This was 7 years ago! I'm new. It's 2024 now and I'm watching. Your petals are so neat and uniform.. every one is so tidy. I've struggled with tangling but not giving up😊😊
thank you soooo much for putting these up!!! i live in a place where there are NO classes to take and no money if i COULD find one, so im self taught, and THAT would never happen either if it wasn't for people like you!!! i wish i could do more, but im hashtagging you and recommending you to anyone who listens...reallly realllly big thanks...peace from cape cod...
@momsmith9267 thanks. I share because I love the art form and truly believe anyone can do it. It does not NEED fancy expensive supplies. If you have ve something to draw with and something to draw on, you can do this art.
I just discovered you. In the nick of time because last evening I was quitting all attempts to draw. I feel motivated. I love your method and find your voice soothing and comments interesting. from Canada
Thank you Dawn. I love watching your videos! It really helps me to see and hear how you make decisions on composition and shading. All of your tips help.
Thank you for sharing in the way you have. I've watched other tutorials on this and it just seem like they are showing off. Your pattern is not highfalutin, it's totally doable and beautiful!
I also have just found you, Wow, I will be watching your videos hopefully each day, you have inspired me!! Thank you so much. From Marlene in Australia
I like it too…gonna do one tom 🙂 I tend to use smoother card stock, trouble is it doesn’t shade as well as the more textured surface. I also use 6/8 hb, which I find shows up better on smooth card 🙂.
OmG this is amazing art, you are a true artist. Love your style. Don’t understand how people say they are so board with nothing to do. Thank you for sharing 💝💝💝
I love watching your videos and...and also the words that u speak and the fact that u draw from ur heart..intution..going with the flow..become a medium to let the life of art manifest through u...love from india.. :-)
Astounding! Thank you for the beautiful design and clear instructions. My first attempt was too loose but the second attempt is starting to look more like this.
This is a difficult pattern if you don't pay attention to the growth of the petal right from the start. You did a beautiful job and your shading was definitely the frosting on the cake! Great result. I will try this one, now that I see where it could go wrong and how to avoid that. Thank you so much. I love your videos.
I just found you. I have to try something like this! I saw the video of just lines. It’s so relaxing just watching you and seeing how you don’t get upset if things are going a little different than expected. It’s the pen and paper talking to us. Not some stressful quest for perfection. And in the end you create your perfection. I love your attitude!
I draw on all sizes. This video was a long time ago so I don't recall the size on this. It was probably 3.5 inch square as I used that size a lot when I first started my channel
a blending stump is a pencil shaped stick made of paper pulp. a tortillion is rolled paper into a point. I show the difference between them here in this video at about the 16 minute mark ruclips.net/video/QdYHoK38FI8/видео.html
Please don’t apologize for your silence. It is enough to just watch you create. Much better then filling up the silence when you have nothing to say at the moment. Sheila
I don't know the name in spanish - it is called a blending stump or tortillion. maybe you can find the spanish version of this wiki page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tortillon

Don't give up. Its just a matter of practice. I've been doing art most of my life so I have practiced with drawing multiple decades.
Very nice! I love your style!❣️✍🏻👏🏻
Really enjoying your videos, I was about to throw in my Zentangle towel! Thanks for sharing.
Watching you is very relaxing.

So simple to do. Going to have to try that one - it might become a comfort tangle.
I am just flabbergasted that you can create such an amazing picture with just drawing lines, it is so beautiful ❤🤗❤🤗❤🤗❤🤗❤🦋
Absolutely Amazing, thank you so much 😊 ❤
I learned about scratchy paper and tearing up when I blend😄. Some papers don't blend hardly at all.
Очень красивый тангл, лайк!
The curve made this a great variation!!! I love it.
Thank you very much Mrs. Melinda, I'm in love with this tangle.
So very pretty...artistic lines and pattern 🎉
Thus is amazing
I’ve found you again! I’m so pleased❤
Nice way to meditate, beautiful!

That's just gorgeous Dawn, thank you for showing this. I'm thinking of drawing that on a card for my mum's birthday.
Amazing and you made it looks so easy
I really enjoyed. Trying to draw something. Weldon.
for cardstock I actually use a charcoal pencil. it gives some dramatic shading.

Están muy bonitas gracias por compartir tus trabajos
I like it too. Thank you
Love watching you draw & learning so much. Are you using a 4 x 4 piece of paper? Thanks
I draw on all sizes. This video was a long time ago so I don't recall the size on this. It was probably 3.5 inch square as I used that size a lot when I first started my channel
Thank you Dawn
Beautiful pattern! I thought a tortillion and a stump was two words for the same thing. What is the difference?

so gorgeous, your pen just does what a pens got to do, hahaha
👍👍😍
I love it curvy like this!!!
Than you very much Amazing ❤
Do it matter what size of paper? or any size will do. Thank you
It doesn't matter. I prefer to use sizes between 3 and 6 inches square, but I've used many different sizes.
Ok thank you!
so nice
❤❤❤
I like the 'curve'!
What pens are those? Excellent video though!!
it appears I used micron pen in this video.
👏👏👏👏👏
beautiful. :-D
Dawn, can you stil get to this pattern site? every time I try, I can’t seem to get the right website name to find it. Thanks!
No I'm afraid that the person who hosted the site stopped paying for it and it has been disconnected for almost 2 years now.
I tried this and it's not near as pretty as yours! I can't get the beginning petals even.
I appreciate your lack of chatter.
Woow
Como se llama en español el "lápiz" blanco que utiliza para difuminar? Podría alguien decirme??
I don't know the name in spanish - it is called a blending stump or tortillion. maybe you can find the spanish version of this wiki page
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tortillon
Según entiendo yo es un esfumino.

This is what i do on my channel. I learn a new pattern by following the pattern stepouts. Most of my 1,300+ videos is just like this one
I am not good at drawing can i have the trace of it
There is no trace of it. Go to the pattern-collections website and you can look up the steps to draw it.
What program is this?
I dont use a program. I follow the daily focus pattern at pattern-collections.com/index.php/pattern-focus/
Thanks so much! I really enjoy your tutorials!
quem veio pela margarete dnv?KKKKKKkkkkkk
Prefer no dialogue. So I mute. The chatter is intrusive.
Yup thats an option.
