Thank god for you! The DVD that came with my copy was cracked. I'd probably figure out how it works from the booklet, but it's nice to see the thing up here. Looks fun. Is this the entire DVD?
I know it's 6 years late, so this answer may not be of any use, but here's my experience. I found this game in a thrift store and picked it up to play solo. After my first session, I stopped using the roll and move, as well as the taxi and depository cards. I just went to the square I wanted, and solved the puzzles. I didn't use the timer or bother much keeping score. I did enjoy solving the puzzles.
@KarenSDR, What wonderful news Karen. I still have the game and needless to say never played it. I shall have to dig it out of a cupboard full of games that cannot be played solo. Would you, sometime in the very near future, care to guide me....p!ease ? Wonderful to hear this news. Kindest regards from the UK.
I don't know that I have much in the way of guidance. I played through some of the puzzles (each game consists of a puzzle using ten clue cards) a few years ago. I got it out again yesterday and came here to refresh my memory of the rules, mostly the setup, which I had forgotten. For solo play, I set aside cards 0-11. Cards 12-19 with the key on the back go in the LIbrary pile, and cards 20-39 with the triangle on the back go in the Gallery pile, Take one "decade" of cards (40-49, or 50-59, or 60-69 etc) and sort the by the symbol on the back, and put them in the matching corner of the board. Shuffle each pile. I use just one sheet for note-taking. Instead of rolling the die, I move the one marker at will to the pile where I want the draw the card. I find the pyramid marker impossible to pick up, so I use a pawn. Draw the card, and follow the instructions, as explained in the video. There's no racing, no winning or losing, just the fun of solving the puzzles, which are pretty easy. I find that after a few years I've forgotten all the solutions, so I'm able to replay it. Not that I ever did all 15 different games anyway. I have over a hundred games on my shelf, many of which are not designed to be played solo. I can almost always find a way. If there's not already a fan-made solo variant on boardgamegeek, I design one and post it. Look under "variants" in the forums and in the files section for the game you're interested in.
Thanks man I been looking for this. My dvd is all scratched to hell
