A bit suprisingly this is a true testament to evolving strat and skill of the human players! 2 years later, current human WR stands at mere 2 min 27 sec slower.

first i have to join the people who think that this TAS run has been incredible. GRATS !!! @Nefrums: i just wanted to suggest to improve the program a little to beat the 1:15:21 multiplayer record, but YOU probably will stay ahead all the time, having just (while i watched this video) improved your old record once again to only 1:08:01 ... GRATS to all your team !!! ... now waiting for "
My God simply adding rain in the background of this was a god send I fucking love it and it was just nice background thank you so much as it made this nicer on the ears
I'm a new player, I don't understand 90% of what's happening, but it looks really impressive, it probably didn't take just 6 months and 500 hours of programming, but also thousands of hours worth of experience with the game
1.0 has different recipes and research requirements compare to 0.18 (and short reach), so if redone the TAS could be somewhat faster, maybe sub 1:15h. Yeah those speedrunners are pretty awesome.
Is is really worth the time to walk over to your initial burner miners over and over? And a lot of time was spent mining rocks when you could just build around? Walking out of the way to cut down trees. Sorry if I sound critical--this is amazing. But there're improvements possible.
collect iron from all chests and then store it in the two bottom chest of upper group and two upper chest of bottom group check by yourself. use the "" buttons to look frame by frame
Not quite. He probably did a full run through on this exact seed, but every movement and click and craft was optimized. That's why movements are so exact and jittery.
Do you think you could do it better if you were to start again from stratch? Even though it's crazy, i feel like i see a few flubs here or there, but it might be i don't understand why you did them initially. Replacing power poles, removing a few objects, etc.
Also, amazing freaking work. I love watching this vid; seeing this "wall of creation" as your character walks is just so satisfying, even more satisfying then bots~
move speed is almost never limiting factor in any%, resource is big and close to each other. with faster speed he will just stay and wait for items being produced to place.
Powered exoskeleton, modular armor, and solar panels are probably not worth investing in. But I think a car would be. You can build from a car; the tricky part is not running into things. But with perfect controls--
@@hiddenxalpha7053 The other reply is correct, it seems to be a video compression thing. To recreate the problem: Watch on 1080p, but with the window too small. When it shrinks the video to fit it makes the ore patches on the minimap look like they flicker.
Good. The quicker we beat this game, the less time we need to play it- and it's best we spend the minimum amount of time possible playing this because the dev suuuuuuuuuucks.
This is what turn-based players look like in real time.
Tasbot: I'll go as fast as I can
Trees and Rocks: _we'll see about that_
Achievement complete: Laziest bastard. Automate everything and launch the rocket.
Who needs blueprints when you are the blueprint!
Who needs bots when you are the bot
This is by far one of the most peaceful videos of any game i have ever seen. Loved it.
Building anything without turning half of what you build around 10 times is freaky to watch. Great work.
The pre-planning is crazy
A bit suprisingly this is a true testament to evolving strat and skill of the human players! 2 years later, current human WR stands at mere 2 min 27 sec slower.
really shows how unoptimised this run was
And now the human WR has it beaten by 2 minutes and 14 seconds!
I can't imagine the amount of effort that went into this. This is absolutely incredible, well done.
50:04 - 50:50 The most satisfying part of the video imo, and it's a perfect loop!
Very nice. And I like the red chips design, visible at 44:44! I've not seen that, but I dig it; looks super easy to enlengthen ad nauseum. :D
Man! This is so cool!! I have been waiting a long time for this and I'm not disappointed :D
This is so cool! How long time did it take to program the tas bot?

We should just do this instead of the normal speedruns. We could hit the restroom or do pushups while speedrunning instead of executing tasks. 😎

@@chi-feng Is it programming or do you guide it in real time frame by frame?
This is honestly what I think your dreams look like, just wandering around at the base forms around you.

Are there rain sounds? I only noticed game sounds... :-o (But, I didn't have headphones on, so... ?!?)
Nah those are machines. There's so many of them that it just sounds like rain
very cool indeed. I especially like the detail where the final time is written with belt in the end. Its gonna be a hard one to beat without tools!!
Imagine bots continously fills his inventory with the items needed for building. It would probably go wild.
When I watch this I almost feel it was planned
Dude this is planned to an absurd detail for example crafting que was set from the start
it was planned though. thats the whole point

I have almost 4k hours on this game and even I have keeping up
Multiple times I was like "wut when did he automated that"
It's crazy that the human speedrun time has now outpaced this run
She: My parents will leave in one and a half hour from now
You, on another planet:
this man automated an automation game
"Hey, babe. Can you come over?"
I can't, I'm stranded on an alien planet.
"My parents aren't home."
i love that the tas is only 4 minutes faster than normal.

Crazy that the new any% wr from a human is faster than this now.
if only you could instantly remove belts, the belt speedup movement tec whould be crazy :D
Amazing effort!
mind-blowing
If a machine can do it in 1 hour, a human couldn't possibly in 20.
Looks awesome! Did you get a chance to publish the short-hand grammar anywhere? I'd be really interested to see what you did at a higher level.
0:43 2D Death Stranding
can you set the rocket to launch unattended in order to save a bunch of time? since TASes end on the last input
Will be waiting for end-game optimisation!
Why stop at 5 beacons? He was just waiting around for the rocket to build.

He's collecting resources to be handcrafting. Trees are for power poles. Mining rocks is the fastest way to get stone for smelters.
This is not humanly possible.
The construction bots are traumatized.
that is the thing... it is a TAS xdxdxd
Couldn't he had beaconed the silo some more?
So amazing, what a brain.
Can't find 0.18.17 in Steam Betas. There are just 0.18.24 and up
57:44 wtf happened with the iron?
collect iron from all chests and then store it in the two bottom chest of upper group and two upper chest of bottom group
check by yourself. use the "" buttons to look frame by frame
Is this a only big makro? Recorded by a run and then the move and click times optimezed? :D
Not quite. He probably did a full run through on this exact seed, but every movement and click and craft was optimized. That's why movements are so exact and jittery.
@@antanis Ah ok thx. :D
Does anyone know what music this is?
No productivity modules on higher sciences?
Prod modules slow down production. It doesn't look like resources are the limiting factor so there isn't a need to save them
Man has automated automation
how do you craft thing if the inventory is offscreen? just wondering

Is it just me or could I just now sit and complete factorio in one sitting?
You could easily do that if you know what you are doing.
Damn these speeduns do look interesting
But i can't understand shit because i haven't played the game
Simple explanation of the game: doing stuff by hand takes too long, so you build robot slaves to launch a rocket for you.
very impressive but i bet there is tons of time for improvement
I wish the vid wasn't muted :(
It seems that most of the time is just running around, did you consider investing in movement speed?

Why is the minimap flickering?
When? Ores at all time? Because video compressed.
Do you mean the thing just below the minimap? Or the actual minimap itself? Only 3 minutes in currently, but haven't noticed it?

Who needs inserters anyways..
Nyoom.

Aww, man. I ruined the 420 likes in this video. I'll remove it. EVERYONE: KEEP THE VIDEO AT 420!

This is not a correct run. Its a cheats ein.
it literally has TAS in the name
Don’t put WR in the title because it’s just false
Is there a faster Any% TAS of this game?
