I was expecting you to mention in this video the *Elbow to the chin/eye/teeth* technique that ladies practice quite often 😂😂😂

PREACH! Especially on the squeezing hands! I never say no to a dance but with very few dancers if they ask for a dance I say 'yes, but please no thumbs'. Besides affecting the hand connection, it makes me quite uncomfortable.

    Great video as always.
I've never lead a trick or full on dip .... ever! I've lost count of the amount of times followers have thrown themselves into them though!
I think if you ask experienced leads, i.e. leads that social dance a lot, then a large proportion of them will have had or are carrying shoulder/arm issues caused by followers.
This is one of the factors that makes me choosey about who I ask to dance and why I'm hesitant to dance with random followers.
At international congresses it's not so much an issue but at local level the standard of technique is much lower and so followers are more likely to be swinging around on their leaders frame.
    Same issue for followers though.

Great video! I'll share with my follows. Two more I'd like to add - I've been slashed by nails quite often and stepped on by heels onto my toes (by a different follow than the one dancing with me). Ouch!

oh, I hate when dancers squeeze hands. it's like they always feel we would lose grip and disconnect which is not really a problem, unlike squeezing 😢
tense hands while turning I only experienced once, maybe not painful, but very hard to make turns.
regarding frame, I always felt it's relaxed (at least enough) if the follower's hand is behind shoulder, either on shoulder blade or close to it (depends on arm length, style etc). if the hand is on the shoulder or in front of it (if there is too much space between us) it can be very painful with time.
it's a shame this is not a day 1 lesson in many schools.

@spoonman1039 I agree, it should be always explained from the beginning 👍
