Look forward to seeing what you decide for the poetry! Our family does poetry teatime once a month. Last year we focused on Robert Louis Stevenson, this year it will probably be Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Totally going to check out your planner! For group/family subjects, I love My Fathers World. Got a lot of mine used. I primarily use if for history because we do science with co-op.
I love history but it overwhelms me. Do you have any suggestions of where to kinda start with a 7th grader. Hes severely dyslexic and we have not really done a history curriculum. Weve done read alouds. Ps: dont forget the solar eclipse on April 8th!!
History Pockets by Evan Moor. It is very “general overview” and can be minimal reading if you do it more as a discussion presentation instead of having your child read the words. My kids rarely read all the words. I just talk about it with them, watch some RUclips content on it. And then make the little crafty thing and stick it in our pockets. They are fantastic!
I have several dyslexic kids and we love Sonlight. I read most of the books and assign what I can on audio to help me out and then they aren’t pressured to read the books on a schedule. Then we answer discussion questions together and that’s it. No papers to write and they love the books. We recently watched National Treasure the movie and I was shocked at what they know lol.

I love the idea of poetry and haven’t figured out how to implement it right. Love the one a month idea though. Not overwhelming!
I’m so excited you’re back on RUclips again. Loved todays video. I still have the space notebook you had emailed me years ago. My kids loved it.
I can’t believe you still have it!! It makes me laugh that I pulled it out again all these years later.
I love how you build your curriculum. Thank you so much for sharing❤
Thanks for watching!

I’m biased but I love my easy to use, no nonsense planner. I’ve seen MFW but never looked into it very much.

I might have to pick up Sing a Song of Seasons!
It’s a beautiful book. You won’t regret it n
I feel like I’m being shouted at 😅
It’s funny you say that. Sometimes my students would tell me I was shouting at them. 🤣 it’s just my voice I guess.
