You guys gave her a fighting chance at survival, and that's all anyone can hope for. Now it's up to her will to live and Mother Nature to pull her through. Well done, guys. You are all such an inspiration, and I love that you often bring your kids with you, as it will ensure that there's another generation of selfless humans willing to head out in the middle of the night to save a beached fish!
Thank you OCN and friends for dropping everything to come to her assistance. Marine life in Namibia is so lucky to have you. May many blessings rain down on you for your selfless work and dedication. ❤😇
You are all so amazing. Not only did you get her into the water but you stayed until she was strong enough to swim alone. I can't imagine the water was very warm at that time of night but there was no hesitation or complaining. You were just there to save her. You are heroes.
Alife is a life no matter the shape and size, being part of humanity is what this should be about from everybody, so glad you guys could do what you did for her, such a gentle creature and has you guys as guardian angels this night, big thanks to whoever called you guys as many wouldn't care enough.
The dedication of this team needs a shout-out to the world. I would love to see a documentary that can be seen on mainstream TV. I came across OCN only by chance on RUclips. That is a crying shame. Even a short documentary on Animal Planet......something......anything to get the rest of the world on board. Even if its just to educate people about what happens to millions of animals at the hands of our ignorance. One simple fishing line can be like a slow death by 1,000 cuts for its unfortunate victim. It's gut-wrenching to see the damage. My deepest respect and honor to those who are hands-on rescuers. Thank you for being their angels.
Thank you so much for these kind words..we really would not be able to do as much as we try without the continued support from our followers just like you. 🤗
@@OceanConservationNamibia I do hope to see a documentary on Animal Planet. I am going to try to contact them myself. I can't even imagine what's floating beneath the surface causing untold suffering and death. I've always done my part to rescue animals. I'm really going to try and get something done. All the best Seal Rescurers!!!! Thank you for all you do!!!!
WOW....Brave to take that HuGh....Sun Fish back out in the ocean in the dark. Thank You for answering a distress call for help and doing all you could do to keep her safe. God's Soldiers. 🌿🌎🕊
Is there anything OCN Team won’t save?!?!? Truly brilliant!! The compassion from OCN Team & friends are a wonderful example to all 🤜♥️🤛🌍 A Hui Hou 🏝😎 🐳
Thank you for sharing this unusual rescue, OCN! Hope the Mola Mola made it and continues to grace the waters offshore from where you patrol. Bless all your great efforts!
What's the difference between superheroes and OCN?? - got a call at night for someone to help? Check ✅ - instant arrival without any hesitation at the place? Check ✅ - quick and majestic help? Check ✅ - Wearing underpants upon the pants? Naaah that's too much 🤭 Seriously though, each and every single one of you is truly a superhero! And I'm so grateful that we can be a witnesses of your kidness and big hearts 💖 much much love to you, thanks a lot for all the lives you saved! 💯 🙏
Incredible rescue! You all possess the souls of saints. Bless you all and the animals you’re trying to save. You all give so many people a great inspiration that not all humanity is selfish and uncaring.
Naude, I came upon this segment with the mola mola quite by accident. I've only to this point been watching ALL of your seal rescues mostly at Pelican Point and Cape Cross. I was so freaking impressed by how you care about EVERY. FREAKING. THING. !! You are an angel whose feet walk the Earth. You are a saint amongst men.
A truly unique episode, rescuing an ocean dweller that wasn't a seal! It's odd that a mola mola would end up on the rocks. A rogue wave caught and tossed it? Weird, but so glad you were available to help it! Thumbs up!
We hope she will make it. During sulphur eruptions, there is very little oxygen in the water. Fish often comes to shore, even crayfish just walk out of the water, gasping for air. In the waves, close to shore, there might be a bit more oxygen in the water, and we assume that she was trying to get some extra oxygen, and then she could not swim back again. Very tragic, but hopefully this will have a happy ending.
Oh it broke my heart to see her bleed 😢 I hope she healed from the ordeal. In any case I'm sure she was so grateful you helped her back into her element. Bless her and all of you 🙏
If it was any other fish I would say it was injured or sick , but mola mola do a lot of drifting :) Like us humans in evolution being the newest primates , mola mola is a relative new species of fish and very cool . great work guys !!
I didn’t realize this is an OCN video, I focused just on the mola mola and that help it needs although I watch almost every seal rescue :) Each and every life is precious and all the people on the beach the other night are making a fine example for all of us.
What an unusual looking seal! ^^ Very much hope that she'll make it, but at the very least she got to go back to the sea rather than lie on the rocks waiting for a slow death. A big thank you for your work, as always!
🇧🇷 poor baby, hope she had make it ... didn't know this animal , seems really huge and as I notice, heavy. Thank guys for making a difference in our ocean's animals. Hugs from Brazil 💋💜🇧🇷

What an amazing rescue! So lucky someone noticed her AND let you know she needed help. I only wish the rescue had been in daylight, to see her swimming away. Like manta rays, the gentle ocean giants have always been my favorite sources of wonder.
Whaaat a beeaast! What a beauty! 😍 Gorgeous creature!! I've just realised that I've never seen even a single vid about it...but now she's so close captured! 😍😍 Just wow!
Whoa! I've never heard of Mola Mola before. You said 400kg but until I actually saw all the people almost dwarfed by this _huge_ fish I really couldn't grasp the extreme size especially as I'm rural UK, sheep, foxes, hares and deer are what I'm used to. This really was an incredible rescue, the poor fish would have been absolutely exhausted. I'm pretty sure that you all were all knackered too! Awesome rescue OCN and friends 💖💖

This is one of those creatures you've seen pictures off, but when you see it on camera like this, you suddenly realize how big it really is.
And this one was a young one!! They can grow more than twice that size!
