    Hey Rob, I like how you've managed to keep your channel relevant with new or different material, or new ways of looking at previous subjects. I see several other sports photography channels peter out after they've hit all the main points and they seem to run out of new ideas or new subjects to talk about. Keep it up!

    Hey Rob, loved the video BTS. Brought back memories of when I worked in Scotland during the winter. In Australia now but don't cover football (soccer in Oz). I'd like your thoughts on how waterproof (not resistant) you find the R6? Using it in the wet season, my 5D MkII was bulletproof in the storms but I'm a bit nervous with the R6. Considering the back screen, is it's as robust, during torrential rain? I can use covers but would prefer not to if I can. Could you also do a wee video on Photo Mechanic workflow please? The R6 is great, especially the latest firmware update. Love the videos, all the best.

    Great video Rob. I've never shot an evening game but i have attended a few and they can get bitterly cold. My worst experience was an FA Cup replay at St Marys a few years ago, sooooooo cold. It didn't help that the game was awful either.

    Hi Rob, just recently found your channel and there's a number of your videos which I will be catching up on. Having just watched this video, i found myself wondering about your workflow when at a game. What software do you use? What's the process that you use to send on your photos during the match. Not sure if other people have asked but I'd be interested in a video where you do a step by step process showing how you do this. Keep up the good work, cheers. Alan

    Rob, I don't know if you saw earlier comments I made. Do you ever shoot girls volleyball, dance competitions, or horse shows? Those are the 3 sports I shoot primarily, and now that I have the R6, I am curious about your experience with it in those venues

    • @RobSambles
      @RobSambles  2 года назад +1

      Sorry man - I try to keep up with all the comments, sometimes it gets on top of me. I've shot volleyball and dance no issues at all. I'd use the manual shutter rather than electronic for the volleyball though. I can't say I've ever shot horses but it should be fine for all of thoses. Its a great camera

    Great video Rob. Quick question- I shoot semi professional football, mainly during daytime. Rarely at night but still possible. I’m on a budget. Using a 70-200 f/2.8 and 17-55 f/2.8. Would you recommend I use one body and buy the 7D MK II…or buy two cheaper 7Ds and allow myself to use two bodies during matches?

    • @RobSambles
      @RobSambles  2 года назад

      If you're just shooting for yourself 1 body os fine but any kind of paid work you should always have a backup

  • @Feniche17
    @Feniche17 2 года назад

    Great video rob, such a cool perspective. Some of these look a little stopped down with focus on multiple players…I’d imagine you are pinning your shutter speed, and adjusting aperture to achieve your DOF / exposure, or am I wrong?

    • @RobSambles
      @RobSambles  2 года назад

      Mostly shot at f2.8 but some of the stuff on 70-200 was at f4. I tend to set shutter and aperture and then adjust iso primarily

    Hi Rob. I have the same 400mm and 70-200mm as you. I was wondering how do you find the FPS on the R6 compares to the 1DX? I've read that it doesn't achieve 12FPS with those lenses. Do you notice much difference with the 1DX?
