Costco also had a sheet cake that was carrot cake with cheesecake filling and cream cheese frosting. I had this as my wedding cake and there wasn't a piece left. This was exactly 17 years ago and up until 10 years ago, they still had it.
If I bought a "cake that big", doesn't mean I would feel obligated to share it with anybody, lol. Freeze it in smaller portions. I'm grown and don't need a daddy, Costco.

You can still order the sheet cake at will, even customize it for your event but have to give them 24 hr notice. I used Costco for my wedding and some guests said it was the best cake they ever had. I find the “ Amazon attitude” amusing, people thinking everything can be accessed instantly, at whim with no prior planning like buying a large cake.
I loved the Costco's sheet cakes and the All- American Chocolate cake..For Birthdays and Anniversaries they are a must to have. They're that good. They're worth the price.
I didn't realize they had been discontinued because there is a large rack of them. But you are right, all of the ones on the rack are sold and you have to pre-order. Good to know.
The round cake is now $15.99, same as previous price for half sheet. Their costs went up and they probably couldn't sell the half sheet at that price anymore
Half sheet cakes are now $24.99 . With prices on ingredients and packaging going up they were loosing money on cakes. The loose money on rotisserie chicken and hotdogs already.
They got rid of the giant, round chocolate cake. And the chocolate frozen yogurt. And the Polish dog. And they changed the formula of the vanilla frozen yogurt, so now it's not tasty. Costco used to be fun, but now it's sadness. Oh yeah, they got rid of the combination pizza and the take and bake pizza. ☹️

by far the hardest part of fasting is the boredom. If you've never done a multiday fast, you have no idea the enormous amount of your daily time is spent thinking about, preparing, or eating food. Depending on your lifestyle, it can be really hard to fill all that extra free time. If you want a fast to be easy, start it when you are very busy

Thank you for the update on pricing. All things considered, still a great deal to feed a large gathering! If we're having 15+ people, this makes sense for a good and inexpensive dessert. We're in Fort Lauderdale, so assume the pricing in our area is similar to Miami.
I used to be a member but they would not let me in because I have a medical condition and exemption and can’t wear a mask/shield. I cancelled my membership and plan to never go back!
I’ve been a Sam’s Club member for years, I joined Costco for a year and this is one of the many reasons I didn’t renew my membership I thought their bakery was limited as it was but when I physically had to go in and fill out a paper to order a sheet cake for an event that was the last straw. I do love the spacing of their parking spots though.
The reason they make you fill out the form at the store is to avoid miscommunication where people say that's not what I ordered or wanted. I was a Bakery Manager at Costco they don't even put a phone in the bakeries.
Probably because of PETA, and LACEY Act. The woke crowd is trying to make most pets illegal. They are great!! Good price. They need to bring them back, and not raise the price.
