Imagine a steel type pokemon that is not weak to fighting and a psychic type that is not weak to ghost and dark. It did get a nerf in a form of a ghost and dark weakness albeit getting a resistance to fairy which is a big deal and made it relevant again.
I think another interesting fact about mega metagross is that in moon's pokedex entry, "Mega Evolution stimulated its brain. It emerged as a ruthless Pokémon that will clutch at any means of ensuring its victories." basically mega evolving turns it very violent
About standard for Mega Evolution. Most effects from Mega Evolutions, by my understanding of their descriptions, tend to be rather dark in that they not only make the Pokémon far more powerful, but also incredibly violent and significantly more dangerous.

Hey Seiben you should do a video on Giratina next, I like to think that the incredibly rare Legendaries of Pokemon are like the Planeswalkers of MTG. Giratina himself sharing many characteristics with Nicol Bolas, both being Maleficent Dragons and Lucifer like figures that cause chaos and violence across dimensions.
What the hell my metagross had clear body now it has light metal i hate light metal since i have hammer arm an attack that lowers speed and makes light metal useless on the other hand if i have clear body my speed wont go down at all and everything is better but for some reason my metagross decided to swap from clear body to light metal Edit: my metagross wont even be fast it still is the last pokemon to have a turn i hate this horrible ability i want clear body back
Metagross has trash abilities barring its mega having Tough Claws. Clear Body is neutral at best dodging things like Intimidate whereas Light Metal is literally useless. If it had Levitate though that would be another story. But no one uses Metagross for its abilities in the way you use Espeon(Magic Bounce) or Gliscor(Poison Heal) mostly for their ability.
