- The summer Olympic games are underway in Tokyo, Japan however the celebration of sport is taking place under unprecedented circumstances due to COVID-19.
Very few spectators are allowed, some athletes have actually contracted COVID, while some have dropped out of the competition and others are in quarantine. In fact, the entire city of Tokyo is in a state of emergency due to rising COVID cases, with daily infections now at a six-month high.
All this has affected the many Christian ministries which see the Olympic games as a unique opportunity to preach the Gospel.
Forced to pivot from their usual focus on sending personal evangelism teams, many are now focusing on digital ministry. That includes a virtual prayer journey developed by Athletes in Action and the Jesus Film Project.

I am living in Japan. My church is nice. The pastor and his wife are young. I am praying for a huge revival in Japan in these last days. God bless!
I fully believe God is going to bring revival in a big way to Japan and I have had dreams since I dedicated my live to Jesus as a 12 year old, I would weep for Japan and weep for people my age in Japan and weep out of desperation for God to send me someday. I don't understand everything going on, but I have quite a testimony of depression and suicide and how I am forever marked by Jesus and what he has done. Only Because of Jesus can we wake from death and return to life. I believe that for Japan which is why I love that proverb so much. I have repurposed it in my live in the last decade for my own story of healing.

I will pray for Japan to be visited by the Holy Spirit in an incredible way that hope, life, and God true love for humanity and nature would be embraced. and I pray God sends me personally, as a missionary to Japan to spread the good news about Jesus so that they may know that he isn't a western thought. He is the God of the Universe and he died to redeem it!
Lord send me someone to learn Japanese from and partner with so that someday we too can preach and teach and evangelize the love of Jesus to the Japanese.

My church team went to Japan for a mission trip to bring love of God there. I've Japanese friends and their culture is so deeply seated in idolatry, self, pleasures (escapism), materialism etc. Only through crisis and disaster ppl are open to gospel. May the church in Japan rise up and shine brightly empowered by the Holy Spirit

@@glittersilver7779 I grew up in Japan (my grandparents were missionaries), and there are definitely very few Christians. Our organization is called the Bible Distribution League and we mainly hand out literature on the streets/door to door, and outside of schools, put up signs with Gospel messages, and broadcast Gospel messages from speaker cars (broadcasting with loud speakers is a common practice in Japan)
With the methods we use, we don't often see results, but occasionally we meet people who have been saved through our teams work years ago. Such occasions remind us that our work is not in vain and that if we diligently sow the seed God will make it grow.
Our team's work is sometimes criticized by other Christians as ineffective or the message too harsh, and I'm sure that we have room for improvement, but I also believe that if we don't talk about sin and hell, then the meaning of salvation and God's love is lost.
As mentioned in the video there are too many Jehovah's witnesses out evangelizing and too few Christians out with the true Gospel message.
Right now I am doing similar mission work in Thailand. Please continue to pray for Japan and for Thailand as well

I am Christian and lived in Japan for 25 years . Japanese are Wonderful people and they are open for Christ . There are very few Christian who live or come to Japan to share the Word of God . Japanese don't speak English . as Christian we should learn their language and understand Japanese people and of course respect them , as Christian we ought to Love and be patient and show how is to be a Christian as I mentioned take time and lots of Love . Japan is perfect place to share the Word of God . we shouldn't compare them or judge or complain about them or say unimportant things we have enough in this world . a Real Christian focus What the Word of God says and How we as Christian ought to Practice our faith . I Know for sure God Loves Japan and He wants them to get to Know Him .

Yes, for sure. The demonic activity here is extremely large. Japanese god - as they say - is the ruler here. Dragons, statues of Buddha, idols made of stone, metal, wood are everywhere, idols in caves, shrines, temples, frog-like looking gods in the center of Tokyo. Japan is a book example of what paganism is.

It’s important to preach to all ages. No body knows when they are going to die. Also it’s not about signs and wonders, it’s all about Jesus and what He has done for every individual. Last week I dreamed about a Japanese girl called Yumo. She came to Australia as an exchange student and committed herself to Jesus. My husband and I went to find her and start a church in her town. When we found her she had sadly given into family pressure to drop her Christian faith and she had returned to the temple. My husband and I were missionaries in Thailand, and where they follow Theravada Buddhism. Like the Japanese the churches struggle until the Holy Spirit awakens them and they are led by their own. I understand how difficult it must be to stand out from the crowd. All of us need to remember that our citizenship is in heaven and we share a common father regardless of where we live or what we look like. SGM Japan you have been born again into a new family, and from every tribe, and nation and tongue. Don't allow yourself to grow cold towards Jesus, and who died for you.

I just had a dream about Japan. Big flooding buildings collapsing. I already had a similar dream in november about Japan. I live in France and have never been to Japan.
Lord I pray for a pouring of your Holy Spirit on this country, that there is a revival in churches in Japan that they get to really know you and who you are. Break down the ties of shame that are so present in this country because where your spirit is there is liberty.

Also, the company must be number one in their lives, and forms of personal expression are generally frowned on. Japan is the least free of the OECD countries (before corona).
@@statutesofthelord I was a former ESL teacher and I have met many Japanese students and I can assure you, not one Japanese student littered around, misbehaved like an animal in public. Many of them are courteous and respectful even if some of them don't like you at least they show respect... And most of them are clean people.

Problem is different....in an highly mechanised setup....like Japan...
Direct connection between God and man/woman, if maintained in tact through an unshakable faith, is sufficient to face the issues coming in life.
But, the problem is..... people take God at par with any other thing in the materialistic world.
If any religion comes in between God and an individual, the connection is corrupted !
This is because.....
Religious preachers should detach themselves once the teaching is over... but that is not happening....they remain always in between God and man...... man knows how to speak with his God like a child can speak with it's mother ! why then a service-provider in between whose interest is totally different !
If the Mind is self-centered and result oriented then every happening becomes a thrill or problem.
On the other hand if the Mind is selfless and purpose oriented then every happening becomes a game set by God Himself!

I lived in Japan for 2 years. They are very humble and gentle people... I hope that Christianity may spread rapidly in Japan and that they may turn to Jesus Christ
Since the priest backs the holy eucharist and faces congregation during holy mass.
The church has stopped growing.
The traditional mass kept the focus on God. Now the priest put that spotlight on themselves. Mass is less worship more a TED talk.
Let's go back to tradition it worked for 2000 yrs, why did it change?
