The Costco Visa is a vastly underestimated card. Assuming you have a Costco membership already, there's no annual fee and it gives you 4% on gas, 3% on travel and restaurants, 2% on Costco purchases and then 1% on everything else. But most importantly, it;'s basically the only card without an annual fee that still offers extended warranty protection on purchases. Other free cards got rid of that benefit in the last year. And it doesn't just extend the warranty by 12 months, but 24!
You should do a video on how you set up your taxes/S-Corp/LLC for the channel. That’d be super interesting, and how it goes with all your revenue streams! I’m thinking about doing that for my channel to at least write off all this paint. Haha

Good list! However the Wells Fargo American Express Propel card would be my favorite overall card! Super strong rewards percentage, 0% intro, cash sign up bonus and no fee. You just need to have a Wells Fargo account.

for people that don't travel, us bank altitude go is a better dining card imo. 4% cash back no annual fee and 200 bonus when you spend 1000 in 3 months.
The general cash back cards are ones I seek out since my purchases are generally just for living. I had a 1.5% and had not seen a better one (except my 5% back one for gas) but I just applied and got the citi one pretty hyped about it. Thanks for the info.
I ended up getting targeted offers earlier this year for 50K points with Amex Gold and 80K points with Chase Sapphire Preferred and I'm now a proud owner of the two! I may upgrade to the Reserve later down the road but I'm happy with my setup right now since I'm still a fresh college grad

Hi. Huge fan of your channel. So I’ve pretty much listened to all your advise on credit cards. Before I found your channel, I did get the Apple Card. After I saw your video, I was like oh no. But, I think it’s a pretty good card. Most places now have Apple Pay and the 3% can also be used in the monthly subscriptions if you buy on the Apple store. So it’s actually a pretty good card for starting people. Just wanted to add that since everything is very “no touchy” now a days. But this is mostly just for cash back. Which you’ve stated there are a lot of options, but I think the Apple should be added to the list of good starting cards. Just thought I’d share. I really enjoy watching your videos! Mahalo!

Hey Graham I have the Capital One Quick Silver card and used it exactly has you pro-ported and the Capital one Platinum too, my mistake was getting the Credit one card, misleading advertisement about 5 % cash back but once I got the card, I found about all the stores not eligible, bad card, you live and learn, all cards are paid off as well, great videos man
The best card I’ve found to get the most bang for your buck is the American Express Hilton honors Card you can get up to 150,000 bonus points if you spend 3-4k in the first 3 months which there might be other things you can claim the points for but you can get up to 6-8 nights in a Hilton hotel depending on what kind of room you get and when you go, i’ve seen rooms for as little as 18,000 points per night

Pro tip: Call them and let them know you want to cancel your card due to the travel benefits not being as useful. They will offer you pretty good rewards to keep the card. I got 30k points and $200 travel credit doing it on my amex platinum.
I prefer the cash back credit cards cause I am already going to spend that money, so I might as well earn money back on what I am already spending. I do have a miles card for all my travel related expenses, but I use the cash back card on every thing else. And I always make sure to pay off the credit card every month.

Just got my double cash card 2 months ago and I love it! I put as much of my normal bills on there as I can so I can rake in my 2%. Great card that I don't have to worry about 1%, 3%, or 5% toward certain categories. That's a pain and not worth my time to track it all. 2% on everything!!
I got a 0% BoA card and used it to buy solar panels for my house. (Tesla lets you use PayPal to pay for solar) I have the money to just pay it off but I'm letting that sit in my CapitalOne 360 account earning 1% while I pay the minimum for the next 16 months. After that I'll just pay it in full to avoid paying any interest and pocket what I earned, essentially getting paid to borrow money.
It's worth noting for the Citi Double Cash card you don't get 1% cash back on any portion of your balance that you pay off with cash back you have accumulated. It's better to always pay off the card and have them send you a check with your cash back.

Every credit card video always has the Citi double cash card as the flat 2%. The Alliant card gives you the same 2%, plus a signup bonus, plus a no fee checking and savings if you want it (and the savings interest rate is even decent though you can do much better).

Hi. Huge fan of your channel. So I’ve pretty much listened to all your advise on credit cards. Before I found your channel, I did get the Apple Card. After I saw your video, I was like oh no. But, I think it’s a pretty good card. Most places now have Apple Pay and the 3% can also be used in the monthly subscriptions if you buy on the Apple store. So it’s actually a pretty good card for starting people. Just wanted to add that since everything is very “no touchy” now a days. But this is mostly just for cash back. Which you’ve stated there are a lot of options, but I think the Apple should be added to the list of good starting cards. Just thought I’d share. I really enjoy watching your videos! Mahalo!

Hey Graham I have the Capital One Quick Silver card and used it exactly has you pro-ported and the Capital one Platinum too, my mistake was getting the Credit one card, misleading advertisement about 5 % cash back but once I got the card, I found about all the stores not eligible, bad card, you live and learn, all cards are paid off as well, great videos man

Pro tip: Call them and let them know you want to cancel your card due to the travel benefits not being as useful. They will offer you pretty good rewards to keep the card. I got 30k points and $200 travel credit doing it on my amex platinum.
I prefer the cash back credit cards cause I am already going to spend that money, so I might as well earn money back on what I am already spending. I do have a miles card for all my travel related expenses, but I use the cash back card on every thing else. And I always make sure to pay off the credit card every month.

Just got my double cash card 2 months ago and I love it! I put as much of my normal bills on there as I can so I can rake in my 2%. Great card that I don't have to worry about 1%, 3%, or 5% toward certain categories. That's a pain and not worth my time to track it all. 2% on everything!!

I got a 0% BoA card and used it to buy solar panels for my house. (Tesla lets you use PayPal to pay for solar) I have the money to just pay it off but I'm letting that sit in my CapitalOne 360 account earning 1% while I pay the minimum for the next 16 months. After that I'll just pay it in full to avoid paying any interest and pocket what I earned, essentially getting paid to borrow money.
It's worth noting for the Citi Double Cash card you don't get 1% cash back on any portion of your balance that you pay off with cash back you have accumulated. It's better to always pay off the card and have them send you a check with your cash back.

Every credit card video always has the Citi double cash card as the flat 2%. The Alliant card gives you the same 2%, plus a signup bonus, plus a no fee checking and savings if you want it (and the savings interest rate is even decent though you can do much better).
