NFS offered everything to everybody back in the day. The soundtrack was very diverse ranging from "house" all the way to "metal". Nowadays is just one single genre that has barely anything to do with the actual gameplay. NFS Heat was the breaking point when they said "screw it" and made the worst soundtrack possible, that continued in Unbound. NFS Payback had some "TikTok"- like songs, but it was overall pretty diverse. It's clear they lost their way while making that soundtrack, because NFS 2015 has a really nice soundtrack that is, again, extremely diversified. I really don't understand where they are going with the shitty customizable characters. The customization is so limited i can't even represent myself in a game that is all about self representations. All the unnecessary "Fortnite"- like poses at the of a race, the very commercial music and the cartoony sticker-like effects just make it look like a game about "TikTok culture" not "car/tuning culture". I'm still mad at NFS Heat for not having polo shirts. Like, bruh, it's Miami. It's full of Golf clubs. Just let me wear my golf dad attire in game. Also doesn't have a buzz cut, although you can clearly see it when scrolling quickly though hairstyles. Which, btw, are still not available in NFS Unbound. Expression for sure... This is the first game with character customization in which i'm simply unable to express myself. Bruh, this turned into a full blown rant about everything. To end it nicely, NFS Pro Street had both the best soundtrack and the best atmosphere.
The fact that Unbound is constantly being compared to what most people think is the best NFS is pretty amazing. Hot take but this might be this gen’s UG2 or MW 💁♂️
People are just blinded by nostalgia honestly. It happens with almost every game series that's been around for years. Watch decades from now when the people that grew up with Unbound complain about whatever entry is released around that time in the future.

Both are good, what you want? Anyway, metal doesn't fit modern day street culture anymore. It's not the 2000s. And while I'm not a fan of half of the songs in Unbound, the other half slaps (Boïh, Hey Neighbour, Where's My Mind and Tłoki to name a few)
I will say this not every nfs game needs hip-hop as the entire soundtrack. I honestly would like a variety, like edm, heavy metal, punk, heavy rock, alternative rock. Shit like that
EA does NOT have an excuse not including metal into NFS soundtracks. DOOM, Metal Hellsinger, hell even Forza has some hard rock AT LEAST. And DOOM and Metal Hellsinger were wildly successful not just because of their gameplay, but because of their incredible Metal soundtracks.
Need for speed Carbon handled the diversity of music so well, how? It's mostly based on the type of car you're driving. If you have a muscle car, your music is gonna be rock and punk music Driving tuner based sports cars your music is gonna be electro music and such Driving exotic luxurious super cars your music is gonna be rap and hip-hop Perfectly balanced the personality of the player based on their choice of rides

if not even tht the music was just better with the old game, its how they blended it perfectly with the car engines and background noise that gives the games its own unique identity and ambience
I understand that the author has copyright issues, but only yesterday I decided to go to RUclips to listen to almost all the music in this game, and today I guessed to climb into the sound settings so that the sounds of cars were the quietest sounds in the game.-_-
It bothers me how they ruined the sounds of cars, a mkre basic execution in MW05 using sound from sound libraries does it better than later games that got stuff recordered specificly for the game. Its even down to how engine behaves and what creative liberties are taken(like giving that mad S2000 engine sound to maxed out Punto in Most Wanted which just sounds great, or Cerbera v8 for GTR so it sounds unique(and more like M3 gtr sounds inside the cabin). As for those other ost memes where its always 3 same songs from.most wanted they should show its not just metal but D&B and eletronic music(Barrier Break, Stratus you must follow, Broken sword or Feed the addiction).

The music perfectly illustrates the sense of anger with a cool and collected nature of a man on the war path.
THERE GOES MY VALENTINE AGAIN
It feels like comparison between zoomer and boomer music and I love it.
No car game matches this type of realistic sound of this game. This was a masterpiece
The fact that Unbound is constantly being compared to what most people think is the best NFS is pretty amazing. Hot take but this might be this gen’s UG2 or MW 💁♂️
People are just blinded by nostalgia honestly. It happens with almost every game series that's been around for years. Watch decades from now when the people that grew up with Unbound complain about whatever entry is released around that time in the future.
there's nothing to discuss here NFS MW is the best game and MW soundtrack is a masterpiece
there is no music in the mw clip? only the m3gtr engine sound
@Juhnenfels thx
I turn the music off in the new NFS. MW OST is literally on my gym Playlist.
Same with hot pursuit i still have some of them in my playlist
@@Esmoriiz Facts!
Things started to change when devs start accepting wokeness
They also don’t make games for the nfs community they just want to sell more copies of the game
@@Esmoriiz which they end up failing at, seeing as how unbound is already half off in a month's time.
when will the overqualified morons at marketing understand that you need to hold your fanbase first before you try to whore out to a wider paycheck.
Trying a broke, blind and bedlam, only to be stood up by everyone
even blind I would always recognize the sound effect of BMW M3 NFS MW 2005.
I honestly really enjoyed some songs from Unbound soundtrack including one in this video - named Split
I love the sountracks of both of these games
I will say this not every nfs game needs hip-hop as the entire soundtrack. I honestly would like a variety, like edm, heavy metal, punk, heavy rock, alternative rock. Shit like that
EA does NOT have an excuse not including metal into NFS soundtracks.
DOOM, Metal Hellsinger, hell even Forza has some hard rock AT LEAST. And DOOM and Metal Hellsinger were wildly successful not just because of their gameplay, but because of their incredible Metal soundtracks.
Well in Unbound you're a "street racer"
While in Most Wanted youre literal criminal that wreck everything in rockport
The music pretty much that
Need for speed Carbon handled the diversity of music so well, how? It's mostly based on the type of car you're driving.
If you have a muscle car, your music is gonna be rock and punk music
Driving tuner based sports cars your music is gonna be electro music and such
Driving exotic luxurious super cars your music is gonna be rap and hip-hop
Perfectly balanced the personality of the player based on their choice of rides
I am one of the younger audience but due to lack of availability of modern games, i have played u2, mw, c in 2013-14 but i love them, i hate how newer nfs games are featuring their soundtrack, I'm just 17 and i didnt like these pop songs for nfs,
Even being from younger audience i hate it, don't know for whom EA is doing this
The music is already in my head haha
SLOWLY RECALL ALL YOUR MIND
i am rock
@@donfunado2241 Is it really cringe to like this song while not being influenced by memes?
@@donfunado2241 on that I agree. blinded by chains is as good tbh

The time when npcs were competitive rivals
Why yes, I too think that "THA BIMMA"s engine sound in MW'05 is better than the entire _unbound_ experience.
if not even tht the music was just better with the old game, its how they blended it perfectly with the car engines and background noise that gives the games its own unique identity and ambience
Unbound be like: HEEEEEEEEEY WE WANT SOME MOOOONEY! 😂
NFSMW: BMW M3 GTR SOUNDS 👹
i genuinely thought that the m3 gtr motor sound was the "soundtrack" xd. But tbh that engine sound is a masterpiece
chorus from shapeshifter forever in my heart
celldweller shapeshifter
A7X - Blinded In Chains played in my mind
I think they should have handpicked some artists from Chicago to represent the music in you know, a game centered around a fictionalized Chicago?
Honestly, even with out a song , pure sounds of bmw is still better
Bro forgot the music at the nfs mw💀
Copyrighted recently
@@paulie33 sad. They broke everyone's childhood with this. Atleast i still have the sountrack on the game disk
To be fair. I've enjoyed nfs Heat ost. From rap bangers to EDMs to latino songs ( I don't know the genre lol). Those songs really fit into the whole palm city aesthetic
