    Amazing video! Victorian Railways in Australia operated rather upgraded doodlebugs known as "Derms" or "Perms", the name coming from the abreviation of Diesel/Petrol (gasoline) Electric Rail Motor. None were streamlined but many were given modern windows and trailer cars.

    Somehow I feel streamlining a doodlebug is like calling a D&RG narrowgauge passenger train an "Express"

    The gas cars as these were known were used on the entire railroad from Seward to Fairbanks, including Whittier. And the Tanana River and valley is pronounced Taah-na-naw, not Ta-nana.

    Are the DSB class ms and ma classified as streamlined?

      Since they have an aerodynamic front and were built around the same time as other streanliners, I would say so.

    are you going to talk about the fm op800?

    • @Pensyfan19
      @Pensyfan19  2 года назад

      In order to be a streamlined Doodlebug, a railcar must be built unstreamlined, have components for passenger and freight, be streamlined at a later date, and serve smaller branch lines of a railroad. The FM OP800 does not have all of these features, so it is therefore *not* considered a Streamlined Doodlebug.

    Is there any possibility that the stripes were designed to frighten wildlife? Just guessing here. I've heard them referred to as 'scare stripes'. Cheers from Oshawa........
