So my question is can I use the screws you showed here instead and do you have to have the nut included when installing the bolt? Thanks!
If the night is still connected you don’t have to have it you can use the old one. Usually it will be one of the two sizes I’ve mentioned. An easy way to fix it is just order another terminal block which is where the screws and nuts go into. You can just pull off anything you need or use the whole terminal block. Just look up dryer terminal block on eBay and find the one that looks just like yours.
The important thing is that when you tighten the screw down it gets very tight if it’s loose it will create a fire hazard.
Been going nuts trying to figure this out for a week thank you so much 😭
Glad to help
Me and a home depot employee just watched this video. Thanks
Glad to help.
10-32x3/8 did it for my Kenmore dryer! THANKS!!!!
Does it matter if it’s zinc or does it have to be stainless steel?
Nvm it should be stainless steel
2 of the screws will not go in, I don’t know if the squares nuts were stripped or something, I am so frustrated and mad 😡.
Yeah I’ve had that happen before. Sometimes you can find the right size square nuts and sometimes you have to replace wire in a new terminal block. Which is not that big a deal but still sucks.
@@WasherDryerMoney ordered mine on Amazon worked perfectly
Our dryer blew out having to replace cord and screw. Looking all over internet your video was very informative. Thank you!
Glad to help
Thank you so much for including both screw sizes, that was my conundrum.
Great information, thanks posting.
Thanks
I had the same size screw just not the same threading. Thanks for the vid. This is the info i was looking for
Thank you!!
Glad to help
I can’t find a single video on my problem, I have a new dryer, the screw to the plug on the left side of the terminal will not come out of the bolt,
Maybe penetrating oil or applying heat.
Worst case, take the terminal block off and see if you can grip both sides with pliers.
thank you so much, this video just saved me. Because I couldn't find the screws. I would've never thought to go to Lowes.
Glad to help
What about the ground one
The original screws are 3/8th and the replacement I found were 1/2". Will that cause any problems problems concerns?
Check behind the screw and make sure it’s not going to touch metal where it go in the extra little bit.
If you need to shorten the screw, get a nut that fits it, put the nut onto it and then cut the screw at the right length and then takeoff the nut to fix the threads.
What size do I need for the lint trap screws?
Will this work for the LG dryer 🤔
This video was perfect and so necessary for me!! Thank you tremendously!
Glad to help
Thank you!!
Thank you! I've been going crazy trying to find someone to explain what size I needed.
Glad to help
Me too!!
Any idea where to find the square nuts? Can’t find them anywhere in Hd?
Try going on eBay and looking up a terminal block for a dryer. There’s a lot of scrappers that cut them off and List them on eBay cheap. Get one that includes everything that way you’ll have all the parts you need.
Thank you bro! I spent the entire with no luck and then your video popped up. Saved me money and time
Glad to help
Very helpful Much appreciations🙏
Glad to help.
Can I use any kind of screw? I dropped one in the hole and who knows where it went?
No if you fast forward through the video you’ll see where I give the screw size. If you use the wrong size it could overheat the wire and catch fire.
@@WasherDryerMoney i finished the video and answered my question. Lol. Thank you for replying. I ended up putting my new samsung dryer on its side on the styrofoam that it came with and tilting it so that the screw slid to the corner where the terminal block is. I was able to get it close enough where I used a wrench to "lasso" the screw and drag it close enough to finger pluck it out of there. I did a little victory dance and installed it the right way this time. She drys like a champ!!
I was coming up with every excuse to tell my salesperson at Lowe's. I was even thinking about getting to lowe's at 6 am to take the screws off the floor model. Lol. Hopefully I didn't damage anything by putting it on its side but I wasn't accepting defeat. My dryer doesn't have a front access panel. It's all one whole metal encasement.
