Thank you for this video, it’s not easy to find GFX content on RUclips, for obvious reasons, so I was wondering how the gfx update was working, i just updated my 100 ii and so far it looks promising, need to get out there and do some tests, going to try with the 55 1.7 and see how it goes
I did some test with the 32- 64mm,32-70mm , 110mm, 20-25mm and the 55m 1.7 with good results. The 55 was the worst . The lens is not fast enough for the update

@@lazsmith Of course I have a high opinion of myself, I showed everyone in may the issues, People complained showing the issues I found , fuji said "We've received a lot of comments to improve autofocus" and they fixed it. Again , you're welcome man. Glad you're happy with your GFX100II
Challenging scenario with the dark face and bright baackground.. But am the only person who hasn't had a problem with AF on my GFX 100 II? I have not updated the firmware since I got it a year ago, and it has been steller, in video.. tracking a surfer 80 yards away.. just I don't get what people have been having so many issues with? That being said, look forward to see the FLOC2C..
@@r14557 I have been using 100-200 and 35-70 a fair amount.. I will say, I just updated the firmware on my 80mm after the camera, and it is notably smoother when manually focusing (Linear setting).. The 35-70 now seems to AF faster.. though it is slightly louder with little tiny noises it is making.. where it did not seem to make as many of those noises before... The 100-200 has been great always though.
@@TylerMcCool you’re not the only one, I’ve been using it since launch without dramas. I just used it within the parameters I knew worked and I’ve done some great work with it. Who uses GFX for video though? I have a GFX and I don't use it for video. I could not be bothered logging that big thing around and doing video with it but I'm glad they've kinda fixed it. Let's hope it translates to Photography. Interestingly enough. I get great auto eye detection with my GFX 100S II .... It's probably about a 90% heat rate and I'm not going to be upgrading the firmware when the firmware comes out because I'm actually completely happy with the camera the way it is so I won't be taking the risk but I'm glad they've done something for this camera but given that the 100S II was released eight months after this camera it's probably got different firmware
I do! Especially when I’m doing both photo and video during slower paced shoots. Easy to switch with the button. Would use the xh2s, but the f4 on the gfx lenses never bothered me so I dont swap….(min focus does suck tho)
@@MARKZHELEZOLO yeah I see what you mean. The only reason I don't use the GFX camera for video. Is it just heavy to be using video? That's all and I just think you can buy those little Sony cameras now and you can buy pretty much any device now that's 4K 30 or 4K60 there's plenty of options around for a good video. Well, I have also the gfx 100ii and I’m a photographer, but I’ve just started doing videos just for ig content, so I can’t complain this is working nicely
@@catbread2585 I haven't shot any video on my GFX but I know they're fixing all of the cameras at the moment with the firmware. The only reason I went for the S model was it's 300 g lighter and I didn't like the detachable viewfinder. I would break it on something as I do a lot of landscape photography and I don't like the way it sticks out because I like to put my face up against the side of the camera old School approach but both cameras are amazing and I'm glad they fixed it. Good job Fuji because they were copping a hammering.
I do! Sold my entire Canon R5 kit for GFX 100 ii and have never looked back. Just gotta understand and accept the limitations and you get to have such fun making next level stuff.
This is all looking very encouraging, even for the XH2S and hopefully the XT5 and XS20 coming soon.
Please x-t5 lol
Hope it will take less than 2 years to get Fuji F-LOG2C supported by Resolve as it took for F-LOG2.
Thanks for the video.
Are people using F-Log2 as Input Gamma for a CST workflow instead of ARRI LogC3? Would this be better for F-Log2 C?
@@AllanYPhotography I’ve tried both, they both work the same for gamma
@@lazsmith thanks! Would the Input Color Space still be Rec2020 for F-Log2 C?
@@AllanYPhotographyIt has a wider color space so it shouldn’t work. I am curious how to convert is correctly as well.
@@jayzn1931 yeah that’s what I was thinking! I’d prefer not having to use the LUT.
I just updated my GFX100II, Flog2 C is amazing paired with the Davinci Resolve Arri LogC4 and Aces 1.3. Autofocus works great too
Gosh, can it finally be time to trust in GFX AF?! Am cautiously excited 😁📸 Bummer that it won’t come to my GFX100S

How about the gfx 100s ii ?
