What a lovely haul you have there! Lots of yummies. Our local farm has fresh picked strawberries right now, so I've been eating a lot of them. I like cut berries, sliced bananas, maple syrup and heavy cream poured on them. Just ate a big bowl. Mmmm... I shop once every 4-6 weeks. You are such a kind and sweet lady. Blessings...

yes Icut my hubby to just one a day because he has kidney problems. I may drink one a week otherwise it's water or ice tea for me. Hubby likes favor water me not so much. lol
Food pantries: I went last week twice and they had tons of apples and onions they were begging people to take. I have no teeth so I peel and chop the apples and bake them and keep them in the refrigerator. I keep the whole ones I have not prepared yet in the refrigerator as O do with onions. They keep great. I peel the onions and put them in a bowl of cold water with a dish on top to cut down on the eyes watering. Then I chop them up and fill sandwich baggies containing 1/2 cup each. I put the sandwich baggies in a big freezer bag and freeze them for future cooking. With two bags of chopped onion I am good for at least 6 months. No need to buy onion powder or flakes. With bread- we have a bread factory where I live and I go to the factory store to get all my bread items at about 25 percent of the regular store cost. Do you have one of those near you? Or a day old bread store? I have used that option too. I buy bread once a month and freeze it. Old bread makes great French toast and bread crumbs and bread pudding. I love your videos!! Great job with your shopping! I like once a month shopping too. It's nice to have it all done and the security of knowing you have food in the house. Weekly sales are great, however I was spending extra money on gas and some impulse items just because I was in the store. Tell Glen I hope he feels better soon and he shared some good tips. Nice haul, thanks for sharing. I drink 2-3 package drinks every day. I but them at the dollar store or Walmart. They're better for us. I too, have been giving up soda. I like water, but feel like the packets are a treat. Have a great night. ❤
Nice haul.I used to live in the Central Valley, I miss the fruit and vegetables.
Brats: I buy a pack at Aldi where I find them cheapest that has 5 in it. I live alone. I pan fry all of them then eat one and out 4 in a zip lock bag in the refrigerator. They keep at least a week. I eat them warmed one by one in the microwave for a meal with whatever as a side dish. They are gone in five days. 👍🏻
Nice haul, food is getting outrageous. Our discount salvage stores are higher than a regular grocery store. I am also giving up on soda (to a point), a 12 pk here is about 8$ each. Hope all is well with you. God bless.

Put lemon slices in a glass ofice water, squeeze them into it before you throw them in, really refreshing and good for you too

One of the things I do to save money is to take the drink packets for a entire pitcher and put it in the fridge. I pour it in a tumbler with ice that I carry around all day.

Hi there Corrina! Nice haul that's full of items that hopefully will last you for awhile...In regards to the M.I.A. corn on the cob...Please remember that when the stores are out of an item, you can always ask for a raincheck to go back and get the item on a different day! Since you went to 3 stores, you could've received 3 rainchecks to be able to get the corn whenever you wanted! A lot of times, the corn is also better after the "sale" is over, because they probably don't sell as quick, they won't be all picked over, and you can most likely find corn that's a better quality and tasty cob! They stopped doing rain checks during Covid. Hopefully I’m wrong and they started again but it was hard stocking the shelves when they had no idea when they were getting product any product much less something specific on a bogo. Publix / Aldi shopper in Alabama
I'm here in Iowa and it's supposed to be 94°, 107° heat index. Not going outside today if possible.
You had a great grocery haul. I know you felt so good having some great things to eat and enjoy. We all like some comfort food. My family loves popcorn, so we always stay stocked up on it. We buy microwave popcorn and bag popcorn kernels you pop in a pot or in a popcorn maker. I love it, but deal with the husk, so I don't eat it very often. In fact my daughter is eating some now. I shop weekly to get things that are on sale. You can make a lot of different things with a bag of potatoes. I use them mostly for baked potatoes and fried potatoes and onions. We love good ole country cooking food. I can sit down and eat a bowl of pinto beans and corn bread and be happy. Im sitting here drinking orange tangerine Juicy Juice. The only time we have it is when its on sale buy one get one free. So I paid 2.09 a piece for them. Alot of things I will not buy unless its on sale. If my family sees goodies, they know mom got it on sale. That's how we make it work for us. I will stock up when things are on sale. You learn how to get the most for your money. Thank you for all your shopping and cooking videos! A idea to try- get a big pack of bacon ends at Walmart or a similar store. They fry up as bacon bits and are great. You can cook for a month with all the bacon grease. And you can freeze the bacon bits to use later. God bless!
I freeze my bacon on a cookie sheet with parchment paper before packaging for the freezer. If you only need a few slices they separate effortlessly straight from the freezer.

I try to use a list, but still go off it a lot due to my impulse buy problem 😂 like you, I’ve only gotten 1 decent watermelon so far. The newest one I bought is meh (like so many from last season). I’m starting to believe that the old time watermelons we got as kids - the seeded ones - were always usually much sweeter than these non seeded ones. I just can’t find them anywhere. When I do, I’m gonna grab one. Great sale on your brats! And I bought Oreo thins to try this time. It makes me believe I’m eating less lol. I hope you get to bake again soon! I love 💕 it when you do. You can use any leftover heavy cream to make your own butter if you need to.

I have to say I'm going to try the peaches in milk you mentioned.
The best peaches I ever had were Georgia peaches that I bought at a local farm stand. But they only get them in once a year, and it's this time of year......we have a Meijer store in our town too. Always check the meat section. They often put clearance tags on the meat that's getting close to expire date.....I have gotten some nice steaks and they are perfectly good !! Thanks for the great video!

I drink soda for caffeine throughout the day
I use chili sauce to make sloppy Joes sometimes it so good to me not so tomato's tasting to me.
Try taco seasoning to make chilli I love it and aldi brand pudding is tasty
Maybe someone will gift you a soda stream? I got my mom off soda and now she drinks the SS water with lime bubbly drops. I like it with just a squeeze of fresh lemon or fresh lime in it or just plain.

Your grocery store myer was hugh - made our store look very small. Proably because it is. We live in a very country area so not a large population. I love brats but dont see tgem to often at any store around us. We hsve the one grocery store dollar store and dollar tree. So not much great food shopping around here.
The heat index is going to be 105 here in Alabama tomorrow. So no heating up the house cooking.
