Darryl Lowe while an coming from an impoverished financial background can be a disadvantage, being poor has nothing to do with race. Anybody can come from a poor background. Race is not a disadvantage, at least not any more.
Due to great doctor like you and Dr.Kemp is the reason I’m cancer free of osteo sarcoma my orthepedic oncologist was great with him being able to do limb salvage and not having to remove any part of my knee but still being able to get 100% of the tumor out with no cancer left in my leg. Love doctors like you
Thank you Dr. Webb and Dr. Kemp for taking time out of your busy day to inform and help us succeed in our journey to become doctors. Your work is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
This channel means everything to me. Dr. Webb, your encouragement is getting me through medical school. You are a light. 💫 It gets so discouraging for URMs and this is the perfect antidote.
Yes I know Dr. Bird. Initially met him in Liberia, West Africa when we were both there doing medical mission work in 2014. Actually, just saw him a few weeks ago in Vegas
I think people who do a musculoskeletal oncology/orthopedic oncology fellowship and continue on as orthopedic oncologists treat all ages. I don't think there's an orthopedic oncology pediatrics fellowship. However, you could get a job as an orthopedic oncologist at a children's hospital?? Maybe, after the orthopedic oncology fellowship, some do a pediatric oncology fellowship. I doubt it though. There's no specific pediatric orthopedic oncology fellowship.
There are about 130 in the U.S. It's an extremely competitive fellowship, and it's even more competitive to find a job after residency. Most people who do this fellowship don't end up working as an orthopedic oncologist. Those who do usually work for a big hospital system.
As a black medical student, I honestly love this
Keep your head up sis, and come back to his channel when you need encouragement

@@thetruthsayer8347 I don't think you get it unless you grew up black in a poor neighborhood
