I personally don't mind how bright his orange vest is, but I really wish his pants had the pin stripes. At the $30 price point they definitely should've added them.
This is a very near perfect classic Penguin figure....the only thing really stifling it being that price. Great review as always Jason! Also using a pebble for scale and putting a top hat on stealth Iron Man are some of my new favorite gags of yours!😂
That The Pebble and the Penguin reference killed me. I watched it so many times on VHS as a kid. The amount of humor and effort you put into your reviews is amazing. Thanks again for the laughs and review.
On a semi-related note, its interesting how so many Batman characters have had purple in their designs over the years. Bats himself in his first appearance and Rebirth. Obviously Joker, Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman. But also golden age Two-Face, BTAS Mr. Freeze, Arkham Origins Killer Croc and heck, even Killer Moth!
It's pretty easy to make one of those cig holders like he uses. A tooth pick, a tiny strip of paper, a glue stick and some markers or paint is all you need. I made one for my old Penguin several years back

All I can think of is Burges Merideth saying “He’s got a lifetimes supply of butane gas!” while Bruce throws his lighter into the furnace he’s slowly I chin toward on a conveyor belt.
I definitely think this penguin figure is awesome, so I'll definitely be on the lookout for him. I've been wanting a good penguin figure, and I think this one will be perfect for me.
I thought the fact you scaled penguin with a pebble, I fell on the floor laughing so hard. I do hope I'll find him either at a Walmart or Target. I hate how my walmart gets stuff really late compared to other places I check. But nonetheless, this penguin is really good, and I prefer him over the arkham City version.

I'm going to be kitbashing this figure with Arkham City one to create a Rebirth style Penguin. It wouldn't be that hard to mod the bodies to be able to have the collar and bowtie from this figure with the coat and vest from that figure.
If you're only only getting one, it really boils down to what style of display you want. If you want your Batman Rogues darker and grimier, go with Arkham. If Classic is your jam, this is the one

I prefer classic, but that's because my taste skew more retro in general. If you prefer a more modern, grittier Batman display, Arkham fits that vibe better
I still have penguin figure from toy biz 1990 as you have. I’m looking forward to getting this. I have the Arkham one, from the Batman and the 60s Batman show. I put the 60s one with other villains on the Batman the animated series JokerMobile. Will you get that?
Getting the Platinum for my classic Batman rogues would be nice, but it's definitely not something I 100% need. My friend's way more of a Penguin fan than I am.

McFarlane needs to get rid of the stupid, useless card holder. At $30, I'd rather have more accessories packed with the figure in place of the card holder. More extra hands and an extra umbrella that's opened, and maybe even add a penguin bird or two with it.
I had filmed a section discussing the lack of an open umbrella, but then looking at my Penguin collection I realized just how rarely he is given an open one so I let it slide.

Common villain color, even with Marvel. I think because heroes are usually red or blue, so purple and green contrast them.

Just a little too tall for my bat villain display. Almost as tall as Three Jokers Clown (pink) Joker. I bent the legs to make him shorter.

In a case like this with someone who has such a unique body shape, the reuse doesn't bother me. Overall I love it
