hey Sam, it is nice to see that you continue working on yout youtube channel. now tell us, how is it being back in the us. i was living abroad (england and canada) for a few years, and when i came back to germany i was really happy but it was very strange at the same time. now tell us, how do you feel and what are you up to? will you keep going with youtube and especially with your german audience?

I can't help it, but everytime I think about american education, the first things that come to my mind is "dumb" and "stupid"
+d00rs American education is objectively worse than European (Germany, GB etc.) for example. soo yeah

+Emily T.T. Showbiz I think he's just playing off the stereotype that Americans are all dumb and stupid. So apparently that stereotype also reflects on our universities as well. You know...universities that we pay thousands on tuition and spend the next 10-20 years in debt to attend so we can continue to be "dumb and stupid." Also, Dominik, a lot of us know our K-12 education sucks. I mean, I was subjected to thirteen years of it. I'm just so tired of people dismissing all of us as dumb and stupid when you have no idea how many of us work our asses off to even dream of applying to a university ike UCLA which is not even ranked the highest in the entire country.
+Ashly Sors: Please, don't worry about it. Obviously, improvements could be made in the American school system - just like in Germany's, Australia's, GB's and about every other country's school system. Do I think American schools are perfect? No. However, are schools in other countries perfect? Imo, no. What do you care about some random youtube user's opinion. Keep up the work and my fingers are crossed for you to get into UCLA or wherever you guys want to go. :)

so what the heck is college? i always thought college means university. like in germany, when you are 19/20 after finishing gymnasium you go to the university. but in america you have college and then university. also why are all so young? Sam, pls explain and how old are you? i think 19
i went to university for 9 semester. the first one was really weird. everyone is new to the whole thing and so young and hyperactive lol...by semester 3 i never saw anyone from semester 1, although at that time you had the classical group building behaviour. i only kept with one person in touch...i will marry her next year :D
I think you're thinking of the British school system, where they have college and university as seperate things. In America, "college" and "university" are interchangeable terms. Usually someone goes to high school from ages 14-18 and then goes to college (aka university) after that. So that why it makes sense here for a 18/19 year old to be starting university.

Nope! There is no difference between a college and a "real" university lol. The first 4 years you go to college you get your bachelor degree, and then if you want to continue and get your master's degree it takes a few more years at college.
+Emily T.T. Showbiz . Funfact about Germany and it's educational System. We actual have two types of University. One you could have called college, but now they changed the Name in general into "University of applied science" .

hello guys,I want to ask for advice, I want to study in Germany and already pass! B1, but the problem is I want to take drama or musical drama(opera) hochschule but Im kinda not sure about my future if I take this subject. It's my dream and passion from childhood to act and being in opera and I can sing countertenor too. My friend and teacher told me I should take drama hochschule but my parents aren't to sure. The choice is in my hand but I can't make up my mind should I change to other faculty? How about my future? Can auslander really work in this subject In Germany? So I need to ask for your advice.. Sorry for bad English I'm not native English speaker :) Thanks in advance.

People will say "I'll be in college next year," but rarely ever "I'll be in university..." University seems like a more formal description of the place. Also, some institutions officially label themselves as a College and some as a University -- For example, Boston College and the University of Massachusetts. But at both places students would commonly say they are in "college." There is also the general perception that schools labeled "..... College" are small and that schools labeled "..... University" are larger and offer more comprehensive studies.

Somehow I associate USA colleges with huge dorm room orgy parties where everyone is naked and doing things with everyone else... I don't know why though. I never went to a US college, and in German universities most people live in a normal apartment, plus the "Studentenwohnheime" we have are nothing alike.
