Here is a modest and a humble man who represents what a good eduction is all about. He has the ability to create concepts, understands movements and dynamics, and has the ability to research build what he desires. He knows himself and can learn whatever he wants. A man who can fill in his time and understands raw materials and their complexity. He makes a good educator for children as he does not only send them to libraries, but also appreciates what goes on in workshops and laboratories, he is a fully educated intelligent happy man who understands material and society. Congratulations. The car looks majestic and has character. I bet is attracts a few looks wherever it goes, even if it does not fly!
And fortunately, you are someone who can recognize this. The lack of people like this man , is why our country is slowly , but surely going down the drain. We are no longer a CAN DO ,WILL DO , NATION. We have become a DONT WANNA DO , LET SOMEONE ELSE DO COUNTRY. Thanks for recognizing , just how valuable, people like this guy are.
It's uncategorical A fuel burning oracle A phantasmagorical machine It's more than spectacular To use the vernacular It's wizard It's smashing It's keen! Beautiful work! Keeping the legend alive. Thank you, Mat Klemp!
Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang has always been my favourite childhood movie. (Many people might not know it was written by Ian Fleming, who also wrote all the James Bond books) I absolutely love the idea of making a replica, and would do it myself if I had the time/money/skills. Thanks to the builder and to Chuck for featuring this car.
Amazing car, this movie was the reason I became such a car fanatic when I grew up. I still want to build my own Chitty, and seeing other people do it inspires me!
Sweet looking car. It's been a while since I've seen Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang. I was just a boy when I first saw it. I thought it was an awesome movie.
What a truly amazing and gifted man very humble extremely intelligent and interesting! my skills end with plastic models with the pieces already there I couldn't even contemplate the amount of design and know how that Matt has mind blowing really! Bravo great job! Thanks Chuck for posting this video !
Jimmys Jamin he spent a lot of time making his own molds it was interesting to see how well the final result turned out. He did a lot of applied math (a trait he didn't pass down unfortunately) to get such an amazing result.
When I was like 12, I starred in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as Jeremy at the Empress Theater in Magna Utah, and I loved every second of being in it! One of my favourite movies of all time for sure
He did fantastic job on this car. We all have are Favorite classic film movies. Vehicle. One my favorite film movie love watch anytime. Thank You.I truly love the classic hit song: Thank You Mat. Share to fans love this film movie.
The Chevy 6 is a good engine choice for that. It would be fun to have something like that. I've tossed around the idea of building something that looks about 20 years more modern around a CAT C-15 (a giant low RPM engine) so it would actually feel like it had some giant low RPM engine in a 1930's car. I drive an old Kenworth with the same driveline, and when bobtail, I only use the top five gears. The feeling of being able to engage the clutch in 7th gear without any throttle assistance and quickly taking off is awesome. In a car, I would likely disable the first five gears, or relocate the range selector to the dashboard.
My dad and I watched this movie together when I was a kid. I fell in love with this movie and watch it a lot ever since. The car you made looks amazing. That would be so awesome to ride in it.
Absolutely wonderful all round!! We'll done Matt!!!!! A lot of car loving guys could learn a thing or three from this car and the premise on which it was built! WELL DONE MATT!!!!!!! Absolutely superb :)
I was watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and needed to look up this car and found this upload. I'm amazed at the craftsmanship of this. The time and effort and cash that went into constructing this is amazing! The final product is truly admirable to say the least. I would be so proud. This needed to be done and he did it. So much praise where it is so deserved. Good job.
Great fun! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, thank you for sharing your video. I love your Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car! I have been searching for the original car, so far I haven’t found it. I’m so glad to see another fan. Thank you!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Being a fan of this car and of course the film, this is nothing short of breathtaking. I have actually seen, and sat in the original car that was used in the film, but this is simply stunning! Well done. A lot of hard work and dedication has gone into this, I can tell 😊
Unbwlievable. I am an inventor crbader also mostly because of this movie watched as a child. This is amazing work congratulations and I don't know that people understand the depth of heart ambition persistence it takes. The whole movie is amazing but the two parts that get me the most are when it pulls out of the garage, and when Sally Ann Howes mouth drops when the car rolls in by itself to get its family. No one understands the creative dream in a man to make something Amazing. Our world doesnt have the hope/life/ imagination/ dream anymore.
Good job on his project! I wonder what ever happened to the original car in the movie? How do you about yearly inspections, and I bet the auto insurance is expensive. My dream car has always been the 1978 Ford Thumberbird Town Landau, which as the top of the line Thunderbird and why I want a 1978 version, is because the 1979 version, the altered the tale lamps to be separated. If I ever find one in good condition, I would only drive it on special occations and keep it inside the garage.
I saw Chitty the other day at the Warbirds & Wheels museum at Wanaka, New Zealand. She's on display there until April 30th, lent to the museum by her owner Peter Jackson. It was amazing to see the original Pierre Picton car in the flesh. Well worth the trip.
I wish I could build my own Chitty Chitty Bang Bang but I just don't have the skills or the tools to do it. So I would have go to Gotham Garage, I know they could do it!
I have been a fan of chatty chatty bang bang since I first saw it in 1995. In fact it was my first film I ever saw. I have seen many replicas made, and some were very good, others, left much to be desired. I am a nitpicking individual who has a very sharp attention to detail, and I could count the nitpicks I have with your replica on one hand (four). Don’t let that detract from the fact that this is 100% hands down the BEST scratch built replica that I have ever seen. Your attention to detail, the high quality of your work and time you put in pays off tenfold. I would easily say that if you hadn’t said this was scratch built, I would have assumed it was constructed from one of the four stunt cars built for the film; that’s how superb it is. Honestly, you should take 100% pride and know that you have blown away all the competition, and I can’t sing your praises enough!
I my self I have two cars 1926 Hudson Essex and 1917 Dodge Brothers Touring car they are fun to show off, I've gone one step further I dress up in that time period, prohibition officer G-Man for the 1926. The 1926 I have two tommy guns there movie props and look 95% real, also a 45 side arm a none working still and other items to go with that time period. Enjoy it show it off great looking car and well done. Bernie USA 01/02/2020
I have a black and white photo of myself aged 5 in the original car. 30 years later I was out shopping with my family and car was on display in a mall. I got talking to the owner and it was still the same bloke who took me for a ride all those years ago.
It's just great isn't it, he needs to drive it around England where chitty Chitty bang bang was filmed, I'm sure he would receive a very warm welcome, I'd love to have a go in it.
I was hoping to hear the Chitty Chitty sound and then bang bang, which stated the song for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I'd love to see it in person, and possibly ride in it.
What breathtaking skills and dedication to this beautiful replica. This man is rightly proud of his work and he should be. You can see the joy in him as he talks about it. Congratulations to this man... inspirational.
Very cool I love to see dreams come true. There is such a lack of the hand pounded low budget projects anymore because of the demand for the flipper chassis. The guys with money usually don't even work on the cars, and everything these days well almost everything to put a classic rust bucket back on the road is just a click away. And that is an awesome thing if you got the extra dough. So thanks Chuck for letting me enjoy the fruits of Mr. Klemp"s hard labor. It is very refreshing to see the regular Joe the 9 to 5 guy make time to accomplish a scratch built car. I salute you Mat that is an auto worthy to swap spit with any auto mfg. on the planet. And ain't it great not having to make a 700 dollar car payment while being forced to buy full coverage insurance, and knowing that you can build your own car. You are free from the mind numbing reality of the disposable vehicle society still using rubber for tires and crud oil for fuel. I hope someday that mainstream humanity will become bipedal and actually want to make the world a better place instead of just wanting to make there world a better place. Of course I can usually find fault in anything. But not here! built you dream car with your bare hands. What an awesome thing to be able to do!!!!!!!
I never thought about it but the car is a boat really, it its, also a hover craft that would be harder to build. The car really was on a float.and it did float .The original is one. Cool car
This is quite epic as I have thought about building a repli chitty myself, only this guys actually DID it. Do you know is the copper exhaust is functional ????? I would think it would discolor due to heat and loose shine immediately . What a great car!
To quote Baron Bomburst: I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT!!!!!
Uh, Your Excellency...
ARE YOU GIVING ME AN ARGUMENT??!?!?!!
@@thetruesenator0125 No, I WANT IT!
then he goes "I WANT THAT CAARRRRRRRR"
Amazing craftsmanship and it's great that Mat is sharing it with the world instead of it just collecting dust in the darkness in a building somewhere.

Dude, it flies. I've seen the film, I mean the documentary. :-)
Amazing loyal work

Beautiful doesn't do it justice
That baby is clean as a whistle, even purrs like a “Kitty like Chitty!” 🥰🥰🥰
Genius build, bravo...Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Rocks...
The engine sound from the movie would make this one of the most perfect replicas to have!
Beautiful Workmanship. Humble Guy.

Jimmys Jamin he spent a lot of time making his own molds it was interesting to see how well the final result turned out. He did a lot of applied math (a trait he didn't pass down unfortunately) to get such an amazing result.
Oh I'm in love, this is so perfect and movie correct.
When I was like 12, I starred in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as Jeremy at the Empress Theater in Magna Utah, and I loved every second of being in it! One of my favourite movies of all time for sure
A true work of art ! Do you ever take it to car shows I would love to see it ?
He did fantastic job on this car. We all have are Favorite classic film movies. Vehicle. One my favorite film movie love watch anytime. Thank You.I truly love the classic hit song: Thank You Mat. Share to fans love this film movie.
A straight 6 from a Chevy was a fantastic choice for the powerplant. Those are VERY VERY close to what cars of this era had, simply marvelous!
A phantasmagorical machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Job!

That has to be the best Chitty Chitty Bang Bang replica I have seen on you tube yet. Bet he is going to get a lot of people saying I vant that car!!!!
The incredible skill and dedication it took to make that machine, I can't comprehend taking on such a large project
enjoyed this one - very well done job on this car - gold standard of kids movies also
Wow! It's the real Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car!
Amazing!!!!! Chitty is a beauty, stunning craftsmanship.
Very nicely done!
Wow amazing job. I love the movie and your car. It takes a lot of craftsmanship and time.
You have done the best job. Excellent work sir.
I would have to mount some speakers under the car with a big amp and blast the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang song every where I went.
Thankyou for doing this. Love the movie and love the car.
Lovely video and great to see the car I drew! A great job.
If I had enough money I would love to make one exactly like the one in the movie
My dad and I watched this movie together when I was a kid. I fell in love with this movie and watch it a lot ever since. The car you made looks amazing. That would be so awesome to ride in it.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Being a fan of this car and of course the film, this is nothing short of breathtaking. I have actually seen, and sat in the original car that was used in the film, but this is simply stunning! Well done. A lot of hard work and dedication has gone into this, I can tell 😊
How could you not love a project like that?
That exhaust is beautiful. Mat should consider fabricating them to order.
I don't think he plans on recreating that exhaust piping. I attempted to help him, but that got us no where.
Unbwlievable. I am an inventor crbader also mostly because of this movie watched as a child. This is amazing work congratulations and I don't know that people understand the depth of heart ambition persistence it takes.

Allandrover he really would love to see the original. I was trying to convince him to go to the Arizona comic con. Didn't happen.
Excellent job.
I wish I could build my own Chitty Chitty Bang Bang but I just don't have the skills or the tools to do it. So I would have go to Gotham Garage, I know they could do it!
I'll have to check out Gotham Garage.
Props to him, a lot of dedication obviously went into it
that is freaking awesome!

I think that he needs to start producing the car to make more money on it. But it would also require copyrights to make it from the movie producers.
I vont zat kaah!!
What an awesome car!
I love this car!!! Well done, sir! ❤
Glad you like it!

Sasha Carrillo that's chucks car hahahah
That's because it doesn't.
Chitty just may be the coolest movie car there is.
I was hoping to hear the Chitty Chitty sound and then bang bang, which stated the song for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I'd love to see it in person, and possibly ride in it.
I wish you luck...
brilliant. Chevvy? Buick? Lincoln? no, its gotta be Chitty :)

Start saving up now, Tim LOL. 😆🇬🇧 .
beautiful replica.....well done
I never thought about it but the car is a boat really, it its, also a hover craft that would be harder to build. The car really was on a float.and it did float .The original is one. Cool car
Wow, that guy has some amazing talent. I wanted to see it fly.
You don't ask for much! lol
