As a healthcare worker, You need to take her to an actual Medical Dr. Chiropractors are not Dr.s!

You don’t even need a license to practice 😂
You need a medical doctor to document this and put all the costs against the insurance of the person that causes the accident. Back injuries can make you disabled. I had a friend get a small fracture. She had so much pain she can’t walk. She was not that old. A chiropractor is not who you see first. It’s usually who you see after to ensure other parts of back are ok. I’ve never heard of doing chiropractic on a back with a fresh fracture. Maybe laws are more strict here
A chiropractor will take X-rays immediately after an accident whereas if you go to urgent care or the ER they may or may not and chiropractors can read their own X-rays immediately, accurately even with hairline fractures whereas Medical Doctors require a Radiologist which c an take days. I’ve had Radiologists miss significant things on an X-ray where as the Doctor of Chiropractic saw it. Actually in CO the Chiropractor I had review my X-rays after a Radiologist missed significant issues, saw things in the X-ray and he is so good at reading X-rays he teaches at the Medical schools in CO and he wrote the textbook for Medical Doctor students to learn to read X-rays accurately. Sometimes Ohysicians in an ER will not even order an X-ray. They have different protocols than Chiropractors because they bill insurance and you can’t just order an X-ray just because you had an accident. You have to prove their is damage before and cause enough to order one, and no in the medical field just being in a car accident is not necessarily enough cause. I’m a Certified Medical Coder and do I am very familiar with how this process works and believe me you’d think the Medicsl Doctors in a hospital would automatically order and X-ray and give you the same info and do it quickly but it really is much easier to go to a chiropractor after a car accident and they actually have more training in this and are more accurate with results than any MD would. A Chiropractor will not adjust you without performing any X-rays or reading some before they ever start adjusting you and if you’ve been in any accident they will always do X-rays first. I was in a car accident and barely had any issue but I had an appointment later the same day so I still went and after I told them what happened they immediately did X-rays and started a work comp claim because I was technically driving for my job. They did all the billing paper work and all I had to do was show up. I never had to pay. Chiropractors have a lot more experience with reading X-rays and understanding these type of traumatic injuries in patients and knowing how to safely test the human body for what exactly is going on with the bones. A medical Dr has no clue and will only diagnose if a bone is broke, sometimes, and tell you to drink milk to help with the bone healing but there is much more then that to healing a bone. They also put contraptions on incorrectly all the time which can cause more damage because their specialty isn’t how the bones and muscles move together properly, even Physicsl Therapists won’t have as much coursework in studying how the bones, muscles and nerves interact and how that affects how the body moves etc. the only physician with more Neurology studies during their coursework to become a Dr is. Neurosurgeon. Chiropractors even have more than Orthopedic surgeons. I think orthopedic surgeons should have to take more since they are the ones cutting you open to “fix” bones.. often they cause more harm than good. The orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons in my local areas that perform neck and back surgeries do not havegood overall outcomes

Listen to this advice-go to an orthopedic now -I’ve had unfortunately many fractures and a couple didn’t healed correctly -I have issues in those areas now which is years later -🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'm praying for Symphony!! 🙏🏻 Father God I ask you to heal this young beautiful girl! I ask that you give her a full and complete restoration from the Top of her head, to the Tips of her toes!! Everything in between!! I ask that you take away her pain! Father God I ask for your guidance for her and her parents! I ask you to guide them down the right path to a full healing!! Whatever doctors they need to see Lord I ask you to put it upon their hearts so they know it is of you!! For her parents Father God I ask you to give them some form of peace and comfort during this most difficult time!! I Pray this all in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!!

I would be seeing a dr not a chiropractor over this. You don’t want to loose feeling in body parts including ability to know when to use the bathroom
For the love of god please see your MD first. I use to manage a chiropractic office and he would NEVER TOUCH SOMEONE WITH A FRACTURE!

Must not be that bad if she not wearing a brace or in the hospital or able to handle car rides unless iam wrong wrong. Wonder or hope she don't need surgery

I’m sorry about Symphony’s back. I fractured one of my vertebrae after being in a car accident in 2001. I had to have a spinal fusion and now I have six screws and rods in my back.

Why would you take her to a chiropractor instead of a doctor? This is totally irresponsible of you! What happens if they cause her to be paralyzed? It’s totally on you. My son broke his neck at 16. We were told he had just bruised his neck. Another doctor looked at his scans and saw he had cracked inside of his spinal cord. He was on the verge of dying! They had to rush him into surgery. This was from the first doctor saying he was fine!

Nia, what was the doctor saying that Symphony has a fracture in her spine ? Treatment is only chiropractor? If that's the treatment I would get another opinion. I have a terrible back and have since 36 years ago. I tried to work and I had to go for disability. If the back is messed up it's debilitating. I wouldn't want that for Symphony.
Back pain/spine pain is the worse pain of all and it can effect arms, legs and everything! Im 54 and disabled and my back spine never goes away. Prayers for symphany.
Yes if have a bad back you're screwed. 36 years ago I was pregnant no problems of any all 9 months. Had an epidural to do a c section and back pain since. My back degenerated really fast. I couldn't work long that I had to go for disability 17 years ago and I'm 58. Pain in my back and legs and feet everyday. Sciatica is terrible. I wouldn't want a beautiful young girl like Symphony to deal with this. I couldn't even have another child.

I'm so proud of Abram. He has come so far from the little boy that was frightened over lots of things. Sam, you let Abram get where he would be ready.

Please take her to a normal doctor!!!! Never chiropractors. I have a bilateral fracture in my spine, herniated disc, spondylolisthesis and it went unnoticed and now I also have bilateral sacoilitis because it got worse. I now need to have surgery and I’m only 20 years old. Please please please take her to a spinal orthopedic surgeon, this is much more serious than a chiropractor.

It’s kinda messed up you haven’t taken her to a proper medical doctor. After studying medicine any form of a car accident should be an automatic ER visit and follow up with doctors. Not a chiropractor. A chiropractor is for treatment after a doctor recommended a it. My partner fractured his back in an accident and I can tell you they didn’t recommend a chiropractor. He still has severe pain and looses feeling and sensation because of not getting it seen to properly (his work didn’t believe him)
Is it an option to be volleyball manager? That way she maintains friendships and it’s not so hard to join when she can play?
I have 5 fractures in my spine as a result of a fall at church when I was 11. It was painful, but they healed nicely. I have a little pain now and then from them, but not too bad. Praying for complete and quick healing.

Last year on April 8th I was in a car accident with my bf I fractured my spine in 2 different places and now have a bulging dic it been almost a whole year since the accident and I’m still suffering with back pain with running jumping even standing it causes pain my doctor says it normal bc my muscles are still week bc I’ve only been out of a brace for 5 months I hope she get a fast and easy recovery and god watches over her healing process I wish the best tell her she’ll be better soon ❤️
I’m sure if the chiropractor thought she needed a specialist they would refer her as mine referred me, the “medical professionals “ didn’t even bother to x ray or scan either hub or myself after a multi rollover accident!!
I'm glad you got her treatment.. I fractured my spine due to an elderly client pulling me and pushing me into a metal support bar.
And I didn't seek medical treatment till 2 weeks later, and I still worked, I did to much damage, and was medically retired from being a support worker at 25.

My husband fractured his spine in 2 places falling off some equipment at work in September 2022. He is still suffering from pain from it today. Praying for Symphony that she heal completely and have no lasting effects. This accident could have been tragic, as hard as they were hit from behind, Symphony and her friend sitting in the back seat are so lucky they weren't seriously injured or worse. Praise the Lord it's not as bad as it could have been.
